was the first one I remember going to. Could have been to earlier ones, but I don't remember. At least this one was a win for the good guys!

MSU was 7-3 and heavily favored. OM was 3-6.<div>Bulldogs were awful for over 2 1/2 quarters. Lots of fumbles running the veer.</div><div>OM took lead on a pass to James Reed where he came off the bench late and they threw it to him unguarded. (Can't do that anymore.)</div><div>Late in 3rd quarter, OM fumbled and MSU recovered around the OM 29. Walter Packer took it the distance on the next play and that settled the Bulldogs down a bunch.</div><div>Went on to a 31-13 victory!</div>

The pre-game fight. Sherrill electing to attempt a long field goal instead of pinning the rebels deep within the last few minutes of the game. J. J. Johnson taking himself out of the game late in the fourth quarter. Ole Miss converting a two-point conversion to win the game. </p>

went to one in Jackson, probably 1980, but don't really remember it. The 94 game I went with my future wife from oxford (she was a dawg) and her daddy who bled blue and red. Kevin Bouie was in my social psychology class - came one day during the whole semester, sat at the front of the class, put his head down on the desk, and started snoring. The prof was a first year from Columbia and a native new yarker. She stared at him for about 5 minutes trying to figure out what to do, looked at us, and we gave her the "don't do it" hand wave, so she just ignored him.

I remember being down at the bottom of the bleachers and Bouie runs past me with the ball, halling ***, my future father in law screaming and spilling his crown royal and coke all over me, and Bouie disappearing into the fog. It was pretty cool.
