IN THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE YOU HAVE TO MAKE PLAYS IF YOU WANT TO MAKE IT IN THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE! NOT MAKING PLAYS WON'T GET YOU THERE! INSTEAD, YOU HAVE TO MAKE PLAYS. BECAUSE THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE IS TOO TOUGH IF YOU AIN'T MAKING PLAYS! HAHAHHHAHHAAA!

Rick may not have known but he knew more than just typical college parties were going on. TS. Those stories were floating around the entire time with that crew. That's why the NCAA put those rules in. He may not have know Powell but he knew they were entertaining recruits to some extent. The money for "entertainment" also came from somewhere. I don't think any of it can be linked to him but I think he knows a lot more than he's trying to claim.

anth, with all due respect, you're being incredibly naïve.

With regards as to whether or not HOFCRP knew or heard "stories floating around"- these events ALLEGEDLY took place at the very inner sanctum of #L1C4, the literal heart of Louisville Man- Billy Minardi Hall. Do lesser students on Yale's campus "hear" things about what goes on in the Skull and Bones house? Only in the same sense that you, as a child, "heard" Santa come down the chimney. HOFCRP didn't hear anything because of the code of silence and respect that these men had for their HOFC, as well as the respect they hold for 9/11 victim HOFCRPBILBM, whom the dorm is named after. So I think it's pretty clear that these "stories" weren't bandied about campus like rumors of a PG sleeping with another PG's girlfriend at a less respectable school.

And as far as where the money came from- let us not forget that Andre McGee learned at the heels of the master, HOFCRP. He is a true Louisville Man. You give a Louisville man some hay and he's gonna spin some gold like Rumplestiltskin. So is it hard to imagine how, given the gift of knowledge from HOFCRP, McGee was able to come up with a paltry $10,000 to pay these ALLEGED strippers? Not really, if you pay attention to HOFCRP's record as a man and a motivator.

I'm with Fields on this one. I don't think Pitino knew McGee was setting up pro coitus for recruits and players. I think he's gotten to the point in his career where he's lost the obsessive edge and doesn't GAF about what was going on in the dorm. Doesn't care enough to know what's going on.

Doesn't make him any less responsible.

Cameron Mills tells a story all the time about how shocking it was when Tubby Smith would ask them questions about their personal lives. He said Coach Pitino never asked them anything that was not basketball related.

Put me down for him knowing there were extra funds available, that recruits were to be shown a "good time" while on visits, but not actually knowing McGee was dumb enough to buy $80 whores from the street and pay with a GD wire transfer.

I'd buy this if John Calipari hadn't moved in down the street. No doubt whatsoever that Calipari coming to town made Ricky desperate enough to pull out all the stops. And whores.
And it worked for a while. But then the whores pulled some real ***** moves, IMO.

If they don't play Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" in the background during this scene, then that's a lost opportunity for perfection imo.

Been going to games since 90.

Kentucky has scored 30 points the past two games with 1 td and 4 int through the air.

How long are we going to keep accepting below average QB play from a guy that has had 20 games now to prove his worth?

We should beat Vandy and Charlotte with Matt Roark under center. Those teams are terrible.

If Towles continues to show the same crap why not give the young guy a shot and look forward?

You must have really ****** seats, blind, or do not know jack about football,,, or all of the above.

Let's just throw the theme from Rocky on, trot Barker out there. Shheeiit, the offense line would suddenly become the early 90's Dallas Cowboys all world line, Juice and Dorian would suddenly become as sure handed as Michael Irvin and Jerry Rice. GD why didn't someone in the UK brass not notice your eye and knowledge for football with all the games you have been to ?? I may not be a great internet poster, but I sure as hell can spot another ****** poster who doesn't a damn thing about football, a mile away. because I know football, and know that 100% of the problem with the offense is not on the qb. Drew Barker **** down both legs when he got in during mop up time @ MSU. And that was after MSU had eased up a bit with intensity because they where up 28. So save me the damn "just switch qb's, everything will change."

I have played and coached football for 15+ years. Only a simpleton would continue to defend Towles game after game of below average QB play, and to say he is 0% percent of the problem would only be spoken from a novice football idiot.

No one said "Everything will change"--But at some point garnering the same lackluster results over and over again (20+ games now) and expecting a different outcome is insanity.

Towles is what he is. A big arm QB with consistency issues that *still* has trouble reading defenses.

Also, GFY. You're terrible.

Can't think of a more football simpleton indicator than calling for the backup QB. Especially when your team is giving up 40+ points against average teams.

I said if he has his same 16-34 game with a pick against Georgia it is time to look at Barker going forward.

Do not at all think that is a crazy statement and would venture to bet that is exactly what Stoops and staff will do.

-Actually Stoops has said the complete opposite and I'd bet you we don't see Barker start a game unless we lose to Vandy + Charlotte or Towles gets hurt.

-Funny that you're calling for the backup QB but no backups at the other 21 positions. Get em.

-Trying to temper expectations for basketball season but man I love this team. Just so fun to watch.
*Skal is the furthest along at this point of the bigs on O in the Cal era. I mean, geeezOpete some of those little turn arounds.
*If Willis is going to actually play D and rebound, well alright. Lets do this big guy. Talents obviously there and effort like last night, boom.
*Jerry Meyer liking Marcus Pee's NBA stock, compared him a little to Rodman like skills. He's gonna have to play a lot, especially with Skal's defensive(fouls) wows.

That Duke game is going to be entertaining as hell.

I mean we saw a couple of series of Barker and granted that was in rough conditions (end of a blowout) and a small sample size for sure, but I didn't see a single thing that suggested that Barker was AN answer to any problem, let alone THE answer to the overall problem. In what limited exposure I've had to Drew Barker, he looks like Patrick Towles with a little less maturity and a lot less arm. He still has a ton of potential, but he's not going to come in this season and do anything that Towles couldn't do.

Which is my point. What exactly is Towles doing? IMO he has had his fair shake to move the team forward.

Barker can lead us to wins over Vandy and Charlotte just as PT could. Obviously you have to start looking at developing the young guy as PT hasn't improved as they would have liked

Thanks football wizard. I would rather not hear football opinions from a guy who has never played a snap himself.

Go Patrick Towles though! Cant' wait till we are 5 games into 2016 and Ice Man is sitting at 5 tds and 7 picks!

15 years of football experience makes you some type of football mind? [roll]

Hell, you get 10 years just by starting in youth league and playing through high school.

Towles has had his issues none of which are not getting 11 guys on the field for defense lined up and ready for the snap. Nor playing in kick return coverage.

QB is not even top 10 issues we need to address.

[laughing]

The starting QB has more int's than td's in a pass heavy offense, which is as many int's in eight games as he threw the entire 2014 season.

QB is solid though. Not even in the TOP TEN problems for this team who can't score more than two TD's a game recently.

Can Barker play RB, OL, DE, DT, CB or ST?

Because I'd rank all those positions(RB w/out Boom) below QB play.
