I can't do anything I described or what he did in the video. I was merely posing the question. I remember when Jordan Westercamp came here, the exact video was posted on here. Jordan ain't playing on the basketball team. Lets hope this kid does real well here.@resdog851 can you do anything he did there? Let's take a deep breath before we take shots at player that dawn the NU. Now if it's some hawkeye or nitty lion, fair game. GBR
Watson will be the best player on the team. Maybe not the flashiest but overall the best. Sadly there are not great parts around him and looking over the schedule there might not be more than 4 conference home wins.
Believe what you want, but this years team is the most talented "on paper" even without Andrew White
"On Paper" The team has more talent then Creighton... I've already made a post about it.
The talent is there so not quite sure where the comment of "Sadly there are not great parts around him" came from. That is a ill-informed comment that is based upon an assumption, and is extremely opinionated.
Roby = 4*
Gill = 4*
Watson = 4*
Morrow = 4*
Tshimanga = 4*

I'm just saying it is not out of the question, and people are really under appreciating what Roby will bring to the table.That is a lot of really young players (not ranked that high) that you are expecting to come in and compete in the Big Ten. top 50 players have a hard time doing that. JT was ranked the same as Hammonds. Morrow is stud but his game is fast paced and running the floor which Miles doesn't do. Roby is another 150 guy...those guys tend to not come in and dominate.
It is not ill-informed. NU just lost its best two players and they surely did not replace them with equal parts.
Are you really thinking that next season NU is looking at 22 wins and a top 5 finish in conference?
So no excuse for Miles if he losses his 5th straight game to them this year...right?
Watson has the goods....he should put up good numbers this year with White gone.
I just laugh when I hear about how talented Creighton is and how they are going to make a run this year. Yet Nebraska is a bottom feeder, and has no chance to do anythingI guess I was not trying to make this a NU vs CU thing...I hate CU.

Then you pull up the paperwork and you see, Creighton is not any better. It gets tiring to hear how good Creighton is, but outside of the head to head loss, Creighton usually does nothing to show they are head and shoulders better.
McDermott straight up OWNS Miles. I hate it, and it pisses me off every year Miles team gets scorched by them. Every year it is the same thing... Creighton catches fire early, and Nebraska looks like turtles with their heads in the sand.
Other than the Creighton Head to Head chokings Miles does every year, Miles seems to be fairly competitive in all BIG 10 games
I just know that there is too many unknowns to say what Nebraska is going to do this year, and make bold statements. Nebraska is not in the Dire Straits some seem to believe, and I just want people to look past Andrew White and see there is still light at the end of the tunnel
Well Creighton went 20-15 last year and return the top 2 scorers while adding Marcus Foster who received some All-Big 12 honors at Kansas State.
While Nebraska went 16-18 last year and lose the top 2 scorers while adding Anton Gill who didn't play much at Louisville and add some freshman with talent but still an uncertainty at the college level.
So looking at that on paper, I would say Creighton has the edge and why Nebraska looks to be another bottom feeder team this year instead of looking at just a recruiting website of individual rankings.
Marcus Foster? You know that he is gonna light the world on fire? How exactly is that a certainty?Well Creighton went 20-15 last year and return the top 2 scorers while adding Marcus Foster who received some All-Big 12 honors at Kansas State.

That article is hardly a sign of confidence on Gill. Said that he hadn't scored more than 2 points since February and came in only because of desperation, took an awkward shot that needed an "angel" to tip it in. I'm also hopeful about the guy, but if you're going to link an article to prove your point, that wouldn't be the one I'd pick.Marcus Foster? You know that he is gonna light the world on fire? How exactly is that a certainty?
Louisville > Kansas State
Can you argue that? Nope
You can't sit here and say Anton Gill can not be talked about, when you use Marcus Foster as a reason Creighton will be amazing.
What one kid does at one school does not always mean they will do the exact same at another. As the person mentioned above Terran Petteway is a perfect example.
Anton Gill is fully capable of doing some good things!

