Well one little weekend and all will be correct (nearly) in the rankings world come Tuesday. The click bait firestorm abated as quickly as it came.
Blaze and Duke wrestled to how we see the world.
My hammer of the weekend award goes to Josh Barr. Lightning quick and powerful. I am sorry guys but anyone who thinks the pending wrestleoff is anything more than just a formality, ain't watching the same guy(s) I am. Conner had a fantastic run, but Josh? Holy cow!
Josh should be #1, but I will say Elam with that length is looking really really good, and he will give Josh a solid test. Anyone else? Foggetaboutit.

Idk, 8 points over under for ohio state dual. Seems fair to me. Ohio st is fudging sneaky good this year.

Not sure what a Predictuon is, but if it allows you to be 70% confident about a future event, well then, that sounds like something the Flo rankers need to get their hands on. Might pair well with their Magic 8 Ball.

Really? I thought Kosak did a good job there. Watters didn’t deserve the 1 and Cannons had a great year thus far. Duke at 3 is better than the 11 they had him at
I just don't understand how a team can pass up two teams that were ahead of them last week, when they haven't beaten either team and neither team lost this weekend. In fact....tOSU soundly beat a top 4 team. Makes no sense. I guess all that bitching and moaning scared the rankers into changing their votes. SAD

Simple answer is they put Barr back in the rankings and #1. Although he is behind Elam in p4p rankings.
Marcus Blaze ranked 6th? Behind a 3 loss Ayala. Behind Larkin who has same best win but forfeited a match that counts as a loss I believe with the new forfeit rules (I could be wrong but pretty sure that goes on official record).

Yeah - after what Blaze did to Knox, all they did was flip flop the two.
Why not redo 133 like they did 157?

I guess they’re not dropping Drake from 4 because his 3 losses are to 1,2 and 3. Larkin and Blaze have similar resumes but I’d ding him for the FF

Desmond should be ranked #1 at 125 and around #8 at 141.
It's tournament scoring based on a model not dual meet. PSU never fell from the #1 dual meet spot.

With PJ moving up to 3, PSU now has 7 wrestlers ranked in the top 4… and it’s just a matter of time till Marcus makes it 8 
If Nagao remains out for a while, we might get to the point where our deepest weight on the team has the lowest ranking. Crazy great times.
I know Cannon is undefeated (against D1 competition) with all bonus point wins but I just can’t ignore Melvin Miller putting it on him. And then watching Melvin lose to Jayden. Thinking that PJ isn’t the best guy at this weight takes mental gymnastics.
Yes, Marcus is one of the best with his positioning. I think he must train extensively with Nagao.
Although he wrestled good competition, when he lost, the final score in the matches weren't that close: 11-5, 7-2, and 10-4.
At the end of the day, the purpose of the intro season rankings is to allow one to evaluate whether upcoming opponent wrestlers (a) have no pulse, (b) have a pulse, (c) are credible, or (d) might present an interesting matchup. In other words, they are qualitative rather than quantitative in value.
I like what Flo did at 157, everyone getting huge boosts from beating Cardenas was starting to get ridiculous. However, based on Flo's ranking logic Melvin Miller would be the #1 guy at 157, which I can't exactly argue with based on results but I don't think is necessarily correct.
He was #11 last week and #6 this week. The superscript 5 is the number of slots he moved (green for up, red for down) rather than the previous ranking.
But an inferred duck was part of the justification for moving Ty Watters down from #1 at 157.
Flo may be listening that their ranking approach contributes to ducking.
