Wildcat fan here. Congrats on a clean and well-fought game. You saw a pretty good synopsis of the Wildcats today: consistent effort, few penalties/bonehead plays, and nothing flashy. This has been the recipe for the Cats' 10-win season. Consistency will get you pretty good results in college ball, and the Cats have been remarkable for their ability to avoid long stretches of bad play in 2012.

The interceptions were uncharacteristic of both teams. I think a lot has to do with the long layoff, which is a problem for bowl teams. I would prefer to see the regular season start a bit later so teams can play into early December.

It was very obvious we did not see the best Bulldog team today. Penalties, interceptions, and some poor tackling will drive a fan crazy. Been down that road with my Cats in many years prior.

It is great for the Cats to get a bowl win and end all this talk of the bowl losing streak. Nice to beat a classy program like the one at MSU, even if today's game was not their best effort.

Good luck next season and beyond. I will be following the Bulldogs next year. Best wishes for a happy new year and prosperity in 2013.

What you saw from us also sums up our season. A team with no heart.

Thanks and congrats on the Victory.

NW is a faster, more aggressive and better coached team. If we played this game 10 times NW would win at least 8 from what I saw today. State has regressed into what you saw today and will more than likely be in terrible shape for the next few years until we can get a young fiery coach and winning strategy in play.

I was very surprised to see the lack of NW fans at the game. Why do you think that was? Your student body is larger, the plane tickets from Chicago are cheaper and this was a very important game for your team. Your coach mentioned that he has great fan support, so why was the stadium so empty? I would bet that State had more fans at the game than NW did and for the way we ended the season, that is really saying something.

Anyways, great game and good luck moving forward.

You were down 13-0 and came back to tie it. You answered a 14-point deficit with a long td drive. The effort was solid. The execution was passable. But the mistakes killed your chances.

Dude, your guys beat a nutsackless, pitiful team ...

that achieved bowl eligibility on the strength of a gloried MAC OOC schedule. Beating this particular SEC team would be the equivalent of beating, say, some ****** big ten never was like Northwestern. Just sayin

well we really didn't play a good game at all...regardless... congrats to the Northwestern Wildcats. They are, of course, another Vanderbilt as far as we are concerned.

Our silver panties didn't work for us today. Should have worn the maroon ones, or maybe the black ones.

From the few glimpses I saw on TV, it looked like the NU turnout was around 10k. If so, it's actually a decent showing. Our average attendance during the season was about 35k.

Our undergraduate enrollment is less than 10K. We actually have a smaller alumni population than all of the other B1G schools, even in Chicago, where NU grads are outnumbered by grads from IL, UMich, Wisconsin, Iowa, and some school in South Bend.

I don't blame MSU fans for being disappointed. The bulldogs played a stinker today. But hopefully they turn it around and beat Ole Miss and others next year.

Nice win and congrats on getting a 64 year long monkey off your backs. Russell played by far the worst game of his career today. Any other performance by him and your streak would still be alive. Your players intelligence won this game. MSU was faked out on very simple plays and after watching our D get burned by Manziel, Moncrief and your QB's runs this season I now think this teams biggest weakness is intelligence. We are one 17ing stupid team. Oh well it's still nice to play a bowl game on New Years and this game was close enough to be entertaining atleast. Good luck in the B1G14 and I hope you beat OSU every year.
