This would be a great time for @80 Proof to chime in on the construction process at CWS. Wish he would have toured the place. It actually is the area that he probably knows several people involved and knows WTF he's talking about.
Yeah, it's actually pretty crazy how fast a construction project can go from war zone to done. Recruiting room and suites were all working on drywall which means they're not far off. The concourses are what worried me.

Didn't see 80's response. He nailed it.

checked out Homearama last night. Nice houses, only #4 was a showstopper. The bit white one with 12+ ft ceilings is horribly overrated and waste of space. but man, talk about a show that fits right into ThingsWhiteFolksLike.
So much east end whiteness, privilege, and pretentiousness on display.

Conference taking place in town. Took drunk last night at two of downtown Louisville's hottest spots: 8UP and Garage Bar.

8UP is pretty dope, actually. Cool perspective on the provincial river town's humble skyline. Some talent in there, as well. Need to go back on a Friday or Saturday. Garage Bar is whatever, per usual.

Doing it again tonight starting at Ruby's. [cheers]

Heard nightmares about 8UP on a "happening night". Sounds like somewhere you'd hate, to be honest...Velvet Ropes, Doormen, Covers, $18 cocktails, DBags galore, etc.

...can see it being pretty cool early on, or on a weeknight for cocktails & appys w/ the space/views.

Was actually getting ready post about our annual corporate summit. This year in the fine city of Cincinnati.

Any suggestions on outings for a crew of 10-12 people? Going to a Reds game one night and dinner is pretty firm already. Last year in Lex we hit up a distillery tour and then a few brewery tours. This will be in mid-September.

I do have Kevlar vests for all participants on order so that is taken care of. Also bottled water to drink so they don't get scurvy.

I'd suggest (with links):

- What weekend? May be Oktoberfest.

- Residence Inn's Rooftop Bar. Southeast downtown.

- Taft Ale House. OTR. Formerly an old church. My favorite beer/brewery in Cincinnati and cool layout.

I don't really care if the stadium is completely done or not, as long as its nothing embarrassing. What bothers me is the fact we all KNEW that it wouldn't be completed by its deadline. Why? Because Mitch had his hands on it. The guy isn't very good, that's all there is to it.

Shorts:

- If I could go low 80s, low humidity all summer like it has been the last two days, July/August wouldn't be my two least favorite months of the year. Amazing outside.

- Talent errwhere downtown at lunch today. Trying to get my peeks in.

- Shaving my head (going with a 1 every few days PTI-style) was the best move I've ever made. Had been wanting to do it for years, especially in the summer, but always pussed out. It's easy. It feels good. I can age gracefully. And I even love the look. Only thing that sucked was that first burn. Peeled for like 10 days. After that, smooth sailing.

- I'm no foodie o'course, but the mere mention of Ruby's gets me salivating.

- Lass is out of town for a bachelorette party at her prep school friend's house at Lake George in Maine. Can't even imagine what this place looks like- it will be sleeping 20 girls comfortably, apparently. Anyway, love hanging out with her but I'm pumped she's away this weekend. I can't wait to do nothing. I really don't know how you marrieds do it.

Odds every girl brings their own hairdryer and/or straightener then leaves them plugged in and strewn about the house: over.

They literally had a specific check-list of things to bring.

Last bachelor party I was on, the only thing everyone brought was Jim Beam.

You are an idiot. Why would you do that?

You had another 3-4 years of decent lettuce left.

It's gone now, pal and it ain't coming back.

What a waste.

Actually like the shaved head on Chad. Good for you.

Sometime try going straight razor bald. The sensation of after shave on your fresh dome is exhilarating. IMO. Lot of work though.

I have no intentions of going razor-bald anytime soon. It's thinning but I still do have hair left on top at this point.

