There isn't a way to filter forum conversations to "staff" only.
This was very useful on the previous site, especially when certain threads received hundreds of replies.

Mentioned above, but was one of my favorite features from 247 boards, the option to filter only STAFF posts was great.

I know people were clamoring for an app, but please do as much as you can to improve the desktop browser experience. Currently it makes a bad impression and a lot of us are on the fence about which site to stick with.

Something I do like here is the Disable Video Player button, which was badly needed on 247.

On the mobile app, the notifications do not display. They do display if you use a browser on your phone.

What is the cost if I opt for ad-free? I got through partial sign-up but without seeing the cost, didn’t pull the trigger.

On longer articles, the page reloads maybe a dozen or so times and I have to start all over each time.
It takes an average of maybe 15 to 30 seconds to load every new page on my iPhone which was not true on previous IC.
I am seeing a lot of ads, so am hoping that if I opt for ad-free (if cost is reasonable) maybe that would fix these issues, but this is NOT SOMETHING I CAN GET USED TO.
I have never installed ad-blocker software and would like to avoid that if possible

Hmm I thought I posted this here earlier but I don’t see it so will surface again:

Can you please paste the content of the article into the message board thread when you post it (I.e. what you did on 247)? This was great for a few reasons:

1. Removes an unnecessary click
2. Articles on this site are currently very difficult to read given the prevalence of ads
3. You can go straight from the article’s contents into reading posters’ responses to the article
4. You can read the article in dark mode

This seems like a fairly simple feature and one that’s clearly doable given that it’s how things worked on 247. Thoughts?

Trying to update my profile avatar - every picture that I upload from my Mac or iPhone has the orientation incorrect. Picture is correct on my source device (Photos), I select it to upload, preview looks fine, then when I go to save it, the photo is flipped 90 degrees sideways. Any suggestions on this?

So testing this out before fully subscribing, though I'm sure I will. I subscribe not for the extra "stuff" but because Ben and Buck have always had a great product.

I didn't see where to ask this so I thought I'd toss it in here instead of starting a new thread. So just to make sure, I'll subscribe here for a dollar or whatever for two or three months, then fully subscribe (which is around same price as it was at 247)?

In the meantime, my subscription at 247 expires when it expires? I think I was through December there, so this will be a pretty seamless transition.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it makes sense to me, since I have really gotten a lot of use out of Paramount Plus, to just keep that subscription going, because that way, I can get Paramount Plus, along with the sports stuff there as well? Then I can just buy a subscription here to keep Ben, Buck, et al?

Y'all correct me if I'm too dense to figure it out.

Also, the banner ad at the bottom is a gigantic pain in the rear on a laptop. Thanks all, and good luck, Ben et al on the new transition!

Pretty sure it will auto-bill if your card on file is still good and you don't manually unsubscribe.

They should obviously fix this but a workaround for you would just be rotating the picture -90 degrees on your iPhone so that when you upload it, it will appear normal. You just click the settings icon in iOS photos, then crop, then the top left is the rotation button.

How can you see what threads you’ve previously viewed?

When going through multiple pages of a thread and hitting my browser button, I have to cycle back through each page I looked at or as a short cut go to the forum menu up top to get to the forum thread page. The 247 system allowed us to scroll through many pages but when you hit the browser back button you immediately were taken to the forum thread page. One click rules!!

On the Alerts page, you should not have to select Mark As Read if you’ve clicked on the alert….that should clear it.

Haven’t figured that one out yet myself.

@BenSherman - could we implement a similar solution we had previously where maybe the “New” indicator is moved to be left aligned and it populates on threads you’ve viewed? They could persist the bold/non-bold thread titles to indicate the thread has been viewed. If you haven’t clicked into the thread, everything would be “new” so them being on every thread is redundant and makes it tough to spot which threads you’re interested in following

I’ll even write the Jira ticket for it if they need it lol

ETA: have them look at what discord does with counts for each reaction as well. Make them be clickable to see who reacted in which way as well

Thanks for this opportunity to give feedback.

Following is broken - no notifications. And notifications in general are difficult to access and currently impossible to see in the App in dark mode. I assume that will get fixed but notifications needs work.

Also I miss seeing the whole text of an article in the forum thread. The fewer times we have to click the better.

That said, the app rules, once you pay for no ads the overall experience is very good. The ability to add pictures and attachments seems very intuitive.

But not getting notifications when a staff member or a board member you're following posts is a serious negative for me.

Strictly a UI request - can we get the full Inside Carolina logo on the mobile header? I like what’s up there but I would like to see the IC branding

Feature request - when clicking into a thread I’ve visited before it drops me at the first post I haven’t seen - which all good - but there’s no indicator for which is the new post on the screen. Previously we had the blue line separating new from old EDIT: just kidding. The “new” badge in the individual posts wasn’t registering. Line would be a nice enhancement for that even if the badge stays

#2 - flip color the usernames. Probably similar fix to what’s happening with the other bug fixing the menus of dark mode

Haha, that was the first thing I tried before posting - great minds! Didn't work, though. Finally found a picture that worked (after trying like 5 or 6 different options). Definitely a bug. Orientation is correct on iPhone, preview shows correct, then the UI rotates it after "save". Weird.

Can we get a full page view for Alerts? The pull down menu is pretty small, especially compared to what we are all used to seeing on our Alerts page, which was a full screen. I know the Alerts for follows is not yet working, but I assume that will come soon.
