PORZINGIS

You know, the hype train's getting a bit out of control for the kid, but he's playing great. Love him. Will likely get a T-shirt, just like I did for Jeremy Lin. Couldn't be happier to be wrong about somebody.

This is like another "I. AM. NUMBER ONE" ad for me. I also enjoy how it was 30 seconds of KRISTAPS. PORZINGIS. And then at the end, "btw, LeBron and AD too!" Such is the power of New York. But again, really good. And if Sam Mitchell keeps inexplicably benching Karl Towns in 4th quarters, maybe a shot at Rookie of the Year. Or at least All-Rookie.

I'm sorry, Lauren and Tiff, but unless you are babysitting or playing with your own children, your coloring days are done. Ridiculous.

08 has been awfully quiet. Guarantee she colors, too.

No coloring here, but I'm all about the crafting/pinterest ********. I just prefer my crafts to have some sort of "purpose" (albeit, mostly imaginary).

Consequently, I have a lot of throw pillows. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Crawford thinks Pitino may not have talked to media last night because he is in timeout for talking to media in NY. So HOFCRP is either a dumbass or little *****.

For some reason I hear Sheldon's voice every time I read PORZINGIS.

UK-IU alternating at Yum & (insert Indy NBA arena name here) with 50/50 crowds would be a good 1st Saturday of Dec tradition. But IU wouldnt do it, UL wouldnt allow it, and Cal wouldnt want to lock in another yearly noncon.
#welp

HOFCRPPRICK blamed the poll voters for using the ***** scandal as an unfair excuse to punish his team by not ranking them. If those guys had any nuts they would be sure to truely do so for the rest of the season.

Thursday Shorts:

- I'm with BBdK on UK/IU. It's a special rivalry and I'd love to play it again. With that said, F them- we'll do it on our terms. We're the Big Dog here. Play it in Yum and Indy.

- Speaking of UK-Indiana in Indy, you ever look back on what a F'ing idiot you were in college and syh? I remember the student section up there my sophomore year refusing to sit down and wanting to stand all game, leading to adult fans getting pissed and security getting involved. Sit your *** down when there are people behind you, College Chad. Don't be a dick.

- Would UK have trouble with a lot of teams right now? Absolutely. But good thing for us, I think our teams is led by some BIG GAME players. I think Ulis, Briscoe and Murray are the types who rise to the occasion, shine when the lights are the brightest.

- I'm with 73- Duke's black kids are equally as hateable as their cracka *** crackas. It's amazing how one program can have so many dbags.

- to Booker or whoever it was pointing out how Louisville Damion Lee is. What took Pitino so long getting that dude to campus?

- Louisville's good. I thought they might be considering they have shooters now, and their bigs aren't as awful as I would have hoped. Going to be a ballgame in Rupp. I might get sent to jail up in Williamsburg...DEVELOPING...

- I hate Nairn. Dude is awful. Good thing Valentine handles most of the ballhandling duties when it matters. State's an excellent team. Have Valentine doing his best Evan Turner, 3 terrific outside shooters and then their usual array of blue collar bigs.

- Booker 60% from 3. :fire: Damn, I wish we still had him. Who'da thunk that dude would be OAD.

- Lass cooked brussel sprouts, which are my favorite veggie, but Marcus have eaten 3 bowls of Colon Blow. Strugggggling this morning.

- I'll give Pinterest/Etsy this...I love me some good string art. Great gift material.

- [laughing] @ Boogie and Rondo becoming besties. That one could've gone either way...and still might.

- You can have your sundresses, give me this look ALL/AIR:

beanie, scarf, bubble vest, yoga pants/boots. I get whiplash this time of year.

Annnnnnd profit.

- The two best sports bars in the Cincinnati area just might be Dickmanns and Longnecks if that tells you anything.

- Welp, tonight's the night- lass's holiday party and missing at least half of UK-UCLA. We'll see what kind of girl I have when I'm pushing for us to bounce to some **** Covington hole like Geezl Pete's to watch the second half. Hate to ***** about free food and alcohol but man's gotta have priorities in life. Good thing- one of her co-workers is a UK girl and her dude is a huge fan as well so we might be hunkering down over a phone.

- Some of you pricks didn't think I had it in me, but tomorrow marks ONE YEAR of dating the old lady. :eyes:

thoughts on just hiring a new swing coach?

[pfftt]
You have that bet locked up. Congrats. None of us knew he would have this many back surgeries. As i said for me as a fan, i think it would be fitting to let Jack have the major record and Tiger somehow get 3 more PGA tour wins to tie or 4 to pass Snead and own that record. Then the debate can go on for years, until of course, Spieth breaks them all.:golf:

- The Lakers will get Ben Simmons- write it down.

Piano lessons are one weird thing I've always wanted to do, think it would be a cool thing to have one day -- grew up with one.

Baldwin, of course.

...hear commercials all the time for Gist pianos. That's one of those businesses where I wonder how in the hell they stay in business or make a lot of money? Place has seemingly been around forever, so I guess they do fine -- but are people really buying pianos all/air?

Kinda like the 14 different niche 'vacuum' stores and repair shops along Bardstown Rd. I don't get it.

-None of Louisville's bigs are great, but they're all pretty good/capable. Never a bad thing to have 3 7 footers, all of which give you a little something different, and can play. Still think Mahmoud will be the best of the bunch when it's all said and done.

-Tomlin in full fire Crean mode, love it. It's mind boggling watching that team of really good players just give up layup after layup. They'd be a top 10'ish team with about 50 other coaches, TS.

-This holiday season is flying by, imo. 3 weeks til NYC. [cheers]

-Congrats to Chad on the 1 year -- never thought that would happen.

-Tonight's game should be fun and interesting. Hard to believe it's the first game EVER between UK/UCLA on either campus. Line at -5.5 -- I think I like that, but still not sure how good Ulis is going to be.

Sorry not sorry, bud, I thought it was something I had to have.

Actually, it's technically a loaner from the good folks at Steinway & Sons. Learn classical music organizations.

I was looking up the series last night on Scott's website and it is 7-4 us, but there have been a few games on campus in the past.

Tom just had UCLA's Radio guy on and he basically talked for 30 minutes about how it's the first time in series history they are playing on each other's campus?

Didn't we play out there in December 1994 and lose a close one to their 1995 national title team?

ETA: Nope that one was at The Pond in Anaheim.

UofL was also without Deng Adel. I know they SUCK!!!, but they actually have a pretty good team this year. Write me down for under 10 losses and a Sweet 16-Elite 8 type season.

It'll be a battle at Rupp December 26th.

The 1998 beatdown of UCLA in the tournament was incredibly fun. I want to say CBS cut away to Rhode Island vs. Valpo before halftime it had gotten so out of hand.

There has never been a good individual player that was demolished more handily in a ballgame than JR Henderson was by Jamaal Magloire and Nazr Mohammed. Helped to not have Baron Davis, but still. Super talented UCLA bunch anyway. Beat em down.

We won all 3.

All before Pauley. Apparently their old gym was so ****** that whenever they had a 'big' game they played off campus at Pan Pacific Auditorium. I'm guessing that's where we played them.
