Christmas is as much a secular holiday as a religious holiday in twenty-first century America. Pretty sure Santa didn't go down Jesus's chimney and leave him a Playstation under his Christmas tree at any point in the Bible.

literally NOBODY is offended by the starbucks red cup, and the entire nonsense is a bunch of web/media/viral manufactured horseshit.

people know this, right??!!

The media is a bunch of drama queens- almost as bad as circa 2005 BBdK in that regard.

A couple crazies (a handful out of billions) get irate about some stupid **** on Twitter, then the media picks it up and manufactures a controversy.

This is the same exact thing PTI(pti)/ESPN does every day.

It's F-ing dumb.

Crankdat, serious question...

Do thoughts of Louisville continually preoccupy or intrude upon your mind all day? That's 90% of your posts- Louisville. You're worse than JHB. Chill OUT.

Try living in Louisville and dealing with these bastards on a daily basis. 2013 was enough to make me move to Alaska.

Their hammer is coming and I am sorry I can't contain myself but living in the river city with these idiots is like being buried alive sometimes.

I'm offended that I paid $5.25 for a Chestnut Latte on Sunday. Seriously, who does that regularly?
$4.25 for a quad and a bottle water 3-4 days a week.

-No f*cks about football save world cup every 4 years.

-Anyone who wants to bash Louisville in every post is ok with me. crankdat is a pretty awful poster but if he just stuck with UL bashing he'd be much better.

I also live in Louisville and am really enjoying the scandal, but have managed to live a normal life while it is going on and have no desire to move to Alaska but would like to visit one day.

If it would be guaranteed that you would move to the Middle east, I would almost root for another gd Louisville Championship. Almost.

Todd - I could use the room and some tickets. However, I don't want to pay for them, I just want you to give them to me.

Sounds like you are on the Obama plan. I don't support that plan besides being forced to give them way too much tax $$. So no room or tickets for you.

Harris' oldest must have either backed out or got upgraded.

No father/son trip on this one, he's going to do UK/KU game with me.

Wife backed out on this one. Heaven for bid she has to go to Chicago to do some shopping, going out for a nice dinner, and go sit courtside for a top 5 match up with UK. Rough trip.

Tuesday Shorts:

- Growing up as a passionate Pizza Hut fanatic, it pains me to say this but it is turrible these days. Worst pizza out there.

- Watched The Departed last night- one of my favorite movies of the 2000s. Leo, Matt Damon, Wahlberg, Alec Baldwin, Jack Nicholson, Martin Sheen- one of the best casts of all-time.

- I can't help it- I'm an unabashed Christmashead. Love everything about it- the lights, the music, all the hoopla and parties. There's a reason December comes in at #3 (behind only October and March) on my Best Months rankings. Starbucks even conned me into embarrassingly ordered a Peppermint Mocha today by playing Christmas music. It was delicious. I'd do it again!

- Praise be for that Towns/Wiggins combo in Minnesota. How fun is it going to be watching those two grow up? Maybe that will cool Randall the F out a bit.

- I know we're so used to STUD PIE every year we're a bit spoiled, but seems BBN is sleeping on DeAaron Fox. Kid is basically a Wall/Knight hybrid- not as freaky as Wall and not as good of 3baller as Knight- but pretty damn good in both areas.

- So glad we're not dealing Diallo drama right now.

- Not apples to apples, as UNC had more talent when he got there and an easier hill to climb, but look at the leap the Heels have made in Year 4 of the Fedora era. IF Stoops is worth a ****, next year will tell the tale. A bowl game is essential this year, though.

- I know I'm not allowed to have an opinion on this because I'm white and all, but this Mizzou thing-> [eyeroll]. Look at the timeline here. What am I missing?

- WEEK AWAY from UK-Duke...can you believe it? We need to beat these pricks. It's been since 1998.

That's so f*cking stupid. Just clear the kid OR better yet let KU deal with entrance and academic eligibility issues and get out of that business altogether. NCAA sucks.

