Geoff Collins, Manny Diaz and Ellis Johnson potential candidates for FSU DC

^^^THIS^^^ And it further proves my instincts were correct that Collins should've been named DC 2 seasons ago instead of Wilson.
There's too much up in the air right now.
1. Allegedly Mack Brown is "retiring" at the end of the season.
- If that happens, Diaz is basically a free man
2. Allegedly Jimbo is one of Auburn's top 2-3 targets, and some Auburn people have told me he's #1
- If that happens, they don't just need a DC, they need an HC as well
3. Ellis Johnson is in year 1 of his new head coaching gig. whoops, never mind.

Why is Collins up for the job but not Wilson???
I don't understand. I feel like Collins has a lesser role as a defensive coordinator than Wilson.

Collins was a successful DC in that state and they know what he can do, which is why I don't know why he isn't the DC here

If Collin's is back at State next year, there's no reason he should not be wearing the head-set as CO-DEFENSIVE Coordinator. Wilson can keep what little pride he has left as CO-DEFENSIVE Coordinator and find suitable employment after the season.
I don't know why Collins isn't DC either. Also I'll believe the Jimbo to Auburn rumor when it happens... Don't know why he'd want that job. No way Aub can offer enough for him to seriously consider. Other than being an asst there does he have any ties?

I have heard that Jimbo is not happy at FSU, and a lot of folks at FSU are not happy with him. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go elsewhere, maybe Tennessee or Auburn.
Just don't think he'd wait it out in Tally (w/easier recruiting and better ath dept situation) to bolt for Aub unless they offered serious money and he was feeling forced out at FSU. I know FSU fans are going to be expecting more and getting more uneasy after this season. But, he's improved the talent and their record each year.
