I've linked below all of instances that I could recall where the targeting suspensions have been lifted. Feel free to add examples that you recall.
Did I miss something? Gerry is suspended now?
The penalty happened in the 2nd quarter.
Isn't the rule that they are ejected for the rest of the game in that instance and if it happened in the 2nd half that the player is suspended for the first half of the next game?
Not sure what you're praying about, the play happened with 2:36 left in the first half. He will not be suspended the next game.

With that said, I'm sure you've watched the replay video more than a few times, on that video there is a game clock. That clock should have been able to put your mind at ease.
Remember when Caveman got suspended for the OSU hit before targeting was a penalty.
