Yeah, just before davinner made the radio circuit and showed the world what a dumbass he is, gene and rose bowl were singing his praises, even talking about how he worked for the fbi. Anyone who talks to that guy and believes that he works for the fbi can be sold a bridge. Of course, it turns out he was an informant and the only requirement for that is you usually need to be a shady character.

What I am inferring out of all of this is that Devinner was the self-proclaimed go-between with Will Redmond and our booster who got popped by the NCAA. Am I reading that Gene and Steve worked WITH Byron Devinner in that case in an effort to hurt Paul Jones's site and the booster who gave Redmond the gifts or whatever? So while that guy was throwing Redmond to the hounds and trying to pull in other names too among his many, many, many stories, Gene and Steve were promoting his credibility and talking to him? So when he was trying to basically get us the death penalty with his stories, Gene and Steve were in a position to stop him and didn't because they were pissed off at Paul Jones and Political Hack??? Somehow Wardlaw was involved with all of that too, but I honestly don't remember why. Regardless, if Gene and Steve are in ANY kind of contact with Devinner now, that looks bad. You would think they would have better judgment than that, unless, as Todd said, Devinner owns them now because if he told what they did in the investigation, no MSU fan would ever give them another nickel. That reads like a soap opera, but is that the prevailing line of thought?

Gene and Rosebowl basically have no "ins" with our current staff. They're flying blind. So, they saw a business opportunity with DeVinner. They said "hey, we'll protect you. Keep your good name, and throw everyone else under the bus" in exchange for information they desperately need in the future.

The Mirando incident was over until Gene & Rosebowl turned the thing into a website war. Their mud slinging extended the investigation. Their interest in website traffic at the expense of MSU makes them formidable candidates for the award.
