Gonna need to call an emergency meeting of the GYERO board of governors and discuss the possibility that we may have gone overboard and built too large a share of our portfolio on Bored Apes. This may impact the opening date for the indoor golf course.

Nothing better than the guy that takes his shirt off and looks like ****, I would actually bet 99% off the time some tool takes his shirt off he is actually not in shape or intimidating.

I think we are going to look back at the early 2020s as the dumbest time to ever be alive. People are/were investing in literal fake money / art, wearing two masks, electing a "reality" TV star and a dementia patient as presidents, et cetera.

Literally everything right now is just stupid.
The fake money (crypto) was absolutely the second dumbest f’ing thing I’ve ever heard - the first being NFT’s. If anyone ever took a banking class they’d know that currency has to be backed by something. Crypto wasn’t. That - in itself - made it worthless. The only true use case for it was illegal purchasing of weapons and drugs.

I’ll take crypto over a cashless society, that idea is about as stupid as it gets unless you’re a fan of the govt knowing where you spend every single dollar. I’m am 100% hard pass on that idea.

Guess @wcc31 was onto something, saw Jason Kelce confirmed T and Travis Kelce are “dating” but her people are saying they’re friends.

Big if true, if she starts digging meatheads then I’ll finally get my shot at her.

She is definitely the winner here. He can do much, much, better, but maybe he likes nut jobs w/ sticks and twigs.

Crazy thought, but different dudes like different things. I love tiny boobs which is sacrilege to some guys. I also like muscular chicks which plenty dudes think is gross.

He has a kid so I’d say she’s the one losing, imo. Plus, she has a metric f**kton more money than him. She makes per show what he makes per season.

Listened to a podcast with Keegan Bradley this morning (foreplay pod- which is usually pretty mediocre), talking about being the odd man out of the Ryder Cup team... the story of how he found out was brutal. Obviously, Netflix is filming a second season of their PGA show- and the morning that Zach Johnson was notifying the captain's picks- Bradley said he got a phone call from a Netflix producer that said "hey man we have a camera crew about to pull in your driveway you need to let them in"... Bradley said that was the first time he let himself think that he'd made the team... why else would they send a film crew in if it wasn't to record his conversation with Johnson about him making the squad? Well he found out 10 minutes later on the phone that they wanted to record his reaction to *not* making the team. Hearing him describe it made me sick to my stomach.

He also talked a little bit about how he's never really been good friends with a lot of the players that were coming up at the same time... he mentioned he was always a bit behind them as far as recognition- he's an NE guy and not connected to the Georgia/Southeast group, or the west coast guys. And when he got on tour he said he'd basically come from modest upbringing and he was just trying to win as much money as he could bc he didnt know if he'd even be on the tour from year to year. That took priority over relationships with other players and hes kind of been an outsider ever since.

Made me feel for the guy until he mentioned a few times that hes just been casually hanging out at the Grove, taking it easy and playing the occasional 9 holes while the season unwinds.

Different strokes....and he has $50M+....not Tay money, but I seriously doubt he cares, nor should he.

And when did kids become a negative? She is 33, so her window of pushing one out is very narrow without risk factors coming into play, fwiw.

Last night I dropped the boys off at church for youth group and got my weekly chick fil a drive thru dinner. Took it back to the church parking lot to eat before my 20m drive home. Apparently my wife thought that was the most outrageous and bizarre thing of all time. Wtf are you doing ??? Why wouldn’t you just bring it home?? Uh, bc I wanted to enjoy a few quiet minutes of my day before I lie in bed and think about the unstopping March of time and contemplate my mortality until the 8mg of melatonin kicks in and I go into a coma until I start this ride again tomorrow morning. Yeah. Mostly that. Wanted to enjoy my grilled nuggets and Mac and cheese.

Enjoying Wrestlers. The seizure was tough to watch. Reminded me of some of my dads seizures. He had a brain tumor and was not allowed to drive for most of his life after the diagnosis. I’m sure Mags has done his due diligence bc that was the first thing I thought of seeing that, but he’s never mentioned any driving limits. And actually per his radio show he insists on driving everywhere they go? Kinda concerning? ITS PRONOUNCED PARA-GWHY RYAN, YOU STUPID PIECE OF ****

I've not finished the doc yet, but my take on Wrestlers is that it's just pure sadness. It's one of the most depressing things I've ever seen.

