Rest easy @firegiver as Trump takes care of your concerns.

He thinks we're all as dumb as you are

"Today’s average price of gas in the U.S. is $3.18 per gallon, down $0.01 from yesterday, up $0.02 from last week and down $0.06 from last month."

I will also note that at Costco yesterday, they were completely out of eggs and all egg products, including egg whites. ZERO on the shelf.

US job growth hasn’t been this slow since Covid. Trump’s policies could chill it further

And LOL at billions of dollars from tariffs(i.e. TAXES ON AMERICANS) pour in.

Go to Publix. They have plenty.

Fake outcry.
I was responding to his post that said "no one" was talking about eggs. I quoted my response from two hours ago to prove him wrong. And it was "specifically" about eggs at Costco, not Publix.

Take a nap

The original OP remains unanswered. Prices have only gone up. Seems like Trump's biggest issue groceries, is a flop.
Can you prove grocery prices have gone up, other than what the talking points are out there? The Consumer Price Index is what most people use, but I personally have a much better method. I am attempting to retire in a couple of years and one of the things that EVERYONE must do before retiring is to capture your actual spend for each month/year.

I have leveraged the Rocket Money app since 2023 to do this. In this app you can categorize spending and I have a category for groceries. Every single dollar I spend on groceries is captured and documented on a monthly basis. Just yesterday, I went back to Jan-Apr of 2024 to see what my monthly and aggregate spend was on groceries. There was a change for sure versus this year and it was lower costs. I am spending $300+ less per month this year with a total decrease of over $1200 for the Jan-Apr 2025 vs 2024. That is a difference that contradicts what you say about prices only going up.

I will caveat this to say that I am not sure if this is indicative of all grocery prices going down, but mine have decreased. I can listen to the media all day but this is uncontroversial fact on my end that MY grocery costs have gone down.

Don't get sucked in. Go back and read the thread. It's his standard response. He is joking.

We all know you can go to www.truflation.com which tracks over 10,000 products nationwide.

Trump has the inflation index down from 2.85% to 1.35% since January 20th.

Dear beloved folks who thought through everything and decided to support Donald Trump for president.
How, will our grocery prices be lowered? Since the inflation of our goods was such a very important issue and one that was apparently the top of the list, along with immigration, how will this administration lower food costs?

Also, how will that occur if we also deport the people that make up 50% of the farm industry work force, undocumented workers?
Thanks in advance.

Looks like you got your answer. Trump achieves the “impossible” again!

Lower inflation, zero illegal immigration, and lower grocery prices.

This should make you happy, right @firegiver?

Retail egg prices fell over 12% April to May., the steepest month over month drop since 1984 and the first month over month decline since Octobr 2024. Still higher than this time last year, but down overall since Jan 20th and projected ot drop further.

Wait until I tell you about the windmills.

I don't live where there is that much wind and besides I do my best to drive gas guzzing vehicles, keep my ac set to 68degrees in the summer and heat to 78 degrees in the winter. I keep my house and yard lit like a christmas tree all year round. I'm not scared of windmills. They can't hurt me.

The party of lies and deceit.

What would you call what YOU DO?

The assumption is that stores would start cancelling orders from China due to the tariffs, which we know is happening with smaller retailers - I'm sure the big boxes are different so ask your bot where she looked.

Fourth Of July Items

Fourth of July is one of the nearest major holidays, and it’s when you might first notice a major shortage, be it your desired grill or fireworks. That’s because seasonal items like American flags and fireworks are largely made in China, said Chris Tang, a University of California, Los Angeles professor who studies global supply chain management.

Promises kept.

Context of the 62% Claim
  • The claim of a 62% decline likely refers to wholesale egg prices, as seen in USDA reports and echoed in X posts from May 2025 (e.g., by users like @CharlieK_news). These posts often attribute the drop to Trump’s policies, though the decline is primarily due to market factors like supply recovery.
  • Retail vs. Wholesale Confusion: Trump and his administration have highlighted wholesale price drops, sometimes implying consumers see similar relief. However, retail prices lag wholesale changes by 3–5 weeks due to grocers’ pricing strategies and inventory cycles. Consumers have not seen a 62% reduction.
  • Exaggeration: Some claims, including Trump’s own statements, have overstated declines (e.g., citing 87% or 94% drops), which fact-checks have debunked. The 62% figure is accurate for wholesale but not retail prices.
  • May 2025: Data is less comprehensive, but retail prices likely continued to ease slightly due to lower wholesale costs. However, no credible source indicates a 62% drop in retail prices. Retail prices remain higher than January levels due to a lag between wholesale and retail pricing.

Yes.

During covid, you could buy a 12 pack of coca cola for about $8.

Today, you can go buy a 12 pack of coca cola for $8 and when you do, they will give you 12 more for free. So you get 24 colas for $8.

That is called lowering the price. And if you go to the grocery store you will see sales now. BOGO's and such just started back up about 6 months ago. Have you not been paying attention when you shop?

I think inflation is still stubbornly high and does NOT WANT TO HAVE LOWER PRICES

The typical fast food services are loving inflation

Just had a three piece meal at KFC for $19

Then had a steak bowl at Moes for $20

Before Covid and the Biden inflation burst the costs would be like $8 at KFC and $$8 at Moes

The higher prices are real benefits to fast good as you can serve less people in less time and make more profit or hold total gross sales say for example if sales were $2,000,000 before Covid you can drop unit volume sales by 50% and at the doubling or more of prices still make more per store

I for one think there is gojng to be a huge shakeout and closure of many restaurants and chains as people are not going to continue to pay these elevated prices when their salaries have not doubled

So look for some pain and adjustments

Same with grocery prices

Prices are going to deflate soon

Wait... You are blaming companies for the high prices? Wonder why they are having to raise prices?
