It'll be interesting to see where he makes his next start. NYRA announced Saturday during the TVG broadcast they'll up the purse to a million six if he runs up there. Del Mar has something in the works, and Philly Park got Chrome in last year with a huge bonus, and will do more this year to get Pharoah there.

The date of the race doesn't "fit", but I'd like to see him at Saratoga. No horse has won the Derby and the Travers since Whirlaway. This colt deserves to be in that conversation..imo.

With all the Facebook post, and his wife saying stuff like "IM SO PROUD OF HIM", I thought BBDK had won the dam Masters..... .nope, just closest to the pin.[eyeroll]. Weak
Probably ricochet off the trees and a cart path to get that close as well.

Monday Post-Weekenders:

- The great thing about guys who have been around as long as Tim McGraw is that they don't F around at all at their concerts- HIT after HIT after HIT after HIT. No obscure songs off the new album. Just straight heat. Really good show and a beautiful evening on the Riverbend. Few things I like more in summer than that moment after the sun sets at Riverbend.

- The lass and her friend were actually more pumped about Billy Currington, which perplexed me. Currington is okay, I guess, but liking him more than Tim freaking McGraw?

- Have always considered this and in the last few years have come around to truly believing it...I think concerts are better taken in sober- or at least not completely drunk. Reason being, I went to so many good shows in my 20s where I couldn't even tell you the set list the next day. It was fun but a blur. The last few concerts I've hit where I've either been completely sober or buzzed have been much better.

- You can tell Ulis is a natural born leader. Seems the kid goes out of his way to connect with all the newcomers. I love that.

- I don't see a downside to taking a 7-footer who was ranked as high as #35 in a LOADED '16 class and played really well in big international games, especially considering:

a) We lack depth inside this year, including the lack of a classic banger.
b) 2016 is not a good bigs class.
c) Calipari has done a helluva job with bigs here- from the OADs who improved all year to WCS to Harrellson.

- LOVING this news that UK is coming on strong for DeAaron Fox. Kid may be my favorite player in the class. Perfect for Cal's system. There's a Texas guy who posts on Rafters who has been saying for months Fox really wanted UK to get involved.

- I've been patient with True Detective, but it looks to be a dud.

- And "Ballers" just gets worse and worse. I'm watching it BECAUSE of how bad it is. Just a horrible show- bad writing, bad acting, nonsensical plot lines.

- Because the lass doesn't much like it and she's the one with Netflix, I'm moving at a snail's pace with House of Cards, but I love that show. Vintage Spacey.

- MMA pretty much disgusts me, and MMA Guy and the fanbase overall has as much to do with it as the actual product.

- Aside from the classics (Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers), Toronto may have the best jerseys in baseball. Clean, classic, unique.

- Anth is right about August in one way- there are always quite a few "early Fall" days which are just beautiful. Problem is they're mixed in with some of the hottest, muggiest, most brutal days of the year. Friday/Saturday were wonderful. Yesterday was a bit much.

^You weren't on the text chain either. At least not the 3 I was on. Proud of him though. 1k is 1k.

-New Street Craves place, where Hugh Jass was, is pretty good. Cool they turned those parking spots into a patio. I just wonder if it'll ever make it. Nothing makes it there.

-Weather this past weekend :sunglasses:. Whew. Other than Thursday it looks even better for the next 7. August making moves.

-Whatever that show is after N&A about some treasure on Snake Island. #1 I don't care what the treasure is I'm not going to a place called Snake Island, #2 not going anywhere that requires snake bite proof gaiters.

-I love these idiots that claim a woman MMA fighter could beat up men, most notably Floyd F*cking Mayweather. Give me a damn break.

-Love the addition of Humphries. This should basically be a semi red shirt year for him. Get a little PT, develop, add emergency depth. Can't get enough top 40 guys, especially guys that will be a round a few years. Even if he's not eligible to play still worth the risk because he's not scaring anyone off.

-Also, Periscope. That's going to be interesting to watch. Streamed the PPV event in bed on my phone. According to the comments they were shutting those streams down but I watched the stream uninterrupted for an hour or so.

Big deal for Wodie on his home course. He's had some ups and downs there over the years, and his game is back on point...at least as close as it's been in a long time.

WE ARE PROUD OF YOU ADRIAN!!!

Granted I haven't watched more than a couple snippets of the kid... but I'm less than excited about this chalky bloke.

I reserve the right to change my mind obviously, but from what I've seen he'll never be anything more than a backup big, IMO. I mean, I get that there isn't much downside to this, and there's somewhat of a need for a big body. He clearly isn't going to scare anybody off so it's whatever... I'm not mad about it --- just not excited.

- Now this Fox kid looks sensational. Brandon Jennings 2.0. He can do it all. Tell Kobi to GTFO and go all in on Fox & Dennis Smith.

Fun weekend on the lake with good friends. Always come back feeling relaxed and recharged. Great thing is it doesn't matter how hot or muggy it is outside, it feels great in the water.

Guess its important to realize your zen points in life. For me its the boat, for Anth maybe a nice cycle ride, Adrian the golf course, Chad being sober at a concert...Remember why.

Garden is really starting to produce. Kind of amazing how fast zucchini grow. Came home last night and had two Shane Diesel sized green monsters.

Not gonna lie, getting psyched for football.

If he can be Josh Harrelson or even Eloy Vargas, this team desperately needed someone like that who can pitch in 5-10 minutes per game without tripping over his own two feet. And if he fills out and becomes more than that, then that's just a bonus.

