Fantasy Football Players: What is your playoff report?

I'm in two leagues and won both my games. I thought long term this season, and it's paying off. It hurt to keep an injured Garcon on my bench throughout the season. It lost me a few games, with only 13 on a roster in that league. I won just enough to win the playoffs, and now I'm outpointing everybody in the league. I have Big Ben, too, so I picked up Colin K. as the SF situation was developing. Big Ben would have been better today, but I didn't take that risk. Colin saved his day with the 50 yard td late in the game, salvaged my questionable decision just enough. In my other league, I should have lost. The Green Bay snow saved me. My opponent and I were tied, and he had Aaron Rodgers and Greg J. against my Calvin Johnson and R. Cobb. He was just a little ahead going into tonight, but lucky me.

I really should quit fantasy football; I think about it way too much. It'd probably be more social to put that time into spades, scrabble, darts, or dice.

Try fantasy basketball. I hated the NBA before but this is my second year doing Fantasy Basketball and I'm watching the NBA now nightly.

Another year for me to dwell in the consilation bracket. I'm in two leagues and both my 1st-rounders on IR, and in one of my leagues I lost last 3 game stretch to go from the 1 seed to the outside looking in.

\until next year.

I'm in the playoffs in all leagues I'm in, but Gronkowski being hurt is absolutely killing me. I picked up Myers from Oakland, and he put up a big 17ing goose egg this weekend. Great timing. I am down by 16 in my big pay league...I have Brady, New England's D, and Shayne Graham going for me tomorrow night, and my opponent only has Arian Foster left. If Arian has a decent game I will likely lose, but our playoffs are two weeks at a time because we have a small league. SO basically, If I lose I need to make it as close of a loss as possible so I will have a chance to win it next weekend and make it to the finals.

I looked like a dumbass picking up Megatron, Lynch, P. Manning, B. Marshall, Sproles, and Harvin (ehhh... I have lately) in the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6th rounds. Lynch has been beast and Manning is having arguably the year of his career. Marshall and Cutler have gone off this season too. I somehow managed to get Morris off waivers after he crushed my Saints in week one and he has put up 15+ every week.

Looks like I'm winning the $300 pool this year too.

I'm in the playoffs in my money league which is the only one I really care about. Currently I'm in first with the second highest scoring team, but it's going to come down to tomorrow if I'm going to win this round or not. I'm currently up by 4 thanks to Cobb giving me 10 points, but my dad has Houston's defense and I have Andre Johnson, so I'm hoping that Tom Brady lights them up while Andre snags a couple of td's.

I kind of got lucky this year since 2 of my main point getters, I got them either in the 5th round or later and they were Peyton Manning and CJ Spiller. Ray Rice and AJ Green have been tearing it up for me too, but AJ, Peyton and a couple of others like Gonzalez and Atlanta's D kind of underperformed for me today. I can still pull it off, but it'll be tough. Plus... I'd be ecstatic to win knowing that my dad had Peterson and still lost.

It looks like I'll make the finals of the Sixpack league on espn. Only league I made the playoffs in - wish we had made it a pay league.

On the football side I'm in the first round, we have 2 week rounds and im currently down 30 with Brady going tonight so a big game makes it near even going into next week. Fred Jackson Jimmy Graham and Matt Forte have been somewhat disappointing. Demaryus Thomas ha been solid and Garçon has come on strong since the injury. I've been fortunate to catch a lot of opponents bad weeks and byes so I have the lowest points against in the league. If all my players have solid weeks and get into the endzone I should easily make it to the championship. Also have BJGE and Vick Ballard, rotating D depending on who the chiefs or Cardinals are playing, Lawrence Tynes #1 kicker.

I've never played but my 11-year old played for the first time. He will be the #1 seed in the playoffs. He has the best record (2-game lead) and also has scored the most points in his league. He drafted real well on wideouts, avoiding Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson, etc. to get Reggie Wayne, Vincent Jackson, and Demaryius Thomas without using high picks. He picked up Randall Cobb later in the year. Marshawn Lynch has done real well for him. Jimmy Graham has been a little disappointing considering he was his 2nd round pick.

Won my college fantasy league...

Just as I love watching/following college football so much more than pros, I love college fantasy football so much more than pro fantasy football. Our league only allowed players/defenses from BCS conferences and the independents (BYU, Army, etc).

My report is 17 YOU, Arizona!!

This one is technically just a friendly league, but any of you serious players know that there's no such thing. I led the league in points by a wide margin after piecing this juggernaut together...

