That's a ***** move imo, no matter if nobody can do anything.

Why trash or tarnish the University that helped make you who you are today? Barkley does it too.

I guess it's one thing if it's a serious conversation about "how things were back then" , but bragging and taunting it seems wrong, imo.

At the very least, I'm sure LSU, with prodigy Ben Simmons in the house, don't appreciate it.

This Duke team isn't that dissimilar to a lot of Duke teams here in the last 10 years, really. Everyone pines for shooters- for good reason- but you can't go overboard with skill guys either. Reason being- honks like Allen and Kennard can't check today's jet-quick college guards. Of course, Duke also lacks in the post in many ways including scoring, rim protection and athleticism/physicality- another similar trait for many of K's teams the last decade.

Jefferson's return would certainly help them on offense, defense and the boards, though.

Like I said- I want a Forde "You made your bed, K" column- where's it at?

Shaq as always will come back saying he was just joking around and everyone should have known he was just kidding, like the time he claimed to have been doubleteamed by the Williams (tennis) sisters

what a tired act he has been from day 1 off the court

What would really make you sick is to see your gross winnings figure from a few hours at the blackjack table, assuming it was decent.

This really tarnishes LSU and the whole collegiate model, tbh. Idk if the system will ever be the same, and LSU is screwed. You remember what happened to _____ university when they were found to he blatant cheaters.

The thing I remember most about the Kanter mess was how the NCAA flat out admitted that it doesn't follow its own precedent. To an attorney (hell - to anyone) that is flat out dumbfounding.
Counter point- it's an organization that makes millions of dollars off of unpaid labor, organized by one of, if not the most, out of touch segment of society (university administrators) and has an unfathomable penchant for hypocrisy and greed.

So really, the dumbfounding thing would have been for the NCAA to follow its own precedent.

I don't want a Forde "you made your bed now lie in it, K" column because Forde's a dumbass and that would just push Duke onto a UK-in-2014 like tourney run which would ruin the NCAA tournament for me. I mean can you even imagine an 8 seed Duke led by honks in the title game? *shudders*

No one is going to give a **** because it is LSU basketball. It's not like Jamal Mashburn said that.

I think it is pretty clear Shaq is joking. There is zero chance he would throw Dale Brown under the bus.

You act like there is any doubt he was paid. Do you know who Lester Earl is?
I don't doubt he was paid. I just think the context of this interview or whatever it was, was in a joking manner. Enough so that the NCAA won't touch it.

There it is, been waiting all year.

Coach K struggles building teams that can compete and stop dribble penetration from elite guards.

Thanks for the shout-outs, guys. We're just trying to build a program and things have set up for us. When I was at a bigger school the last 15 years, I hated the All-A because we always had to adjust/work around the smaller schools that were on our schedule. And with the weather in January, the All-A can be a scheduling nightmare. But now that we're in it, I can safely say that I was wrong for hating it. It's a good feeling watching young kids develop some confidence in something that they had none in just 3 months ago.

I'm not "pitting out" in that shirt. It was the lighting. It was a very comfortable 75 degrees in that gym with 0% relative humidity. Only fatties sweat. We've covered this.

My wife is indeed beautiful, but I just assumed marrying up was commonplace in gyero?

Up next for us is Rod Rhodes' Cordia Lions. They have an awfully good squad. Very athletic. They will be one of the best teams we will play all year.

5 National Championships, 12 Final Fours, 13 ACC Tournament Championships, 12 ACC Regular Season Championships, Olympic Gold Medals, 1033 wins.

Just imagine if he could stop dribble penetration from elite guards!

Last 10 years, he's been past the S16 3x. He always has top notch talent and a great seed. Why the struggles in March?

The game evolves. Last year's squad featured two quick guards and an elite athlete who could guard all 5 positions.

You can argue it's a bad take if you want, but I at least back it up with reason.

I love the All-A. Great tournament and, surprisingly, many times some of the best teams in the state.

I'd be interested in hearing everyone's in order top 5 coaches in college basketball since Cal became head coach at UK. Obviously include Cal in your list.

At least this list is relevant to something interesting and not the top five hot dog vendors in some tourist trap.

[eyeroll] at leaving Pitino off any list during that timeframe, arguably the best "coaching" of his entire career, in fact.

GYERO is better than that, except for Bristol and probably Chad.

Get real.

K
Cal

^ this is close, could definitely argue Cal overall (Final 4s, recruiting, contending EVERY year but 1), but hard to argue against 2 titles, even if the rest has been marginal.

Pitino
Self
Izzo

Ended up about even this past trip. Seems like there is always some beginner that invariably sits on 3rd base and draws the ire of the table with some stupid hit that pulls the dealers bust card. Honestly thought the guy next to me was gonna get thrown out at Caesars. Dude was livid. Just rode the poor bastard until he eventually left. Was pretty damn funny.

Pitino is an easy 3rd. Cal and K is a tossup. K has more championships, but Cal has had the best team 3 of the 7 years in college basketball, and more Final Fours. Self and Izzo are a tossup as well.

Tom Crean is probably near the bottom of all lists.

They weren't minis...it was 18 Chicken Biscuits, my standard order for Statewide Mortgage (my referral baby). Didn't touch them, but it was a brutal 15 minute drive w/ them riding shotgun with me.

Typically, I'll get my own order and eat & catpaw while I wait, but I called this one in from the gym. In & Out. I'm trying, touch off. :grimace: (my paypal is my gmail)