Meh, we've all said Cal needs to grab more of these type players. Top 50 guys that are going to stick around a few years. We have rides and we're always going to have a boat load of studs to fill out the rotation.

The downside is the possibility of playing plow horse basketball with "twin towers" instead of turning all those guards loose. I was really looking forward to how this team will play and now I am a little worried we will try to fit this guy into things for the novelty of absurd size.*

*Trust in Cal, blah blah blah, results, Final Fours, yada yada.

Just really enjoy that style of play and was hoping we could get away from dump it into the post and bang or let a Harrison drive the lane and flail his way to the FT line. I'm sure we'll win a helluva lot either way, but three guards driving/passing/shooting and causing havoc on defense would sure as hell be more fun to watch.

I don't think he plays more than 5 minutes per game this year unless we have foul trouble. Certainly not enough to dictate style.

I'm not excited about the kid from Australia but im pretty happy. I think he's probably better than most think, i think he fills a small need next year, coupled with being insurance and i think he sticks around two to 3 years. Doubt he plays enough to have to worry about what you posted Coolcat.

~Wife went shopping with her mom on Saturday. For nearly 14 hours. This resulted in the purchase of a plant shelf for the front porch and 2 new throw pillows for the bed. We now have 7 throw pillows. Her mom bought her birthday present while they were shopping, something for our dining room my wife picked out, but it goes in a box to be opened on her birthday.

~Week is off to a solid start. Had a 10am appointment this morning. No show. No call. No notice. Basically means I am in limbo for about 30 minutes. Can't start on something just before the scheduled appointment. Can't start on something until after about a 15 minute window to allow for lateness. Irritating.

~I'm on the fence on the whole summer/fall thing this year. The fact is we really haven't had a great summer here in central Kentucky. Most years I am ready for fall by now because we have endured 6-8 weeks of upper 80's to mid 90's heat and humidity. Not so much summer of 2015. Think our hottest day has been 91.

~I don't get how everyone can pick up the UK football schedule and confidently pick 6 wins. I think it could land anywhere from 5 to 7, but 5 and 6 are about equally as likely. A 7 win season would involve some injury and scheduling luck that you really can't count on. Anybody proclaiming anything above 7 wins is probably someone you should be betting games with and inviting to your poker game.

~With all of the 80's wrestlers keeling over from years of drug abuse and putting their bodies through hell, it's only a matter of time before Vince McMahon's heart explodes. He was right there with them all of those years. Probably doing every drug imaginable and he's certainly still juicing. I'll set the O/U on his death at June 30, 2017.

The Aussie is a body to throw out there if Skal gets in foul trouble. We need depth on our front line. Rebound, play solid D and get some put backs. It's not like it's some desperation move and we're counting on him to be a major piece this year.

Plus, it's not like the kid will scare any of the top bigs in the 16 class away. We're going to lose Skal, Poythress and maybe even Lee after this year so it will be nice to have a top 40 player stick around for a few years and develop into a nice player.

See it as nothing but a bonus.

There isn't a situation where I want to see a woman actually be knocked out... no matter if it's by another woman in a "sport" or not.

11th grade hair pulling in the hallway by some girls where no one has a chance of being hurt... whatever and sometimes hilarious.

MMA as a whole is terrible but women actually fighting as a "sport" is gross.

UK Football prediction for eternity = somewhere between 5 and 7 wins. 4 isn't out of the question. 8 is probably reaching. 9+ is a once in a generation season. If we really suck, 2 or 3 wins is a possibility.

This season...

5 wins = 25%
6 wins = 25%
7 wins = 15%
4 wins = 15%
8 wins = 10%
9+ wins = 5%
3- wins = 5%

- Sushi Blue Saturday night. Place was overwhelmed from the people checking it out after its glowing review in the LHL. Waited a bit for our sushi order, but the rolls were worth it. We split the beef dinner, and it was also outstanding. Perfectly tender beef, and the best white rice I've ever had.

- Controversial take, but I rate Moe's ahead of Chipotle. Last visit to Chipotle was marginal at best. Moe's for lunch Sunday was better and less expensive. Those 100+ flavors Coke machines are cool, but put about 4 kids in front of one, and you can forget about a refill.

- Yeti tumbler, polo shirts, and one of these from the wife:

Can't wait to piss my neighbors off with it. #BRax

Coke Freestyle machines are the worst. And not just with kids, either. Takes most people three minutes to figure out what they want and how to operate the thing. It's like back when ATM machines started showing up everywhere, and inevitably you'd end up behind some hilljack trying to withdraw $37 with their Speedy Rewards card.

The Coke machine is just the beginning. If a national minimum wage hike goes through, McDonald's and other fast food chains will likely switch to a user interface to place orders and pay. You'll just touch the picture of the Big Mac and swipe your card.

Chase, how did those golf balls work out for you? Forgot the name.

Snell. I really like them actually. The logo sucks, but for $31.99, no tax and free shipping, I'm switching to them permanently. I can't tell much difference at all between them and the ProV1x. If anything, the Snell spins a bit more off wedges. Putting and driving are nearly identical.

Screw it. I say UK football breaks out this year. The recruiting has been too good. We all want to be cautious because they've sucked forever, but I'll go for it. 8-9 wins, and a cup of coffee in the top 20. I'll have a good seat on the bandwagon, even if it does go crashing off a cliff by week 7.
