If my time in the Middle East largely consisted of people trying to blow me up, I'd probably pass on making any other trips over there, too.

I get ukguys point. I didn't have a great experience over there, but I also never left the base. I flew in on a cargo plane with full body armor and a combat landing, not some ritzy spa plane (which looks turbo wodie). I never actually toured the country or region, but I did mingle with several locals we worked with. Was actually a very interesting experience learning about all the different ethnic/religious/clans in the region. I mean it is the cradle of civilization and incredibly historic...just also full of some really hot headed crazy sons of bitches.

And it's hot as all touching balls hell over there. Gyero would not approve, until maybe a crisp winter day.

Pretty much. I'm actually a poor by GYERO standards.

I am a member of #teamnokids, so that helps.

The Middle East is certainly the cradle of civilization. I would also note that this means people have been getting the f*** away from there since humanity could rub two sticks together.

The only way I would consider making a trip to the Middle East is if they produced some big, heavily-secured resort type deal that allowed me to go there without having to deal with, well, the Middle East. Call it "Infidelphia" or something.
That's how most of "us" do Mexico and the Caribbean.

One of my best friends married a Lebanese girl, and he asked me to be the best man. He is about the most ginger a ginger can be with flaming orange hair. They talked about getting married in a small village her family was from in Lebanon. Let's just say that kind of event would draw some attention from people who may night take kindly to that union.

Pretty much told him as much as I love them, that was the worst idea ever and I wasn't going. Fortunately they decided to tie the knot here, and everything's been great since.

Had to go to the bank today. Nice gal at the teller window was hyping me up about their CDs. Turns out they have a special right now. 0.55% for 10 months. Eek!!!! Hard to bite my tongue over this nonsense.

Fancy Farm is on my bucket list. All the ridiculous grandstanding of the RNC/DNC, but with a heavy dose of western kentucky redneck mixed in.

Btw, Mags. The Rick Pitino 15 seconds jokes have GOT to stop. Just awful.

Fancy Farm is definitely something every Kentuckian should do at least once. It was on my dad's bucket list, so I took him four years ago. As a non-partisan judge, he insisted that we get there early enough to put our seats directly in the center of the crowd, so as not to be seen on the D or R side. About 100 degrees, zero air flow, and you can't get up because you're packed in there like sardines once it starts. Still a great time.

Best speech(and supporters) belonged to Gatewood. Pretty sure that was his last Fancy Farm appearance.

Per my brother on deployment in Djibouti, it is hot and there are crazy mofos all around. I know...I was shocked to learn this too.

Of all the places my pilot buddies went, they all said Djibouti was their least favorite.

BlueKel, BBdK, other insurance pros, will insurance cover an OEM windshield replacement over an aftermarket if manufacturer "recommends" OEM?

What's S.O.P. here?

Manufacturers are always going to recommend OEM. Mainly, because they are in bed with the OEM companies. Just some back scratching going on.

Companies like Safelite, etc. that use aftermarket windshields (I'm pretty sure they make their own) are putting in a high quality product that shouldn't have any noticeable difference. Your insurance policy most likely gives the insurer the right to replace with aftermarket or "like, kind, and quality". In many cases, you can purchase an endorsement to the policy to ensure only OEM parts are used. Kind of a waste of money IMO, unless you are talking high end, high performance vehicles.

Yeah, you're free to disagree with that take, but I was taking Pops to something he'd always wanted to see. Won't apologize for that.

Rax, it's probably for the best that you're staying in Nicholasville, where according to the news reports over the weekend, half the residents have scabies, and the other half can't spell "scabies".

Big 10 Network does these hour-long docs on their national title teams. Watched one on Penn State '84 and Nebraska '95 this weekend. Would love if the SECN started doing something similar. I enjoy SEC Stories. Just need a new batch.

Just took a peak at both guys twitter. If they were listed on a police report neither took a break in posting or seemed to give a rat's *** based on what i see.
