I never felt like Devine lived up to the hype, but I never felt like it was his fault. I always felt he was not used as effectively as he could have been.
He was very productive. Twisted his ankle in his Sr. season and never fully recovered. But still rushed over 1,000 yards. His Jr season he had 1549 yds. Who knows how many more yds he would have had if not for the ankle.

Based on ability and expectations I still think he could have done better. I think he had the potential for a couple of 2000 yard seasons.
Again though, I don’t think it was his fault.
