Hickory Hawks is the homeschool team but he attends Hickory High the article says. Too bad he isn't helping Hickory High.

Totally exemplifies the illogical rationale of helping kids. There are 3 or 4 kids on the Hawks team that should be playing at HHS. A kid that graduated from HHS played another two years for the Hawks. They have their own rules and it fits the climate of the beautiful people. I'm glad some kids get the opportunity to play,but don't like the fact that they make it easy for others to take the path of least resistance.

Wow. Did not know that. Kind of sums up how they are somewhat competitive.

No joking... the Hawks team I watched 2 yrs ago was better than most of Burke and Catawba teams. Last year, not near as good and this year not that good. The team from 2 yrs ago was better than Draughn, E Burke, and Patton. Would struggle with all of them this year.

Yes, in order to be recognized by NCHSAA they had to change what they
were doing.... only fair.