I think Gill could be decent but he is not a shooter he is a slasher...Do the Huskers have any shooters this year? If you can't spread the floor it gets messy as we have all seen.
Watson has the goods....he should put up good numbers this year with White gone.
Agree 100% with you on Watson. Love the offensive threat he brings from the PG position. Doesn't have to put up 20 pig. Just be enough of a threat to create and hit that FT jumper.
Yes, Watson shot .389 from the field. And no, that is not good, really. Shields, .470, White .480, Webster .474. McVeigh shot only .350 - not going to cut it, but at least most of his shots came from the 3 point line where he shot .340.Was so exciting to watch him create his mid range game last year and make them at a good percentage. I haven't looked, but I would guess he was shooting at close to 40%?
He also showed a good bit of range on his shot.
Can he hit an open man and also create his own shot and hit a 12 foot jumper?
Watson ha great potential, but I'm not sure if he'll be the best player on the team in any of his four seasons here. And that's a good thing. There are players on the team with a lot of upside - one that goes overlooked is Morrow. I believe you're going to see a pretty solid jump from year one to year two from his play. He has a great body to play around the hoop and has a "nose for the ball."
I agree with most of that but I pull not bother posting him up much or having him face up...he is a tip in and rebound machine...he has a motor that never stops...let him run and grab boards on offense and defense.Morrow could be a stud if they know how to use him. Stick him at the four spot and let him post up or face up from 15'. Give him the ball. Turn him loose and let him crash the boards. Play him with another post player and let him guard opposing fours. He's capable of averaging a double-double.
yes he did. AT THE END OF THE SEASON he was turning in to a take charge player. His season numbers aren't all that impressive but the kid played very well down the stretch. He will one of our two best players IMO this next season.Umm he did ALL that as a true freshman.
Yeah, he hasn't shown that yet but he's been playing against fives and having to guard five men on the low block which is still something that quite frankly he's never been taught how to do properly. Apparently that didn't come up in HS and AAU ball and Miles hasn't hired a post coach (we've seen those results).I agree with most of that but I pull not bother posting him up much or having him face up...he is a tip in and rebound machine...he has a motor that never stops...let him run and grab boards on offense and defense.
He was a four star because of his crazy motor and ability to run the floor as a big man.Yeah, he hasn't shown that yet but he's been playing against fives and having to guard five men on the low block which is still something that quite frankly he's never been taught how to do properly. But he's so strong and has a quick first step, long arms and gets off the floor very quickly. Give him the ball on the pinch post or short corner, let him face. He's too quick and too strong. Not saying he's Charles Barkley, but for a team desperate for difference makers and a team that has had enough Doc Sadler/Tim Miles small lineups, it's time to try something else. This kid didn't become a four star by tip ins and rebounds alone.

How much?Yes they lost their top two scorers, but you can't tell me you know Anton Gill is going to be good or bad. I would be willing to bet we have 4+ Average double figures
His 3 pointers brought him down, he shot around 43% from inside the arch. Using Shields / White / Webster is a bit misleading as they are bigger guys who will have more opportunity from close range.Yes, Watson shot .389 from the field. And no, that is not good, really. Shooting sub .400 is not good unless you are a pure 3 point shooter.
I hope the coaches work on his game, because as many have stated, he has some good upside with good quicks and hops. But when I hear people talk about his shooting, it makes me wonder how much they know about basketball.

anton gill scored 110 pts across 54 games (that's 2 pts per game) in 2 years at louisville. marcus foster scored 875 pts across 62 games (that's 14 pts per game) in 2 years at kstate. there is a vast difference btwn the two. gill may turn out to be amazing, who knows, but to act like the two should be treated equally is silly.
Marcus Foster also played on a shittier team? Hence the more minutes... Hence the more points
2013-14 Kansas State
Games Played: 33
Minutes 29.4
FG: 5.4
FGA: 12.7
Average: .423
PTS: 15.5
2014-15 Kansas State
Games Played: 29
Minutes 27.8
FG: 4.0
FGA: 10.3
Average: .388
PTS: 12.5
Not only did he get worse his second year, he shot 38.8%
So yes you are right he played more at Kansas State, and he has proven that he is getting worse and not better. Where in that do you see him being a game changer?
Marcus Foster plays at Louisville he rides the pine and see's zero minutes. I hope that is not to hard to process for you guys, because obviously he is a way more proven commodity than Gill
Gill could of played 28 minutes a game and take 10 shots every game and make 3-4 too.
In no way shape or form am I going to sit here and say Gill is going to be great, but I am also here to tell you Marcus Foster hasn't done anything for Creighton yet, and he has done nothing for me to say he will be better than Gill