QB - Peyton
WR1 - Megatron
WR2 - Julio Jones
RB1 - Lynch
RB2 - Gore
TE - Gronk (Then Tony G after Gronk's injury)
Flex - Bryce Brown
K - Tynes
Defense - San Fran

So what happens? After 8 straight wins, I play my wife in the 1st round of the playoffs who picks up Seattle's 17ing D a couple days ago. 59 points later, I'm done... Yes, for you married saps, it was the ultimate double whammy and I've never been so pissed about losing a FF game in my life. The coffee table got sent flying across the room a couple times yesterday, and let's just say that we're lucky that we hadn't gotten the Christmas tree down quite yet.

I'm going to win my game in my money league so there's some consolation, but my team is pretty terrible in that league so I know there's nothing to get too excited about.

There is no telling what my blood pressure measures on Sunday afternoons...

I'm a big NBA fan, but I had to quit the fantasy league after three seasons because I just couldn't deal with the daily lineup checks. The long season also got to where it was just too much of a grind for me. Do you guys do anything in particular to keep things interesting? A few of the guys suggested mid season awards/payouts and a few other things like that, but it never happened so I moved on.

It's head to head not rotisserie so there's **** talking that can be meaningful, rather than trying to maximize a statistical category.

2 money leagues

League 1- got eliminated from the playoffs this weekend. It's a 12 team league and I had a pretty good team- until Gronk, Fred Jackson, and Big Ben got hurt.

League 2- PPR league-won 1st round game. Lost Gronk on this team also, but I did get RG3 as my back-up QB in round 10. I traded Brees for RB help earlier in the season. Roddy White, Cruz, Moreno, Jamal Charles, Rams D, Matt Prater...looks like I'll be playing the best team in the league with Josh Freeman at QB though. He has AP, Foster, and Lynch- so I may get an ***-beating this coming weekend

Out of two leagues, I'm pretty sure I just got bounced in one and I had a bye in the other.

I've got Andre Johnson going up against Arian Foster tonight and I need Andre to outscore Arian by about 30 points... so yeah, I'm pretty much out of that one. Only scored 1 TD out of my 6 skill position players... and Aaron Rodgers played a pooper last night (probably more the weather than anything).

In the bye league, I went 12-1 in the reg season and am sitting nicely for the final four starting next week. My biggest concern is that I have Andre Johnson and Arian Foster. If the Texans beat NE tonight, they all but lock-up homefiel advantage and I could see Kubiak resting those players down the stretch if that occurs. I do have Blackmon/Garcon/Dwyer on the bench, so my backups aren't that bad, which may be my saving grace.

You never know, ShowMeStateDawg. I'd wish you good luck, but my dad needs AJ to have his worst night ever tonight. One of the great things about the NFL is that the amazing players take turns being the star. Somebody we've never even thought about could be last week's Bryce Brown tonight.

Playoffs in 2 of 3 leagues..

All money leagues.

Up 11 points in one league going against Schaub tonight.(not good for me)
This sucks, I was in first place all year in this league. Damn you Adrian Peterson..

Up 66.18 points going against Brady tonight.

I am also tied for 4th in a NFL pickem contest...(need a few good weeks)

Had NYG and Green Bay yesterday to really piss of my bookie this week...

How did he get AP, Foster and Lynch? That had to be after trades...

nope- those were his 1st 3 picks...AP was coming off an injury, got him in the 2nd round...Lynch was drafted in the 3rd...PPR league- so guys like Gronk, Jimmy Graham, Calvin, Roddy, Cruz- all were drafted highly- plus all the top tier QB's

If I could make my own rules in a league...

1. Special Teams would be like defense. Nothing like your kicker going down leaving you with 0 pts from a position that gets you 7+ pts every week.
2. If you have an even number of teams, the upper half of the high scoring teams gets a W - the bottom half gets a L. Losing 140-139 when you are then 2nd highest point total for the weeks sucks. Plus, if you are team #6 headed into MNF in a 10 team league for that week - you are watching a lot more teams instead of the guy you are playing.

only one money league for me this year, dominated total points so taking the $250 for that and #2 seed. Bye week this week, next week I'm up against #3. I was lucky to string together Foster, Lynch, AJ Green, Harvin, and Peyton with 1-5 picks but I'm afraid Foster may sit as a precaution and Denver runs the ball a bunch to protect Manning... Atleast I picked up Forsett as a handcuff if they sit Foster and tell us beforehand.

If everyone plays bring me my thousand bucks

Last year was my first time at fantasy. Lost in the championship game. This year we have a 12 man league, and I received a bye for the first round of playoffs so I'll get back with after next week. I love it though.

A classmate of mine is in a league just like this. It's everyone vs everyone each week and the top 6 scorers get a W. I really like that setup and am going to try and do a league like this next year.
