Prayers up Rogue, and please use this as a sign to lay off the f'd up supplement regimen and stupid *** diet you obviously have been on for a long time. BBN doesn't need you being their version of Rick Rude. Get better dude.

Is it me or did Rogue miss a chance to cement his legendary status in GYERO history?

Cardiac episode could have been caused by much better circumstances:
1. A threesome with college/Buccaneer cheerleaders.
2. Bar fight with a handful of biker boys caused by Rogue ordering Bud Lt.
3. Beating the crap out of a group of insulted old timers at the early bird special cuz a wife hit on Rogue.
4. New York snowbird beef cake and his buddies thought they could run Rogue out of the Planet Fitness.
5. Rescues his beloved pooch from a rogue great white shark in the Gulf. Shark now on display at the pier.

Any of these would have been much better than a boring fall down in you home and alone situation.
Come on man!!!

Seriously, just keeping it light. Get well soon.

Man, my doctor saw my cholesterol two lab work ups ago and being carnivore and on TRT of course my cholesterol was up. He asks “do you want statins?”

I looked at him like he had two heads and said, “NO, what’re you talking about? I’ll just change my diet and appetite.”

Him, “well if you take statins you don’t have to change anything.”

I asked, “Do you not ask about and recommended diet and exercise first?”

He said, “I used to but no one wants to hear that they just want pills and not change their lifestyle.”

I changed off carnivore and incorporated foods with lower cholesterol and fat like going from whole milk to skim, red meat to chicken, turkey, fish, etc. added in some veggies and viola lab work was perfect last time.

^see how that works gang?

70-80% of ALL your cholesterol comes from your own body. Cholesterol IS NOT the problem. Cholesterol is the key ingredient to like 80% of cell building/functioning.

It’s there to repair problems in the heart. Now if you already have a bunch of problems, blockages, thinning arterial walls, etc then cholesterol can compound the problem.

Statins are a joke in my opinion They do way more harm than good for the average person under 70,
Leg Day is Best for this guy. Hardest day is the most fun, that’s why I do 3 leg days a week 😃. Abs and Glutes today.

Basically if I do legs I do abs in between sets, if I do anything else it’s calves between sets.

Listened the the Gary Brecka podcast on Rogan and it just confirmed what I’ve been (and a lot of lifter buddies) saying for the last few years. Cholesterol is not the main problem, it can exacerbate a problem that already exists but that excluded cholesterol is basically the main building block for cells, cell growth and function.

I’m actually thinking it is something more embarrassing that he’s passing off as “I fell in my house.”

-1stly all, please make jokes, seriously…so I can KICK YOUR *** ONE DAY. Kidding I need the laughs, it’s been nothing but condolences and “you’ll beat this bro”
from all my friends which is so appreciated but I make light of serious **** all the time.

Great post bro.

Just like earlier today, I told my mom as long as I don’t have to quit working out I’ll do whatever because it’s my biggest love.

She asked, what if you have to?

I told her I’d rather live in Gaza.

-Finally I’m the best at SOMETHING in GYERO, heart attacks. Suck it JDrum.

- @WayneDougan no problem Wayne that’s when I go for that second opinion…
But believe me the last hospital ran about everything 3 times and never said anything.

- @cole854 ’s best troll job yet? Bravo 👏, kidding thanks bro.

-Why would anyone care if their phone is made of titanium, IPhone lovers? Just nothing else new that could be done this year or the public at large just that gullible to advertising?

I mean I’ve always had one but people will be like, which one you got man? No idea hoss.

I remember a girl at the sprint store in KW tell me I could get the deal so you get a brand new one every year!

I said why would I care to have the new one every year it texts and calls and has internet right?

You’d have thought I shot her grandmother at a parade.

-Momma 🐻 gets here in 4 days ::dancingbanana:: probably follow her back to KY a bit after, doctor pending of course ain’t like I’m going to be able to do a lot around here without a clean bill of health.

1-lift no
2-swim no
3-work let’s hope not 😉

- Every now and again, a meme/GIF really amuses me. Enjoying the Tiger “Big Dog” one right now.

- Those NFL pregame one-on-one studio interviews where the interviewer asks nothing and the player reveals nothing annoy me. The way the NFL is covered overall is terrible.

- BIL gave the wife $50 to get me a bottle of bourbon so she asked what I wanted. “$50? Easy - Rare Breed.”

Mark, so sorry I’m just now catching up and finding out about this, but more importantly sorry about your situation.

Get well soon, bro.

Even though we’re past it now, just a couple of Christmas randoms to send it off:

-Think it was Tigger that already said it, but give me the entire Vince Guaraldi Trio holiday collection for something you can just have on in the background anytime this (past) season.

-Was watching for the umpteenth time with the fam the other night, and it hit me that Judge Reinhold’s Christmas Sweater game in the Santa Claus series is absolute 🔥. Not sure how I didn’t notice before.

