Pretzel provided an accurate and authentic explanation of female thinking/behavior. There isn't anything psycho/crazy about it; it's the natural order at work.

TL,DR: Size matters.

- Pat McAfee might be overexposed right now, but I enjoy the hell out of his work, tbh. Also, beyond jealous he got to do his show from Boulder Friday morning and show up with the Rock at Smackdown that night AND administer the people's elbow.
Once you get past the goofy tank top fetish, he's really good at what he does. It's like, I don't want to like him, and I almost always do.

Shorts:

- I remember selling candybars oute of Kroger to make money for uniforms when I was a kid. I feel it’s a small but important lesson. So when I come across a kid out selling stuff to support his teams, I’ll happily buy something. Flash forward to this weekend, I come out of Lowes to a boyscout with his parents selling some kettlekorn. I say “sure I’ll take a bag- how much?”

“Starts at $15 up to $50.”

These are not big bags. I spent $15 for something I could have bought for $4 at Speedway. The boyscouts are greedy MFers.
I completely agree, that the prices are absurd. But you are placing the blame at the wrong feet.
The vendors (that obtain long-term, ironclad, supplier agreements with organizations like the scouts) are the REAL targets here. It's a perfect example of what happens when you take competitive pressure out of the market. The Boy Scouts, etc. MUST buy from that provider, and MUST charge what the provider tells them to. And, on top of that, the margin/wages they get are thinner than a depression era dime.

This is, and I'm just saying, a thought exercise that many folks might want to reflect on, the next time they get to vote/express their political beliefs.

"Maybe fostering an environment that promotes performance and price based competition really DOES provide the best (while not being perfect) goods/service per dollar benefit for EVERYONE, as opposed to letting external forces provide market/price pressure, in a misguided attempt to help."
With respect to helping a scout troop, they will get exponentially more benefit if you just write them a 15 dollar check, because they don't have to send over half of it to Weaver Popcorn Inc.

Received my Packers 2023 Wait List Priority for season tickets letter today. Signed up in about 98 at around #65,000.

Well 25 years later and we’re only waiting on 42,544 more mid westerners to kick the bucket and I can get my tickets.

At this rate I would be about 90+ years old by the time I got tickets.

10 games to go and the Redlegs are tied for the 3rd wild card spot, now a half game out of the 2nd.

Oh well. At least they kept it interesting for a while. Time for football season!!!
Apparently not interesting enough, as they didn't come close to filling half the yard for a ball club that's won 6 of 8 and starting their second-to-last home series. Fun team but seemed like a ho-hum night at the park in June rather than a season on the brink of a post season bid.

Made for cheap premium seats to snag though.

Saw the race this weekend, didn't know he was from Louisville. Pretty wild that he was 20+ seconds off just the Kentucky state record as a Senior and now he's the fastest mile runner in American history.
The comments from the guy that set the pace in the race were great. The winner ran the 3rd fastest time in history.

Ingebrigtsen led the rest of the race and won in 3:43.73, becoming the third-fastest miler in history.

The world record of 3:43.13, held by Hicham El Guerrouj of Morocco, dates back to a race in Rome in July 1999. Noah Ngeny of Kenya ran 3:43.40 in the same race.

Ingebrigtsen brushed off suggestions that he just missed the world record. “No, it’s not ‘just,’” he said. “It’s quite a margin.”

Former UK professor and athlete Mark Nenow ran the fastest 10k ever (but not a world record) at the Crescent City Classic in 1984 wearing a Todd’s Road Stumblers singlet. Have several friends involved with the race who still talk about that day on a regular basis.

He still holds the Bluegrass 10,000 record from 1983 (29:14)

I disagree. I've taken a 3 year old to Disney before. Cute factor overload. Plus, she was so sweet. That same 3-year old went this year (11 years later) as a 14-year old and she acted at times like, well, a 14 year old. But sure, she remembered it well!

-Grandad would buy a full case of those "Worlds Finest Chocolate" bars from each and every kid who asked. Basically had a lifetime supply as a kid.

My sister passed suddenly last night to what seems to have been a stroke. There is a 22 year gap between us and she was always more like an aunt to me growing up.

Sadly I’m experienced at how to handle it and helping so my nephews don’t have to worry about it like I did with my folks that ended up straining relationships because money got involved.

She had retired 3 months ago and had a small surgery she had just completed rehab for in the last week.

Devastated

-Man that’s rough brother, sorry.

And I feel you on this. It’s crazy how quickly people that you thought you loved and cared about and vice versa change as soon as there’s money out there. Never seen anything like it.

My dads other son lost/losing his lawsuits against me and my lawyer called and said he’s filing more as we speak because of course he is.

Huge reason why I have to gtfoh as he’ll continue to do this as long as I’m within reach.

Touching World Class Loser.

Cleaning and moving furniture around today since pops is with the WV family finally.

Weather is beautiful so probably leave the windows open, grab a sixer, put on some tunes and hang with the dog.

First time at my house without my dad there since I bought it, eerie feel to it.
