For those upset about UT fans filling seats...

Has there always been a seat license fee for these mini season ticket packages? Even still, not a bad price to get the 3 marquee games remaining

Bottom line is, if we ever want the program to permanently elevate, we can't continue to use excuses like this. In that vein, I agree with @retire the banner. I used to fight the good fight as well. And people like you (DCD) would continually try to say I was getting mad about nothing, etc. Well, if we continue to think like you, we'll stay right where we are.

But alas, the last few years broke me and I no longer care.

Here are my thoughts.
First, move all of the faculty to the upper deck. They shouldn't be allowed to sit down there given how often they sell their tickets.
Second, lower the prices of their seats to what the upper deck costs currently to get them filled.
Just like the students who get a discount, faculty should have to show a faculty badge and get a wrist band at the gate to enter the faculty seating area.

As I mentioned in another thread, if you don’t want to commit to season tickets and go to home football games, that’s fine. But just say it. Stop with the excuses, it’s too hot, we had 3 games in a row, our team wasn’t good last year, I’d rather sit at home, etc., etc.

These are all reasons almost every fan across every fanbase in America can give, but guess what, we’re the only SEC school that has an attendance problem at the moment.

What in the last two years would motivate anyone to buy season tickets on top of them raising ticket prices this year? There’s been an effort to make things better in the last last year but it’s at the point you’ve got what you’ve got You just have to go out and win games and get people back which I think they’re doing.

They can sit there. Just pay a premium without a discount.
You want the discount? Take the discount seat.

The faculty get their tickets free. They should have a separate gate(s) that they have to go through and have their faculty badge scanned with their ticket to get into the game. 17-em if they don't like it.

I went to a game for the first time in about 7 years last year. The Arkansas game. Took my youngest daughter for her first game. Everything about the experience was miserable outside of showing her around campus and spending time with her. I knew we were in trouble this year from that one game.

Actually they should put visiting teams in the upper deck and have those seats available for state fans.

Man no one showed up to games the year Leach went 8-4. I remember the Arkansas game that season, we were ranked, just beat a&m the week before, weather was perfect, and there were 10k empty seats. Its excuses. Our problem is deeper than what you’re saying

I don't blame state fans for taking a wait and see approach. However once we reached 3-0 with a huge sec match up, I expected a big bump in State fans at the game.

Maybe there was a small bump but not enough.

I mean i understand why we have an attendance problem, BUT to pretend that faculty selling their tickets hasn't been a problem is stupidity or just straight lying.

Mississippi State fans poor mouth because they are poor. Not just poor in spirit, actually poor.

We have the smallest alumni base in the SEC and not enough big money donors.

We do the best we can.

Seriously dude it was a joke. CNN and the bunch reliably report the news without any bias!!

FACT: Faculty section has been notorious for always having tons of visitor fans mixed in amongst the faculty. Purely coincidence i'm sure.
