I always agree Clark is most important player on team but also proving is probably the best player on the team as well. Guys like Simpkins and Mccray earlier in the year had their moments, but Clark and Simpkims are the two most consistent guys, but Clark constantly needs to be on the floor anyway so he is that important.

Even the guys have to play together and 3 to 4 guys have to play great to win games consistently. We need that if the team really wants to still make the tournament.

Long, long way to go here. Stay aggressive, I am not a fan of the super slow down offense under 3:30.

Let's go

Great game for Clark. Big minutes from Godswill. Lot of good. Few things that need to be tightened up. Gotta beat the bad teams and PC is one of them. Next up Butler. They’re going to bring that 1-3-1 against us and not let Clark in the lane. Good win today. Enjoy it. Let’s get another one Sunday

I do think offense has looked much better even during the Creighton game. Get mood swings watching this team when things go bad, but try to bring myself back to reality and try to look at the positives now and hopefully future.

End of day to have a chance we have to enter big east tournament with a. fighting chance. Got to get 20-23 wins. I mean I think we can literally get to 20 with upcoming next three games though we know how frustrating they can be.

IDK if one win against St Johns or UCONN will do, but just getting one would be huge for this team's confidence to at least make a close run in the BE tournament.

I mean think about it, we have basically shown we can beat most of the league outside Nova, St Johns, and UConn. We haven't beat Depaul and Butler yet, but I feel we should be capable considering how we have faired against the rest.

We haven’t shown we can blow anyone out. We get down but we have a press that can get us back into any game. Sunday scares me the most of the winnable games. Thad Matta might not have the best players but he’s the smartest of the coaches. He will zone us like he did at the Rock. The 1-3-1 will make things tough on Clark. They also showed they could handle our press at the Rock. Now it’s at their place. It won’t be easy. It’s just going to come down to making enough shots.

The good news for us the other coaches are so stubborn that even if Matta makes us look bad with the 1-3-1, i don’t picture DePaul, Georgetown or Xavier using it against us because they won’t deviate from what they do to attack us.

Would love a player like Stefan Vaaks from Providence on our team next yr. A player who can really shoot the ball .That is the missing part on this years team .

DePaul pulled it off
Beating Butler on Sat is critical[revenge motive],enuf of this 1-3-1 babble, penetrate the lane, draw the D to Adam, then he gets the Pill to Stephen III, Najai, Godswill, and away we go!
No reason to talk DeP until we do business in Indy

Regardless of the end result tonight. We look like a team that gave up and tuned out after the UCONN and St Johns games.

We look like a team full of players (minus 1 or 2 of them) that no longer care about the result and are only going thru the motions until they can choose their next destination. NIL era for you.
I see none of that while watching them in Nwk. Not at all.

Fair enough. In my opinion the only guys that truly give effort are Clark and Payne. And without a recent change in philosophy of allowing Clark to be our go-to scorer we would’ve lost by 15 last night due to the others efforts.

I don’t know how we will finish, but some posters on this thread are just ridiculous. How can someone say that guys have quit? If they came out tonight and got run over by PC then I would buy that. But exactly the opposite happened. They survived a non sustainable shooting half by PC, then just wore them down in the 2nd half. That’s effort, not guys quitting.

This team is very mediocre, unfortunately people conflict mediocrity with not caring. Thats the furthest thing from the truth. Theres a lot of mediocrity in the big east and it’s frustrating to be fighting tooth and nail with other mediocre teams. When you fight with mediocre teams it’s not really enjoyable basketball win or lose. I’m not one to say well I’m going to enjoy it because it’s better than we were predicted. I can enjoy high level ball win or lose. These guys play hard, they play with passion, they have guts but that’s not always going to translate being in the right position on the court, getting stops or making shots. Is this the best basketball we’ve since in 45 years? It’s not remotely close but it’s not for lack of effort 25 games in. I’ve found guys like Rivera who I root for because his passion for putting on the seton hall uniform is remarkable. You can tell he loves being here.

We won because of an all time great game by 1 player. Williams and Fischer have 100% given up. As soon as AJSM sees his shots not go in he also gives up. Hines’ effort is no where near the level it was in the beginning of the season. I stand by what I see and said.

Explain then how this group is still among the top 50 in the nation?

The answer to that is we’re beating up on bad teams. Both out of conference and now in conference. We have 1 high quality win all season. It is what it is, it’s better than losing.