In all seriousness, GYERO Law, LLC gets it. Best internet law in the biz, really.

Also:

This isn’t the the first case to involve that allegation. In fact, it’s not even the biggest. Miami booster Nevin Shapiro admitted to paying for numerous outings to strip clubs for Miami recruits and players over nine years, in addition to paying for prostitutes and hosting sex parties on his yacht — much of this with the knowledge of and on at least one occasion the participation of coaches (one of whom, incidentally, U of L subsequently hired and retained on its football staff). For all intents and purposes, those strip club visits were lumped into the same impermissible benefit category as trips to restaurants or bowling alleys. But there were extenuating circumstances at Miami.

Ventured away from my local barber this weekend with my son. We were way past due for a trimmin'. It was for the best . . . or so I thought.

I had vowed never to do it again 4 years ago, but my barber isn't in on Saturdays anymore which is the only time I can get away to get cleaned up. So my son and I went to Mastercuts. In the mall.

And you know, sitting in that chair while it was happening, I thought things were looking good. I even thought I looked good later on that night. Mastercuts has gotten sh*t right.

*Cue Charlie Murphy gif* "Wrong. Wrong!"

I don't know how they do it, but approximately 48 hours after a Mastercuts cut, you turn into dying Chia Pet. Never again.

Touch you and your Mastercuts, you follicle lottery winning entitled prick.

Think about those of us who will never again know the feeling of having a slightly above average looking SuperCuts stylist's boobies brush against our shoulders as she gives us a mediocre haircut.

-Strong randoms from Chad. Good way to start the morning.

-I think the reason some are sleeping on Fox is that for a year, all the experts said there was a "Big Three", and people were focused on those guys(and the fact that we weren't likely getting any of them). Now that talk has died down, as people have realized that this is the deepest class in ages. Fox would be Top 3 in basically any other class in the past 5-6 years.

-Chain pizza is garbage overall, and in a small town like Versailles, we have only Little Caesars/Pizza Hut/Papa Johns as our options, so we have no other choice, basically. But I will say that we got one of those new seasoned-crust pizzas from Pizza Hut the other day and it was actually really good. Probably an aberration, though. I get it.

-Coaching rec league basketball again, and it's a group of high school guys. So I fully expect every post player to think they're a two-guard, and every guard to think they're Steph. And since we only practice every other week, I'm basically just rolling the ball out there(JUST LIKE CAL!) and trying to manage playing time. Would appreciate your puppies.

-Rake the leaves or mulch them? Annual dilemma.

-When it comes to national delivery pizza I go -> Papa>Domino>>>>>>Hut --- We'll get PJ here at work occasionally b/c it's the only place that delivers way out here.

-I'm not sleeping on Fox, he was my most wanted in the class. Can't wait.

-Hyatt Bar being down right now blows, you think they could do something much better with the Hightops space. It's a drab, outdated, cave. Blow that sucker out, put in a big bar, 20 TVs and a bunch of lighting.

Lol, raking leaves is pointless, at least in my hood. Neighbor was out all morning, I walked over and mocked him a bit, and sure enough today it looks as if he never touched them. With those big *** trees and the wind tunnel the street and traffic create until they're all down and everyone has cleaned their yard it takes less that 48 hours to make the work wasted.

$50 to the lawn guys. Done. Well worth it. I got more important stuff to do, like take a nap, hang with G and watch football, read a book. Really anything else other than mess with raking.

It's a postage stamp and it looks great all the time. One of the best looking front yards on the street. My neighbors love it. The lawn guys(I'm all for offending mofos) do an excellent job and it's well worth it. Last thing I want is to be like PTI(pti) and be in a nice neighborhood with the worst lawn on the street -> Missing grass, weeds, burnt spots, no mulch = GTFO of the neighborhood and stop dragging my prop value down. Slub. You're an American, be proud of your damn yard. Pay an immigrant to keep it straight. HELL YEAH!!
