From another thread... It is entirely plausible that we play OM on Saturday...

OM would have to beat Auburn and Tennessee, we would have to beat Georgia and Vanderbilt, but it is entirely plausible. As well as OM is playing and if we keep up what we've done this past weekend, we could be playing them. So would that be a play-in game for both of us? If OM beats us, would the committee take 6 SEC teams, or would they leave one of us out? I haven't thought about this... but I think this is maybe not probable, but certainly not impossible.

bubble field looks... but they may have a case to take 6 SEC teams... especially if they beat us.

the field is pretty much set going into conference tournaments.

I think them and UT have to basically win NOLA to make the NCAAs. At least make the championship game.

and last year taught me that OM and UT have to win it to get in. The committee has 5 SEC teams in right now. I doubt it changes.

..keeps increasing exponentially with each passing day.

First we had to beat USC, or we were out. Beat USC, we are still in. So we beat USC.

Then we had to beat UPig or we're out. We beat UPig...but we're still out.

Now a win over UGA in the tournament is a must...or we are out.

Now we must beat UGA, Vandy & Ole Miss or we are out.

All I know is the experts claimed MSU had to beat USC & UPig to get in. Predictably, since MSU has met their criteria, they are changing their tune.

I think if we beat Vandy then we make it to the finals. It is entirely plausable for us to meet Ole Miss in the semis and it would be great to beat them and make it in the tourney while it secures them a NIT #1 seed.

tourny to get in the ncaa's. if we win a couple i'll feel obligated to be righteously indigant if we're left out but geez we've got only 18 wins.......in a relatively weak SEC.......
