Golf Music guy is the worst..but I've gotten used to it since 98% of people are that guy nowadays. Hackers & Scratch golfers alike.
Will never seem normal to me, but whatever.

3-4 hours is a long *** time. Need something to mix it up, keep the adrenaline flowing, etc. Lots of down time and filler needed during golf. Especially when walking. And I hate earbuds b/c I feel like I can't hear the rest of the world when they are in. Big "awareness" guy. So speaker music always for me. Except on planes. Then I don't want to hear anything.

I've accepted I'm always going to be a ****** golfer, occasionally getting to lower 90s but usually sitting right around 100. Because of that, golf to me is a way to relax with friends, jam tunes, drink beers, and hit the occasional good shot or putt, no stressing about not getting a 78 score. My golf swing may be wack, but my speaker game is on point.
Funniest thing about BBdK's earbuds take- didn't you buy some of those ridiculous Beats by Dre last year?

I'm talking about Earbuds in public you stupid *** idiot. Walking down the street. Waiting at the bus stop. Shopping at Kroger. Conducting bank transactions. At Thanksgiving Dinner. Etc. The people who can't seem to go 5 minutes in life without music in their ear. Very simple. 95% of these people also fit a certain demographic if you pay close enough attention, as I do.
I wear earbuds at the gym & on airplanes like anyone else, and yes, I have a pair of Sony, Beats (buds, look just like any other pair), and Bose, wife sports the Bose QC. Our household headphone game is :fire::100points:, we just know the appropriate times to wear them, that's all.
...and one more thing -- why does BBdK always wear a plain white hand towel over his shoulder in public??
Please dear god let chad wear earbuds to the tailgate. I will end him.
Some of the biggest UK football fans I know wear headphones to the games and listen to the radio team announcing.

Contra may be overrated slightly, but dunno. That game was pretty amazing for awhile. Plus, it pretty much introduced the simultaneous game play (non sports), or at least took it to new levels. Was incredible at the time.

Bringing an effing boombox to the golf course may be the stupidest thing I've heard in some time. Golf is golf. It's not near as stuffy as it was 30 years ago but my God.
I mean if you want some whatever tunes to distract you playing golf, then maybe you don't need to be out there in the first place. Stay home and keep your Yeti Colster on the back deck, gaffots. FIFA 16 just got released. Pumped. FIFA 15 was right up with there with NCAA Football 2003 and NHL 94 for me. Loved some old school NBA Jam as well, but that's a different kind of sports game IMO.
There is some youtube channel that features today's tweens playing the video games of yesteryear and their reactions. They have one for Contra that is pretty funny. I think one dude died to the first enemy that appears on the screen 10 straight times. Wusses.
Tecmo was obviously a game-changer as things evolved. Sad that I can remember when "Realsports <insert sport>" was the Atari 2600 offering and that it seemed like a huge improvement.
