South Iredell (2-4, 1-1) at Mooresville (2-4, 1-1)
This is a crucial game for both to stay in the race for 2nd. Also happens to be our homecoming. South Iredell comes in off of an ugly 21-17 win over West Cab. Blue Devils come in off a tough 33-13 loss to Providence. Blue Devils are also banged up coming in, QB out for the season, starting RB injured early on Monday (Status uncertain), MLB injured Monday (Status uncertain). Neither the RB or MLB re entered the game Monday so they could miss this week. Fully expect this one to be an ugly sloppy low scoring game. I kind of lean towards South here if Mooresville gets none of those players back. I’m predicting Mooresville will have at least their RB.
Mooresville 20 South Iredell 17

West Cabarrus (2-4, 1-2) at AL Brown (3-3, 0-3)
WC comes in off of a tough loss on Tuesday to South. AL Brown comes in following a loss to Cox Mill. The wonders weren’t at full strength vs Cox Mill. If AL Brown comes in full strength vs West Cabarrus I expect them to win. West got pretty banged up Friday night vs Lake Norman.

Hickory Ridge (5-2, 3-0) at Lake Norman (5-1, 2-0)
It’s the game of the year in the GM4. The high powered Bulls travel to Lake Norman to face the ground and pound Wildcats. Two very contrasting styles here. This is where HR playing Catholic helps them, having some experience facing the triple this season. Key to LKN will be to keep their offense on the field to grind out the clock. If the Wildcats can do that, they stand a chance. Expect a HUGE crowd Friday night for this one.

Good info Devil06. As much as I like to think South wins this week, I’m just uncertain. Mooresville will have the home field plus Homecoming. They will be fired up. South would definitely have to bring their A game in this one, let say Mooresville does have their players out I would still give them the win. 24-14. Assuming that the RB and MLB comes back I see more of 35-13 type game.
With AL Brown n West Cabarrus game. Tough call. As of now going with AL Brown by 7.
Hickory Ridge at Lake Norman. We know what Hickory Ridge has. I think if Lake Norman can bring in their A game they may keep it respectable. But don’t see them winning, Hickory Ridge 38 Lake Norman 14.

I see that 3-1 Lake Norman and 4-2 Hickory Ridge JVs are undefeated in conference. This will be a key game as the winner will stay in 1st place. Interesting to see how this turns out.

The Lake Norman Hickory Ridge game has been moved to tonight(Thursday) 7:00 pm at Lake Norman.

I was wandering about that. I noticed I didn’t see the JV game on Max Prep. I didn’t know if they moved the JV game to another day or whether Max Prep just didn’t have it listed for some reason

HT Mooresville up 21-7. South had a chance to score at one point in Mooresville deep territory but turned it over. South needs to stop that play when Mooresville keeps throwing same spot in the middle.

Mooresville 42-7 with 2:00 mins in 3rd. Mooresville is definitely flexing their muscles and playing good solid ball

Mooresville wins 42-7. Hats off to Mooresville. They have a good program. I knew they were the better team and knew they would win.. South gave good effort.

Let me say this. Mooresville backup up QB was hitting on all 8 cylinders. He is definitely going to be a good one. With South hopefully they can someone how make adjustments about playing tighter to the Receivers to stop some of those passes. Anyway Kudos to the QB of Mooresville. He made the passes and was good at it.

Yep agree 100%. You have it at the half yard line with a minute to go and you run those two play. A Wide Receiver pass That goes in complete and I have no clue what they were trying to do on the last play it looked like a Half back option that the running could have walk in but tried to throw it. And why in the world do you start the drive with your backup QB and then after 3 plays put your starter in.

For the last couple of years I’ve tried to bite my tongue but tonight did it, there needs to be a coaching change. Their play calling is horrendous.

I feel sorry for the kids. They put their self imposition to win the game, and you call them two dumb Plays. SMH

They had To go for the touchdown on fourth down the field goal kicker was out tonight.

Looks like it’s going to come down between Mooresville n Lake Norman for 2nd spot. That game will be last game of regular season. Talking about huge game.
