I’m starting to believe he can’t. Last year our defense at its best was top 50. He needs a defensive coach. Boot Jason Hart IMO. Also, what does Alvin Brooks do? He was brought in to be a recruiter, who has he landed? Get a defensive guy on staff.

The scout would have you keep Mich St out of the paint and let them shoot. So far, they have made them but let’s see if they can keep it up
Right on queue a bad 3pt shooting team all of a sudden shooting lights out.

U know......I'm a big believer that if you want to play well 3 pt FG defense, running them off the 3 point line is more important than the %.
Last year and this year under Pope teams shoot a crazy number of 3s against us. Even Michigan St who while they don't hit a bunch ......also normally does not take a bunch.
The fact that they are taking them to me is more signficiant than the actual crazy % they are hitting at.

Garrison is gonna be this years "I hope he picks up fouls so he has to sit" kind of player. We seem to have one of those every year recently.

Yep. MSU, statistically at least, is a horrible 3-pt shooting team. Far more dangerous in the post. Pope obviously told guys to double the post against certain guys. Unfortunately MSU looks like an offensive juggernaut and is not playing like they have in other games.

Michigan State is quicker than us. So was Louisville. So will be a lot of teams.
Teams look completely unbothered against our defense, it's like a practice walk-through. This will be the third straight season of this crap.
