Meh, o-line is awful, and against a 2 win charlotte team, he's not really doing anything Towles didn't do against garbage teams. I'm glad they went with him tho.Barker looking good imo. Hope they continue starting him this year and into next.
thats true. i think we have the wind at our backs in this quarter... which could have also hurt him in the 1st quarterHe just kicked it through the endzone on after he made the FG. It could be that he's just a bit young yet.
Hardly ever understand that. Need 10, throw it 6 or whatever....don't make a no senseMan, that infuriates me more than anything. 3rd and long and throw short of the sticks. Looked like it was the called play also.

We have a 1AA OL and I'm not even kidding about that.
how much of being a good O Lineman is being big and strong and how much is technique?
like i know a 5'9" 165lbs guy can't technique his way through the SEC, but I'd be curious to know from someone who has coached or played OL
or is our struggles just a product of Bad PLay from the Unit as whole vs individual line play?
Technique is HUGE for linemen. If you look at the NFL draft.....specifically the NFL combine.....you will see that most of the best WR's all have fairly similar speed, fairly similar strength, etc........same for RB's......DB's.....etc. But the lines will have strength and speed numbers that are vastly more varied when compared to the other positions. Technique just matters that much.
I would take technique, line chemistry, defense awareness and recognition.........over pure speed/strength talent when it comes to the o-line.

CorrectDidn't you watch the 2 games this year against cupcakes? Those games were extremely tight and the weather was great.
There's about 100 people in the stands
Saw that on tv too. Looks like a high school freshmen game crowd. There's about 100 people in the stands