The rest:

-cutitloose…before you ever criticize anyone else’s posting game, just try dropping ONE decent set of randoms like you’re supposed to do around here. Except half, if not all, of them will be about living in Florida, your work, and how parenthood is just SOOOO difficult. So, never mind.

-As I type this past midnight, today is literally the shortest daylight day of the year. All uphill from here, gang.

-1989 is an absolutely solid album all the way through.

-Right about now is where my absolute disgust with myself over my drinking and nutrition every years hits a high. Can’t want to clean it up next week.

-On a related note, got an AG1 starter kit. Excited to start, have heard good things.

-Every time I hear Matt and the gang talking about how amazing it is that Ray Davis is playing in the bowl game on the show, I have to ask myself “They know why, right? I mean, Matt (at least sometimes) reads GYERO.” It certainly ain’t out of his “love for Kentucky.” He seems so genuinely surprised by it on air.

-I’ll admit it if I’m wrong, but I still believe Edwards is going to figure it out. When he does, everyone else should be scared.

-Happy sad times of year because the lights are still up but you know they’re coming down soon.

-Old habits die hard, at the gym now just doing some stretching and moving. Still packed and dressed like I’m meeting pretzel for leg day.

-Started growing the beard back out because why not but already thinking bout cutting that and the hair super short again back to my military style, grandma would be proud.

-Shewboy there are some DAMN good looking families in here seeing all these social Xmas photos.

It’s a loooooong list just seeing @wcc31 ‘s last night was just the most recent, I was like damn son, do work.

-Dog, beach, book, sounds about right today.

-Have a great MUHHFUGGGIN day GYERO!

@roguemocha

Were you on testosterone as part of your routine?

Just curious. Taking it, so I've heard, even if you need it can lead to heart issues sometimes?
Worth looking into whether or not you have the Factor V Leiden gene before taking testosterone. It’s a somewhat rare blood clotting gene, myself and my entire family have it. It has never reared its head but is more a concern for women during pregnancy.

That said, they explicitly told me to never take T because in my case would increase the risk of me throwing a clot by some ridiculously high number.

Just a thought. Hope you are on the mend quickly Rogue!!

If you took a poll: Who is going to have a heart attack first?

HymanKaplan (old, angry, drinks too much, smoked for 30 plus years, and an established and well documented life-long pattern of drug abuse)

OR...

Rogue - makes quetionable dating decisions, but seems relatively low-stressed, eats well, doesn't smoke, and spends, what I would consider to be, an inordinate amount of time staying in shape.

IF there had been a line in Vegas, someone could have taken a flier on rogue and made bank.

Rogue changing his ways after a visit from the Ghost of Christmas Heart Attacks?

In all seriousness hope you're doing ok. Having something happen like that at our age is scary but hopefully it can lead to it being treated earlier.

-xmas eve at sister's place... finger foods and such. Dirty Santa for the adults...15 people 3 steals. We're way too chill for drama. Ended up with a scarf... eldest liked it, so she got it when we got home.

-Xmas dinner: brisket*, potato gratin, brussels, spinach salad. SiL made a nice cake.

*tacos last night with leftovers.

-Mrs Rudd got me Echo and the Bunnymen tix ( @Century Cat ). Thanks for the heads up @Kooky Kats .

^Sadly Brooklyn is out as FCPS has a 10 or so day window for graduation... and that encompasses the Brooklyn date. Gonna do Boston or Toronto... never been to either city, why not.

-uneventful holiday... no illness/emergency. Been a minute.

* Rogue, hopefully you learn your lesson and stop taking so much testosterone straight from the tap.

You don't have to prove your manhood by swallowing every time.

Get well, my man.

* Not sure if I have a slight hangover or a little bug. My 11-yo puked a few times yesterday and has been really lethargic. So I may have caught that. But on the other hand it could've been the beer and shots last night. I took it somewhat easy, but I don't recover like I used to.

I'm the only poor unfortunate soul working at the office today and there is a better than 50/50 chance that I will be puking in my garbage can in the next 15 minutes.

* Had a wonderful Christmas and Christmas Eve with the fam. I hope you all did as well.

I received bourbon, UK stuff (pjs, a black vest and a 1/4 zip fleece) and some weird cooking stuff–a really heavy duty pepper mill, a bunch of spices and a salt pig. I had to look that up. Had no idea what it was for.

* Enjoyed some Pappy 12 on Christmas Eve.

Bought an OHLQ exclusive The Burning Chair bourbon last week. Don't love it.

My nephew had given me a bourbon advent tree. That was fun. A lot of good, high proofers in there. Most of which I had never had.

* My MIL is putting my FIL who is suffering from dementia in a home tomorrow. It is awful. He knows enough that he is upset about it.

As expected, my MIL is really taking it hard. Knowing she is doing the right thing, but still not living with him after being married 60+ years.

He was a big strong man who played end on offense and defense for Xavier (all-time leading receiver) and played for the Buffalo Bills. Super sweet guy. On Christmas he was eating a paper napkin with a knife and fork. It is just so sad.

I love the man. This is rough.

* Touch Clemson.
