We have a challenge this week against an undefeated Bunker Hill….at their place.
They’re not far down the Cal Preps rankings as well!

Congratulations @Maiden Creek glad to see your Blue Devils getting some much deserved recognition. I had posted a couple weeks back that CalPreps projections matchups had your Blue Devils beating our Eagles on a neutral field.

Reidsville hasn’t won a unified state championship since 1971 or 68 I believe,don’t believe it? Look it up for yourself, they have benefited the most from the split classes more than any other team in the state,up until then they did nothing,so if they win it this year they can actually say they are state championships

so I guess no one has been a state champion recently.

Reidsville won the 2aa state championship in 2002, but also beat the 2a state champion Cummings. Guess they weren’t a real champion that year. Could give another example as well.

No order, but my top 5 are Burns, Monroe, Reidsville, Shelby, and Salisbury. Sorry, Maiden Creek. You guys went overtime with Christ somebody, and any school with “Christ” in its name has never been good, and low and behold, that school hasn’t won but one game. Christ the King, a different school, was worst than Highland Tech.

I still do have those expectations. They are always very athletic and look the part. They are definitely a contender, in my opinion. As SHS LION mentioned, tiough, Salisbury is really impressive. They have blown out all off their opposition.

Dagoob often mocks Salisbury. Northeastern actually played Salisbury in the 2010 state ,hampionship, and were blown off the field,
30-0. Posters saw the Hornets get manhandled by Shelby in 2019, and are often dismissive of them, and don’t take them seriously, but that’s a darn good football program.

I put a 'maybe' by Monroe and Reidsville because of the bug. Without the bug they're both major contenders, as is Shelby. But considering the direct affect the pandemic has had on both teams, I don't know how close to 100% they will be.

They weren’t good in 2019, if I’m correct they got pushed in the playoffs by our conference opponent Hertford County. That was not a good Salisbury team that I saw that day while watching it with one of the posters up here from Reidsville.
