Looks like #84 for Swain, who went out early in the NH game, is out for the season. Sounds like it's next-man-up for Swain... but that's a big loss. Let's see what they can do to fill that gap.
Swain 7, Franklin 0. Franklin's failed fake punt deep in their own end of the field comes back to bite as Swain drives it 25 yards or so to take the lead. 1st qtr.
Murphy now up 28-0. 5 mins to go in the 1st. North Georgia has negative yards on offense and murphy has scored once on defense and has scored 3 straight times on the 1st snap of each offensive possession. I see the starters out after the 1st quarter of this one.
Swain and Franklin knotted up at 7. Kloeppel takes it 37 yards for the score. About 4 minutes left in the 1st half.
Props to Swain, they are giving Franklin everything they want and more. Radio guys from Franklin saying they are physical as it gets!

Swain D is playing lights-out, but the Franklin offense is hard to stop. If the Devils can get the offense untracked, this might be a real game in the 2nd half. But if not, attrition will decide.
Franklin 20, Swain 7. Panthers take the opening kickoff and drive 82 yards for the score, with one play accounting for about 70 yards. Penalty kills the PAT. About 9 minutes to go in the 3rd.
Franklin 35, Swain 7. Panthers take one play to turn a Swain fumble on their own 25 into points. Still about 4:45 to go in the 3rd.
Franklin 42, Swain 14. #7 takes it to the house for Franklin from about 60 yards out. 9 minutes or so to go in the game.
It's Final, Devils never gave up! No Ref crying on this one either Franklin had 14 penalties Swain had maybe 1.
Franklin 42, Swain 21, final. Panthers' offense was just too much for the Devils, and Swain had no offensive answer.
Good luck to the Panthers the rest of the season. Such a talented and well-discliplined team should go far this year.