Other Guarandamntees:

-They'll get their drunkest the first night and then mope around the rest of the weekend in their PJ's.
-A TON of wasted food.
-ZERO hot lesbian action.
-One or two girls are devastated that they weren't invited ("...but they didn't even bother with coming to my parent's shower, so I just figured they weren't even interested.")
-They'll successfully complete a task that is typically a man's responsibility (build a fire, grill, fill a gas tank) and post something on facebook celebrating the feat.
-TEARS.
-Memories will undoubtedly not be made.
-There are 20 men back home who will actually have better weekends.
-The cabin will be "fine, but not really what I was expecting..."

Rinse --> Repeat.

I've still got most of my hair, but my beard is getting white as hell. My 5 o'clock shadow looks more like a dusting of snow. Only real gray in my hair though is my sideburns.

God had to even things out so he made short (well, compared to everyone but Adrian who I have an inch or two on). If I was 6', I'd be dangerous.

Only embarrassing part for me shaving my head was being an albino for the first week or so. Shew wee that thing glowed in the dark.

My olive ways took care of that rather quickly, but still.

Never forget it...chugged a bottle of dessert wine (only thing I could find, surprisingly), took a clipper, and ran it down the middle of my head quickly, so no turning back...finished her up timidly, then grabbed the razor.

...went out to Bahama Breeze that Thursday night, got it rubbed about 20 times by the standard cougars that roamed the place, and then made out with one in her car for the nightcap and received a favor. From that point on, I was fine.

-Did Chad always big his tongue with his teeth for pictures, or is that just a new thing that replaced the head cock?

Same here. I actually have a cleanly shaved face right now.

I'm gonna grow back some facial hair though, because my wife likes it better. Plus, right now when I look in the mirror I remind myself of BBdK and punch myself in the face.

Just won Athletic Director of the year, our past 3 Director Cup rankings blow away anything prior to that, our basketball team and bell cow is having the best 5 year run in the history of the program(debatable but close), football facilities are getting a 200+ million dollar self funded upgrade and the athletic department is in great financial health.

I know he hasn't bankrupt a city with an arena project, hired back a backstabbing coach or backed up another that caused a major black eye for the university but that's pretty damn solid.

Speaking of that era, pretty confident I had (have??) an Ashley Madison account, along with AdultFriendFinder, Swappernet, Yahoo Personals, Match, MySpace, LouisvilloMojo, Lycos Personals, Excite Personals, -- basically anything that existed in that fun little genre.

Never made actual profiles for Ashley or AFF, mainly just to scour...remember it being mostly 'bots' and never actually had (or attempted) any success on those two. Those are the ONLY two, though. [smoke]

Be curious to see if my name pops up here in a few weeks in the papers. May be worth firing up the ole Yahoo email account that still gets a yearly scroll through the saved archives. Man, some good stuff buried in there...

My wife hates my beard, but I haven't had a full beard since April. I've been going with the scruffy look some this summer. I hate shaving every damned day. Just been running the trimmer over it and knocking it back a few times a week. I don't have the 'olive' factor so the beard works great in the winter to cover up my pasty white face. Just sucks that hipsters are trying to claim facial hair from the rest of us.

Max, your boy Fulgsang got run over by a motorbike on the ascent today. He was not happy. Funny when these little skinny dudes get pissy.

BBdk's boy TJ quit yesterday.

Among the 8,000 things I hate on Facebook are the EPIC birthday/anniversary wishes. "5 years ago I married my best friend...God has blessed us in so many ways, and I look forward to where this amazing journey called life leads us..." Amazing how many people married their best friend. My best friend was a dude. Even if I was so inclined, such marriages were illegal back then. Also, the same with birthdays, "I cannot believe that 18 years ago, God blessed us with a child so perfect. It's amazing the beautiful woman you've turned into, inside and out. I'm sure He continues to have incredible plans for you." I mean, how about a simple goddamn "Happy Birthday!"? My BIL/SIL are notorious for this gag-inducing crap.

Also, it's been a while, but today I had one of those "Well friends, I've decided that it is time for me to deactivate my Facebook account. It's been great interacting with you for so long on here friends...." RIght. *****, people come back 100% of the time. See you Saturday.

I do enjoy puppy videos, and news stories where I can troll stupid people though.
