they are also a Big East team, have a 2nd year coach who has had time to alter the roster, and 5-2 on the season

And just because Wendell Lewis is on scholarship doesnt make him any better

5-2 is a testament to their coach. He's done a good job with the situation he's been dealt. I was just pointing out they are in a similar situation to us and they are dragging the floor with us.

And if we didn't have Lewis we would be in REALLY bad shape this game. He's actually playing hard this game for the first time this year.

Similar situation? Maybe if Ray had inherited this team with Stansbury's 11 class of Gardner, Hood, and Smith intact... Providence has the #7 recruiting class in the country on the floor right now as freshmen, including the #8 SG and #10 PG...

it's so nice to see an intelligent post for a change...as I said, this guy is in his 2nd year, so he actually has had a chance to improve the roster...people are bitching about Ray just to ***** or they have an agenda

Back to single digits. Yeah, Providence is in bad shape, but they have more experience on the bench and on the floor and are playing at home. Good hustle by our guys.

True but you have to love the fact that we have not given up and with their best player out we have cut the lead to six. Playing hard and never quitting and playing together.....if we only had talent. Imagine if Coach Ray can bring in some talent and get them to play this hard.

I have to agree with this. I know some folks like to begin the coaching bashing when things haven't taken off and that's unfortunate at least for the meantime.

Color me impressed at the play, grit, and fight in the team right now. They are going to get beat a lot and know it but are playing to their abilities right now.

How easy would it be for them to roll over and ride out the game when they get down like today. But they keep hustling and I like that.

Just gotta get some players in to get back on track. And that has very little to do with Ray this year.
