I looked it up so you don’t have to: John Harbaugh will become 64 years old this year.
He’s a good coach, but older than the traditional Steelers hire, which happens so infrequently. He also has his in game moments that make you scratch your head.

I believe that Harbaugh coached Baltimore out of a playoff spot this year. His use/misuse of Derrick Henry was jaw-dropping.
The same thing in last years playoffs. They were running very effectively and stopped? Why?

Seriously? He'd be better than 90% of what the networks foist as "on-air talent" if he were passed out.
I never pay attention to press conferences or at-the-half questions. I never read the captions.

It’s been my impression that Tomlin is a very quiet, unassuming guy and thought maybe that wouldn’t translate well to the broadcast booth. He’s not Rex Ryan.

Thanks for the clarification.

so? you are for age discrimmination?
Why the snark? If you had looked up three or four posts above the one you responded to you’d have read that I thought Johnny H would be a good fit for the Steelers HC. And this was when I thought he was 66, 67. All I said was that he was 64 years old this year, nothing more or less. <brushes off shoulder>

I agree that I don’t think he wants to go into broadcasting, but to me I think he would be awesome.

In his press conferences he says nothing--ever. Maybe that changes on the air. He's knowledgeable but...

lol so it’s not just me. Whew. Every day it’s something new that I realize I know nothing about, that gets old.

John Harbs just added +900. Would love to see Marcus leave ND

I highly doubt the Steelers hire anyone that has been a HC--just not what they've ever done
Chris Shula and Jeff Hafley should be the obvious picks but I'm not sure the Steelers would hire a coach that wasn't fitting the requirements of the Rooney Rule. Randle El and Weaver are strong possibilities

I like Shula as a candidate; he’s relatively young and has been a successful coordinator, and I think that he would realize the importance of having a good offense by coaching under McVay.

My brother, sister and I are season ticket holders (the tickets have been in our family since the early 70s when my father and uncle bought them), and I’m happy that Tomlin resigned not because I dislike him, but because he simply stayed too long and the organization had become very stagnant. I think that he also.will be rejuvenated by going to a new team.
