This will be another chance for Glenn to get revenge. Glenn missed some good opportunities to win the 1st match up when 2 teams played. MY 48 TV Station should Broadcast this game. This is the game everyone in Kernersville wants to see. Be there or be square. Any thoughts?

Coin toss for me. I’m giving it a toss up. Just out of curiosity. How big of a crowd will the stadium hold. I would imagine a packed house with this game.

Glenn doesn’t support their sports programs well at all. Last two years they’ve had strong teams and playing in front of really small crowds. It will be a good crowd but guessing East will have two times the fans there.

I didn't see the game. I'll have to go back and watch the recording on NFHS. East's defense looks legit, having not allowed a point scored in the playoffs. I was surprised they only scored 17 against Ardrey Kell. Though their defense has only allowed 14.5 ppg, East's offense averages 46 ppg. I would've thought they would have scored more, as Ardrey Kell, though they are a good team, aren't exactly the best team in the Charlotte area. This should be a great game though. Looks like Glenn plays to the level of their competition. They definitely got a dose of urgency against Myers Park. The winner of this game will, more than likely, travel to Cornelius to meet Hough. But Hough isn't guaranteed either, as they and Mallard Creek are in the same conference.

Maybe in the past but I know for a fact 2 years ago our 2nd state championship run that Friday night game that got postponed to Saturday afternoon at Glenn because Glenn didn't pay the light bill 😉 was standing room only.

Many people in this area talk about the game that didn't happen during the covid year with so many major college players on the field (M Crowell, Ty Lyles, J Lindsey, Ritzie-Pouncey, Rah-Rah etc) and wondered what that crowd would've looked like. I think we're about to get a good idea Friday night.

The schools aren't even 10 miles from each other. Rivals. Both fought to the end for conference title. What's different is they're both programs who are respected outside the county now reflected by the rankings. Couple that with what's on the line Friday night I venture to say if you aren't there by 530 you may not be sitting down.

Glenn doesn't exactly have the largest stadium. It should be epic.

So are you saying our O should've scored more points because they're more prolific than they showed or is it that AK isn't the "best" team out of Charlotte which everyone figured pretty much already.

Any W against a Charlotte team on the road most of the time will be a respected and earned victory.

We may have left a few points on the field but the officials appeared to take a vested interest in keeping it close to from what I heard.

Up until recently our D has been bend but don't break and with the amount of athletes Glenn has I told people I wasn't in a hurry to see Glenn again.

With D playing as they are currently I like our chances against anyone we play especially if our O comes back to life Friday night. They're playing totally different than they had been.

Not concerned with the offensive play last night, considering we had jet sweep (Que #7) TD called back on phantom holding call 5 seconds after celebration and we had the Ball first and goal from 5 with 2 min to go but decided to kneel and run clock out. So maybe 24 to 0 would’ve made those questioning our offensive output feel a little better…

This game boils down to which DC can get the most out of their teams. I personally think Glenn is built on Speed and over powering you at the point of attack. Watching their Defense it looks like the tell their guys to just get after them. I told yall earlier I would never bet against a Coach Beal coached defense but I personally think Glenn has more weapons on defense. This one is tough

When I commented, I wasn't questioning anything. For whatever reason, I thought they would've scored more. But I guess from over the years when EF took flack from posters when they were playing Butler and Mallard Creek in their primes in the playoffs, some of their posters have gotten a little defensive. Frankly, I couldn't care less if they score 100 or 1. It was just an observation that I asked about. Like I said, I didn't see the stream on NFHS. I'll have to go back and watch it.

Wasn't being sarcastic. Don't read more into what's there or do I have to be one of your "folks" for you to answer.

I notice you respond to certain people and others it's an act of God for you to respond. I was asking legitimately my guy.

It's an open public forum for discussion. We all understand people will like and not like what's posted and is also open for interpretation. Bruh pipe down guy either you answer or you don't. No need to whine. Somebody else understood that and answered for me. Most of the time I enjoy what you say but when I see something I want to question I do it. God knows I didn't care for many responses to what I've posted on here but I understand I'm open for criticism when I post. Smh relax.

You're correct. So when you post AK isn't one of the better teams in Chatlotte (paraphrase) that's exactly what comes to mind.

We realize AK isn't the cream of the crop in Meck Co. We realize all roads go through Chambers or Hough although we have tremendous respect for Chambers only for obvious reasons.

For awhile we couldn't get a LEGIT win in Meck Co. against anyone. Let us be great for a sec....😉

"Let us be great for a sec...". Really? You have a state championship under your belt and pushed a very good Mallard Creek team to the brink a few years ago, in the Western finals. People, including myself, know how good your program is. I read where someone who follows EF said their offense had been struggling all season. So, that explains the 17 points against AK. Like it's said, offense makes headlines, defense wins championships.

I don’t think I’ve posted on this board but maybe once or twice in the last five years. But I do recognize names still plugging away.

I have friend who’s son plays D for East Forsyth. Dad is of course worried about the revenge factor for Glenn but I’ll go with that stout East defense for the win

Revenge factor? Revenge isn't going to take you anywhere in the 3rd round of the playoffs! Its about what team can execute and make plays. All that talking crap doesn't mean anything once the game starts. Every team at this point in time will be ready to go.

Can East score on the Glenn defense? Glenn's Defense has shut down the East offense in the Spring twice and 2.5 quarters this fall. If Glenn doesn't turn the ball over they probably smoke East. With that said you can make a strong argument for Glenn blowing out East easier than you can make an argument saying East blows out Glenn.
.
I will say if the East Forsyth Eagles have another 1st half like they did 5 or 6 weeks ago when they played Glenn will destroy them.

Not a prediction but that would be something like

Glenn 38
East 17

Not sure what the spring season has anything to do with now. East was playing basically the JV team in the spring with all the guys they lost to college. Glenn’s offense has struggled at times this season as well, like against East and in the first round of the playoffs most recently. Either team could win but I don’t see either team blowing the other out.

Yea the spring doesn’t really have anything to do with this year lol. But I kind of agree on the second point he was making. Glenn dominated East Forsyths offense in the first quarter and a half, but EF woke the hell up after that and if I’m remembering right they led before going into overtime.

In my opinion it all comes down to play calling and execution for EF because I truly believe their offense is much better than what you seen in the first two quarters during their first game. But when they’re sleep it just feels like the coaching staff and the players just don’t give a damn. We’ll see which team we get on Friday.

A lot of great games around the state this Friday.

Pre-Ticket sales are selling great for both schools from what I'm hearing. I wonder if this game is on MY48? If not, lost opportunity.

Maybe NFHS can get an intern to man the damn camera. That auto camera is horrible. Is it really that much trouble to let a media student run the camera?

1 Thing is for certain. If there is a big time playoff game in the 336 It's usually a team coached by Todd Willert going against another team. About 7 years ago people were saying he couldn't get over the hump as a HC. Now he's up there with some of the greatest coaches to ever come through the 336. If he can somehow find a way to make it to another State Championship he will go down as one of the greatest coaches of all time.

Coach Willert has done a super job for a guy from Wisconsin. I mean he has a firm grip for the last decade of great players from East Winston. Young stars from Carver, Atkins, Parkland, Walkertown and Kernersville know they should go to East Forsyth by the 10th/11th grade if they want a championship or scholarship. This isn't going to change anytime soon because this school is in the epicenter of all these other schools...location, location, location.
Now, Glenn has had a great 3 to 4 years straight but to sustain winning like Willert will be difficult; I give Coach Stevenson a ton of credit for a masterful job in his tenure.
Tonight is a toss up! I can't pick one over the other...
