Watched some 6 and 7 year old

) regional tournament baseball this weekend. The poor white trash factor was OFF THE CHARTS. Ejections. Fans jawing with other fans. Coaches jawing with opposing fans. Police called for people that refused to leave the property. And at the end of the 6 year old tourney, nothing like watching grown men stalking up and down the baseline, pumping their fists, screaming at the top of their lungs.
A kid came up with a chance to win it. "A base hit wins it Brody. MAKE YOUR DADDY PROUD!." Had I not feared a stabbing, I would have asked him if he would have still been proud if Brody struck out.
Also, random annoyance: The baseball parents (99.9999% of the time, it is the mothers) that don't know the lingo, even though their kids have played for years. Yesterday one posted on Facebook following a win in a tourney semi-final: "We won the semifinal championship!". Then, "(some kid) hit two over the fence homeruns!"