I think Matt means well and tries to give Kentucky the shine it deserves, but it still comes across as exploitative. The common folk once again are nothing more than poor, uneducated caricatures while Matt is elevated way above all of that. I'm not necessarily saying that is his intent, but that's how it comes across.

The weird thing is, I haven't seen Matt as the villain people think he's portrayed as. He's been right when he's had to deal with those carnies. They would do well to take his advice when it comes to marketing to an audience. I've stopped at the seizure episode. I was aware that he had that condition, but it was so tough to watch. If he's still the "bad guy" after that, it must be a tough crowd.

I too found it to be rather sad. Those wrestlers reminded me of when I was a young kid and was convinced that I was going to be the starting shortstop for the Chicago Cubs. The whole scene seemed rather depressing and the crowds were portrayed as a bunch of redneck hillbillies, in podunk little towns, with absolutely nothing better to do on a Saturday night. It all seemed to feed into the typical stereotype of the people in KY.

Also haven't finished. I can't watch more than an episode at a time. I'm not exactly sure why, but I feel icky after watching. I guess it's the exploitative nature of the show and the depressing state that many of the characters exist in.

I've made it past the seizure, which was very tough to watch. Matt is no longer a villain after that. The next ep turns it around for ol Mags. Also, Mahabali Shera is as likeable a character as there can be.

I understand why Matt tried to merge his two big worlds together, but I can't say the doc makes the BBN look great either. To the outsider, we're simply lumped in with rasslin riff raff they're gawking at, and easily suckered out of our money if you put a heel in a UL t-shirt.

Every time they showed a member of the crowd with no teeth, clear physical handicaps, just a fat unwashed general mess, etc I actually laughed. Then I realized I can open Facebook and half my family looks like that and I connected a little better with it.

I mean, it's filmed in KY but don't project all of the "rassling riff-raff" on our own stereotypes. WWE and UFC just merged in a $21B deal and you could argue that at least some of the clientele are just like the OVW crowd, perhaps with more disposable income. I guess you could make the same analogies with dirt track racing vs Nascar, little league parents vs pro league audiences, etc.

Point being, a bunch of people somewhere beyond KY are watching wrestling and maybe that's what OVW is trying to grow into. I'm sure the doc will help with that at least in the short term.

Unpopular Takes Ahead!!!!!

-There’s nothing wrong with kids @cole854 IF you want them. I don’t and there’s no way I’d date a girl with a kid (if she’s a ten we can talk) especially if the father was still in the picture. Not trying to deal with paying for a child that’s not mine (that’s a discussion as well if I really liked the kid because I’m happy to help my boys out with their kids fundraisers and whatnot) or have her child’s father forever being around, just not for me.

Good on those that do want to help in that scenario, I’m a selfish mothertoucher like Terrance Jones and don’t want to do that.

-I really liked Wrestlers. If you’re not happy about the portrayal of Kentuckians well that’s the state we’re from gang and that’s what this state is made up of, we’re pretty poor, fat and ugly to be honest.

Like Matt said, thank God for Mississippi because it’s true.

It’s okay, that’s our state, why try to pretend it’s not because the groups you run around with have dental access, gym memberships and disposable money? That’s not the majority.

Didn’t feel like the crowds there to support OVW had anything to do with BBN other than it was an idea to use to create a crowd buzz.

That said it’s a general use of all wrestlers during a promo to crap on local teams if their a bad guy(heel) or use it to pump the crowd up if their a good guy(face).

So it’s a typical thing really and effective when the wrestler has the mic skills to work it.

Slow day during football season when that’s the topic of conversation for the duration of a day.

Entertain me damn it!

I don’t know, maybe it’s just me. I don’t like it when the place I grew up in and love is negatively portrayed by reinforcing the negative stereotypes others have placed on it. It bothers me.

Then again, I’m not a delusional, narcissistic *******.
KY is 3rd in obesity, 2nd in smoking and 7th in welfare. It’s not a “portrayal”.

The larger half my family is from Ceredo, WV (exit one after you cross the River from Ashland, it’s all the same people, we hail from the same area man, Appalachia) and I’m from Maysville. It’s not like I’m not putting my own family in those groups.

Sorry you don’t like the fact what I said is true. Also, it’s what 80% of the country already thinks so what’s it matter? Did you expect lawyers in three piece suits smoking cigars and drinking high end bourbon?

Some of y'all aren't familiar with wrestling's sordid history and target audience and it shows.*

* I haven't watched the doc yet but if it wasn't full of absolute trashballs, I would have been shocked. Wrassling is a dirty business.
