Former Richmond coaches WIN the East and West

Congratulations to Coach Hoggard and Kesler for taking Edenton to the Eastern State Championship game. And how about Eddins, Neal and Johnson taking West Montgomery to the Western State Championship game. It shows that working hard pays off and a little up the middle don't hurt...

Why did they run him off down in Richmond? He seemed to be like a great coach but all I saw were people saying how bad he was on these sites.

I don't know why, maybe this maybe that,I do know there were a lot of vocal people in the stands telling the team and coaches how wrong they were, our problem is those people..they show up at every game to spout off with there lack of respect for anything or anyone.I saw it myself how rude they are toward our coaches, I have saw coaches wife's in tears because of them...

They wanted that wide open passing game..they claimed hoggard was a one trick pony as far as play calling...it was too.boring for all those couch coaches lol

Semantics ... it's all relative '14. "Quit?" I think not - however (again), all relative & perspective driven. But, it's all good. Everything has worked out fine - depending upon your point of view.

If you think he just "QUIT" you are living in a bubble. You keep say he quit all the time, you should talk to him and ask why he left. Coach Hogg knows FAMILY is more important than football.

Hoggard did what he felt was best for his family and the program / community. If he would have stayed and RC lost only in the state title game with his son at QB people would have complained they should have won it and would have won it with the other QB. You only want to put your wife and kids through so much.

I am not a Richmond guy but Paul Hoggard is a class act.

So what's the deal in Richmond County. Are there assistant(s) jockeying for the head coaching position? Is a retired assistant making waves? Does someone with a personal interest who the next HFC is have a connection with the person that makes the decisions on who is hired?

I would rather be at the dance than sitting at home. West Montgomery had a terrible year...15-1. Not sure of Edenton's record but they did make it to the championship.
