Win Saturday and BBdK officially F'd up by cancelling his SEC Tourney plans...

Lol, nah. I'm comfortable with my decision this year, and didn't cancel them b/c I was mad at the team, unlike 2014. I'll be on/in a beach/casina, I'll be fine.

GO CATS!

-2 wins from BirdGang this week tho, and SAE owes $100 to a Cuadinal.

So apparently that 115' houseboat that sunk was named "Male Order".

Sucks to lose a boat like that, but... "Male Order"?

That's awful. The name. Not that it sunk.

Probably wouldn't have sunk if they named it Filthy Oar or something a little punnier.

General Fox:

“I told them I was going to Kentucky before I ended up committing so we started the group chat a little early,” he says. “The day before Bam committed, he told Wenyen and so Wenyen added him to the group chat before he committed. And then Malik committed a couple of days later and then I brought him into the group chat. At this point, we’re all just bonding and getting to know each other better—build team chemistry. We talk almost every day. We just want to show up to Lexington and try to win a championship at the end of the day."

Darn thing, I had finally come up with a name I liked for my boat. Was actually ordering the decal.

This gay earth/sea.

What a job by Cal this recruiting year-

UK wasn't even recruiting Fox until late summer.
Gabriel was supposedly a lean to redhot Duke.
Adebayo had been considered a combo lock with Smith to NC State forever.
Killeya-Jones lives in Chapel Hill.
Monk's entire family was connected at the hip to the University of Arkansas.

Cal just flexed on everyone.

IU finally has at least a test tonight in Madison, albeit against an 11-9 NIT team. Line is IU -2, hmm...

As up and down as they have been the Kohl center is still a tough place to go, at least for those trying to wager on the visiting team.

No question -- and they're about 1 more loss from being completely out of the NCAA.

Longshot as is, but they have to start tonight if they want any chance whatsoever.

Lets rank every player in the super bowl. Then lets do the coaches, managers, scouts, cheerleaders and HR departments.

You seem to respond to the so called ****** posters( in my case unprovoked) quite often.

That's on you pal.

The claims that are going to be paid out on the lake for boat owners are going to be insane. I've had 5 claims so far with many more on the way.

Beware of the great deal on a slightly used boat this summer.

Not only am I glad Kansas lost last night since it has no bearing on Saturday, if there was a way for them to go ahead and lose another game between now and Saturday, I'd be cool with that.

Used to subscribe to that train of thought. Turns out it's kind of dumb. Used to check and see who the referees were and do research on all of them on Jon's site prior to the game. Turns out only a couple of referees matter. Roger Ayers, Jamie Luckie and maybe one more.

Especially this year where everybody sucks, let's just roll the ball out there and see what happens. KU's guards are remarkably bipolar for upperclassmen. I know Wayne Selden didn't play as much as he should have his first two years, but Frank Mason did. And both of those guys have incredible bouts of dumb.

* Somebody should have told Dan Dakich and Doug Gottlieb that they don't HAVE to act like pro wrestling heels. Just break down the action. Not every analyst has to spit fire all the time. Look at Sean Farnham. I think he's the best young color guy in the business and to my knowledge, he has no gimmicks. Geese's boy Jon Sundvold has been doing this for 20 years. And what sucks is that when Dakich isn't hamming it up, he's REALLY good. Gottlieb might just be a natural prick though.

* I saw Iowa blow a 20+ point lead at Iowa State (no shame in that) and then they lost twice at the Old Spice Classic...and they haven't lost since. They're really good. Uthoff is unbelievable. Will be interesting to see if they can keep it up because they've folded down the stretch each of the last two years. Don't know if you chalk that up to Fran McCaffery being a perpetual powder keg just waiting to go off, but I feel like they're better than that this time around.

* First day I could get out of the house and go to work in a full week. F snow.

* VINTAGE BKH HORRIBLE COMPARISON TAKE APPROACHES: Could this year be for Duke what 12-13 was for Kentucky? They've already got 6 losses, they've had a bad injury (although Jefferson will eventually be back), and irreparable flaws - PG play, inside scoring - aided by relying on more youth than usual. They still have to play UNC twice, Louisville twice, Virginia, FSU, + ACC Tournament. I'm not going to damn them to the NIT because you could theoretically have a 2 seed with 10 losses in this crappy year, but one year after replacing most of the key components from a title team and yikes.

* Team's getting a little better. Really good 3-point defense the last 2 games against teams good at hitting threes. Baby steps, I guess. Good job limiting turnovers too.

* Gregg Popovich is so flippant about the regular season it's awesome. He basically gives his top guys a DNP--OLD whenever they want. Not sure they can hide Parker on defense in the playoffs, but I do love how he's basically like "2 seed, chill, see you in the conference finals".

* Potential Western Conference 8 seed Sacramento Kings. What? Gosh I want that so bad.

* Congrats to Strokin'. Not only do I appreciate that we think alike on a lot of things, but you also don't RT the crap out of guys like this like so many coaches do. Fake motivation sucks.

* Best game tonight: X @ Providence. I think Providence is the best team in the Big East. Or at least best equipped for a deep run.

* I don't mention this enough, but I love you guys. Bunch of goofs. You've gotten me through some rough ones these last 10 years.

^ Rack'em. There's the old BKH coming strong.

-I just pulled my last 90 days GAMBOL wager stats after teasing Harmon about the amount he told me he's wagered this year...and having him pretty much guarantee my number would be similar.

Last 90 Days ----> over $41,000 in wagers, up $757 in that span. [laughing]:flushed: Holy **** that adds up quick.

Is that a good ROI if you factor in the almost guaranteed-to-lose risk? Sheesh o_O

Not sure what that means my bookie made off me in "juice", but puts Vegas into (or out of) perspective. Christ.

That is actually damn impressive. Considering in my crew (myself included) we are all trying to just come out even at the end of the night betting the midnight games on the west coast.

I guess I just think in terms of my 'balance', never really thought about the ACTUAL amount wagered....in 3 freaking months.

That's crazy. Of course, how they make money is no secret, but damn. I'm just a little small pu$$y gambol -- Congrats, bookies!

-You sound like Harmon, he *lives* for the West Coast gambol. He's a Mountain West aficionado...not a bad strategy really, to really study one 'lesser' conference in & out for seasons, and just hammer that.

I just like those late night degenerate specials. Have a friend that focused in on the MAC one year, would DVR all the games and ****. Did fairly well. I on the other hand am not near that committed and 98% of the time won't bet a game that isn't on TV for me to watch.

Is there a statute of limitations on that sort of thing? I was under the impression the NCAA just does whatever the hell it wants.
According to the latest iteration of the NCAA's rules, there are three exceptions to the typical four-year statute of limitations — one of which would appear to apply to O'Neal's allegations.

Rule 19.5.11, Article C says that "(a)llegations that indicate a blatant disregard for the Association’s fundamental recruiting, extra-benefit, academic or ethical-conduct regulations or that involve an effort to conceal the occurrence of the violation" are among one of three instances not applicable to the NCAA's four-year statute of limitations.

That would appear to mean that O'Neal's admission, if true, could come back to bite LSU, even 24 years after he left Baton Rouge.

^He obviously will come out and say he's joking soon, but there is your answer.

I can't stay up to even catch the TIPOFF of those games, but enjoy. I use his plays sometimes, but typically just stick with what I know (or think I know).

Correct. The NCAA discards due process and equal protection; ignores precedent, statutes of limitation, and any other protections that its constituents have, and just makes up its own rules on its own whims.

^After reading that, it sounds like sarcasm. But that's exactly how it is.
