Second season begins Friday. I don't know too much about Forest Hills. I know they used to be tough back in the day.

They will be athletic with some speed and plenty of size. Jammie Deese who played at Scotland County and then was a star WR at Wake Forest, and helped West Florida to a D2 national title as an assistant coach, is the new coach. He’s gotten the kids out and the program starting to turn around in one season. PG will have their hands full in this one.

No talk about this game? Looked to be one of the best matchups in the opening round.

Idk enough about either to really comment. I think on paper they have similar strength defenses and PG's offense seems to be more potent. I believe PG gets the win at home. 28-21

FH is very young, but their talent comes from their youth. A lot of their playmakers are sophomores. They’re decent-sized for a 2A team, and have overachieved this season so far. Their defense is fast and won’t be beat to the edges, but can be had in the passing game. Their offense likes to control the clock and move the chains. They did lose their best DE, RB and WR earlier in the season, but have been battle-tested, having taken on Charlotte Latin and Monroe.

If they can be had in the passing game that spells trouble if PG quarterback Luke Thomas is on. He has the ability to take over a game. He is one of a handful of good athletes PG has, they are not overly athletic. PG may struggle with the speed of Forest Hills and their defense is solid, but struggles if you go right at them. Intriguing matchup may have to go see this one.

Sounds like both teams could/will give each other problems. Could come down to special teams. PG has not put the "special" in special teams as of late. If FH can limit the amount of time that the PG offense is on the field, I think they can pull the upset. In pro wrestling terms, FH will have to "cut the ring in half".

Heard PG lost a top lineman. Really hate to hear that it’s sickening when these kids get injured.

Crap. I hate to hear that. I know it's "Next man up" and all but you really don't want to have to replace a lineman right before playoffs.

Jackets too big, fast and athletic thus far. Not a surprise
Might be true but from what Tony saying on broadcast those 35 yard drives after turnovers are not helping home team. Of course I'm sure Forest Hills is helping cause those TOs.

Jackets have turned the ball over as well. I’m watching on NFHS. Also had a coach text me from the game saying the same thing. Forest Hills has always had a different level of size and athlete especially compared to PG. with Deese coaching them they are staying home and rising back up. Thomas and Rogers are going to have to have tremendous second halves if PG has a shot to win. And FH will have to make a mistakes moreso than they even did in the first half with turnovers and penalties

FH has one turnover. They did have a ton of penalties though. I am listening so I know watching you can tell a lot more as to athletic ability and size. Doesn't sound like Providence Grove is going to have a good night.

Neither....following through what you guys are saying. Appreciate the updates. My health has kept me away from games the last couple of years and it stinks.

Well the PG home flags are starting again. Forest Hills will have to weather them for sure. Plus Thomas is being Thomas. Just a great player.

Rogers is such a great player as well especially for his size. He’s taken a beating tonight but keeps battling
