Whoa. #5 for Andrews breaks one for 72 yards. That young man has some speed. Swain 21-6 over Andrews... kick was blocked.
Bowers takes the ensuing kickoff to the house for the Devils... but a personal foul nullifies it. Three called back for the Devils, and it's not even halftime. Lots of penalties on both sides this game.
Braves driving on Rosman, but Rosman intercepts pass at their own 11 yd. line.

Dang. 4th down Hail Mary pass and scored with 4 second to go in half. 14-0 Rosman at the half.

Don't think I've ever seen a more heavily penalized half of football. Both sides hit with all kinds of penalties, from offsides to personal fouls. Not much restraint by the teams, *or* the refs, who are calling everything they see (and a bunch of stuff I *didn't* see).

Sounds like Swain was impressive tonight. Makes last week with
Andrews against Murphy even more confusing.

Braves just keep shooting themselves in the foot! Take opening drive to the 3 yard line. 1st and goal. Then get two penalties in a row! And don't score. Holds Rosman to a 3 and out and then drives down and scores!!! Yea! Nope, called back on holding penalty. Then with the Braves trailing 6-0 with a few seconds to go before halftime, Everybody in the stadium knows the Tigers are going to throw it in the end zone. They do and make it..... Oh well.......

Swain is tough. Robbinsville and Rosman will be good match ups for them. Andrews lost 2 more players tonight. 3 short tonight already. Just not enough depth to replace that at Andrews. Hope we stagger into playoffs and get some of these young men back
I would give the edge to Murphy because of their passing game. Other than that, they look pretty even to me.
Hayesville couldnt stop Lane last night. He cut through the Jackets Defense with ease. The score could have been 80=8 if Walsh had wanted it to be. Hayesville scored once on our Starting D and Once on our JVs. Freshmen Orr and A.J. had good runs.
Yea, that Hayesville defense is terrible, was the same with Rosman. They cannot stop a quick ball carrier period. They might defend a pass or two though. What a joke!!!! The boys played hard though, it's time for some leadership for Hayesville, or just shut down the program. You have to know, Hayesville has a defensive coordinator that learned how to coach defense from YouTube recently, ( so they say), so it is what it is.
The DC is new but no excuse. You know how defenses get nicknames like The Grit's Blitz or the Black Shirts? Jackets could change to the Green Lights. They don't stop anybody!

Haha, no doubt. I think my point is their unsure about how the defense works, it seems Hayesville defense seems timid and and confused most times.
