Back to to the Big East.
BRING BACK THE METRO!

Remember when those hole-moles used to call us LPT? Well how about them apples, *****.

* The New York Times is suing OpenAI (maker of ChatGPT) and Microsoft for infringing copyright by allowing it to go around their paywall when ChatGPT users ask and by using their articles without permission to train the software to then produce competitive content. I hope the Times bankrupts OpenAI and gets a large enough judgment against Microsoft to disincentivize other software giants from going forward with AI.

AI should be murdered in its crib.

* I feel like I've done nothing but travel, eat rich food, and drink for a month and a half. Taking this week off (which I was going to have to do any way because I've got the flu or covid) and then going to be moseying back over to that FITEYRO life and recharging the bank account from all the spending on **** I didn't want to do in the first place.

Next year, this will be me and the missus:

Fat Albert: We were singing the song “Don’t Steal Candy Bars”, when I felt a pain in my arm. The first heart attack was bad.. but the seventh and eighth were really wake-up calls. My life had become like school on Sunday.

Offscreen Voice: How’s that?

Fat Albert: No class!

It’s a great tactic to get them to play, for real.

That said, once they are suited up I doubt you’ll have any ducking out. You’ve already crossed the biggest hurdle in getting them there. Anybody that’s a dude is going to want to go ball out and win at that point. If they don’t they’re a puss.

I would agree a lot more with this point if it wasn't about football. That pro sport is so shamelessly unrelenting when it comes to lack of player safety, shortness of careers, one-sided contracts between teams and players...

....tbh, every single player should fight like hell for every single scrap he can get. In that sport, anyways.

Sounds like a great sales pitch to keep kids in school, tbh.

The NFL's ridiculous cheapness might be a good weapon to use against them. Isn't the average NFL career just short of qualifying for a pension? The salaries for non-stars aren't as crazy as you'd think, either. There's a lot of guys making less than a million a year for literally shaving years off their lives.

Absolutely love how much Cal is recruiting the Commonwealth these days.

It’s all about March and April here- always has been - but the stubborn paisano has made some big adjustments over the past couple years in staff, recruitment and style of play.

Apparently the risk of suicide skyrockets in the months after a HA too. Keep your head on straight Rogue.
-Yes, I’ve discussed this with some people including some on this board. I’d be a lie if I said I wasn’t concerned, especially losing my #1 activity/therapy for a bit. I’ve always been an emotional bro as is.

Pretty excited to get to relive the whole thing every touching Christmas forever…

Very likely starting therapy just to have someone else monitoring my headspace, wouldn’t be the first time. I’ve never been scared to admit if I’m not doing well.

Good chance I roll back to Lex for a little bit and kick it with Mom. I haven’t been in SP long enough to have a great support group, tbh.

-Weird things since HA:
Not one solid poo
My calves have been sore since
24/7 bloodshot eyes
I love everyone and want to be nice (very odd 😉)
Read someone (Willie ?) talking about family activities and thought I want one of those.*

In all honesty, you bastards, even reprobates like @B.B.d.K., are filling in a huge need/void for me like you have no idea.

Here’s one out of left field, even @cole854

Taking a flyer here.

Anybody have a lead on two *reasonable* tickets for the Gonzaga game on 2/10? Thinking about stopping through after a work trip to the East coast.

Man, congrats UCL. The Madison Co Bucee's is a treasure that is filled with a surprising amount of hot milf *** during the traveling season. Enjoy.

*HOWEVER, how any establishment in this region can operate without Mountain Dew sales is beyond belief. It really pisses me off when I stop and think about it. And I won't even mention Reese cups. Where in God's Great America can you go without Mountain Dew or Reese products? Probably someplace really fn weird and awful like Portland. Hell, maybe someplace really weird and awful like Texas? Hard to believe that's possible, but somehow that state managed to produce the convenient circus they call Bucee's. Maybe Texas ain't all it's cracked up to be.

Because he posted his thoughts on the internet, Hank's now marked for elimination by our future AI overlords. Should be an epic RIP thread on here when it happens.

Every GSC NIL athlete is playing in the game. And if they play a few snaps or whatever and try to cheat us we won’t pay them. It’s as simple as that.

Of course, it won’t be because they didn’t play. It will be because there a few things in the agreement that haven’t been completed.

If you think college kids or greasy NIL agents are smarter than us you’re mistaken.

Full disclosure, and more personal information than I’m generally willing to share around here, but if it helps even one person it’s worth it:

I’ve used BetterHelp, and it’s absolutely legit. I’m not now, but I used it for a few months during a particularly difficult time, and I would absolutely go back if needed.

The customization is amazing based on the intake questionnaire; they literally paired me with the perfect therapist, IMO. And the convenience of video sessions is invaluable.

Only drawback, it is pricey; I’m not sure about insurance options, I was just paying out of pocket.

Well, there you go. Matt finally just acknowledged on the show that some people are playing tomorrow solely because of getting the last NIL payment, not because they care about UK or the game itself. But hey, gives us a better chance to win, so I’m all for it.
Ray Davis is wearing a boot. Hopefully that doesn't mean he's showing up for a check but not playing.

Leave it to krazy to bring my point from the other day full circle.

Honestly speaking I get the idea behind a final payout to play in a bowl game, but if Ray plays and we lose he is paid regardless and that’s a win so that the money people don’t “waste” their money?

That makes the people behind NIL so smart?

Satan has been ruling this earth spiritually for awhile. Now we’ve got nerds trying to give him a physical body. Made of titanium

Billionaires are burrowing in the ground guys. They know something we don’t. Yal who live in the cities, good luck.

This society of luxury that we have built for ourselves is very fragile. Wouldn’t even take too big of a hit to take away some of those luxuries and a lot of people would lose their minds.

At the risk of dk mocking me for a few months, ARM YOURSELF.

It seems as though the thought for the NIL folks are their stipulations are to keep players motivated to play in bowl games and not sit out.

My point is if they play and are paid but we lose what did the NIL guys accomplish by having a stipulation to play in the bowl games?

Again, I get it because if it was my money I’d not want to see them sitting out either, but it isn’t a win if that stipulation gets a kid to play and we lose anyway, and god forbid the kid gets injured.

My overall point is there are still things to figure out and this baby step isn’t the final hurdle to jump.

If they only had a Time Machine to know whether we won or not to make it worth it.
