Remember when Cal organized the UK pros vs Dominican National at YUM in 2011?

Right after TicketMaster announced the presale for the event there was this outrage by UL fans and right on cue Cal released a statement saying that they tried to book the game at Freedom Hall but there was a scheduling conflict and YUM just so happened to be available.

He then honored Denny Crum pby having him sit on the Dominican bench.

One of the biggest troll moves ever by Cal.

Also, according to Ennis UofL really won last year's game by 19. Defensive scores don't count.

So... really nothing to be excited about this season in Lexington. FYI.

Hard to gauge how much the stadium and facility upgrades are helping with recruiting, but I'd imagine it's significant.
It's huge. It's the new thing. That's why every single program has cranes or upgrades going on every single year. The practice facility is the new thing. Why do you think Brooks, the most practical coach ever, was so pissed about not having a recruiting room? Also why part of the agreement with Stoops was the facility upgrades.

Brings players in and keeps coaches happy. Read Korems stuff on the practice facility. For all accounts that dude has been offered tons of jobs all over the place and he's stuck here b/c we're building him a playhouse. Hopefully soon as the practice fields are done they move right on to the next thing.

Recruits don't give a **** about fixing the plumbing, they want bells and whistles.

Rowland and others saying that tomorrow could be a "HUGE day" for UK football recruiting. Gotta be the Willis kid from Lexington, right? I'm like Chad, early FB commitments are about as flimsy as they come in the recruiting world, but it's still great to have this kind of roll heading into the season.
He said it's not Wills. It's Jermaine Eskridge, 5* WR out of Florida.

I dont even recall the UL media guys name but one of my first twitter blockings was a result of him saying that Towles (the week he committed to UK) would never be a college quarterback because he had mechanical issues that he couldnt overcome. For some reason I lost it on him. Really set me off. So I need a win vs UL to somehow justify that day of my life.

North Lime way overrated. Like most new hipster things these days, they're all about social media presence and "atmosphere". They forgot to learn how to make donuts good. Have no idea how they make em, but they are generally too thick and dry. Way too big, first of all...can't get a good topping to dough ratio....this list goes on and on. Lot more to it than just creating some wild and crazy flavors. Hipsters with a weak donut game might fall for that, but all the real donut heads are picking up a quick dozen down at Donut Days where the pastries are so fresh and consistent. Been doing it for years. Perfect little neighborhood bakery.

Anybody who eats 2-3 per year should not be trusted. I eat that many in one donut sundae.

Lefkoe. He discerned that Towles had a hitch in his throwing technique. Everyone else missed it, per Lefkoe.

I'm interested to see what Cal does with the 2016 guards...does he take Monk, Fultz, and Bridges? I get his "positionless basketball" thing, but you still need a true point.

Fultz and SKJ are going to be our fall signees.

Weird that since 2003 in football, UL won 4 straight, then UK 4 straight and now UL back with 4 straight. Series is now in UK's favor 14-13, so i'd say this year would be a very sweet W.

- Every city has some hole-inartisan bakery. We have Holtmans in OTR and ITS THE BEST EVER!!!

- Well, when you have Ulis, you can take two SGs and sell them on also having a chance to play some PG, because, as we all know, every wing wants to be a PG and every big wants to be a wing. So, take Fultz and still throw the kitchen sink at Monk, who being somewhat undersized will have a rager thinking he'll also get some run at the PG playing for the PG Whisperer, John F'ing Calipari, the dude who groomed Rose, Wall, Bledsoe, Knight, Harrison, Briscoe and Murray. Plus, Arkansas will be awful this year.

- If I had to guess at this point...

Fultz
Monk
Bridges
SKJ
Ayton

Morgan Newton is my most hated UK player of all time, and I was on it early.

I GOT BASHED ON HERE!!!!!!, but sometimes you just don't need to "give him time, he's a freshman or whatever playing in the SEC". Never has it been more clear than with that *****, imo.

Showkiller also said the rough is as high and thick as its ever been, so he's looking for some higher scores than we've seen in a while. Really looking forward to the extry rough, myself. Really makes the round special when you've got triples and chiggers all over the place.

Have to think Barker will play some this year. Really, he should play if the staff has any desire to develop him at all.

And I don't hate the kid, just wish he'd stop being a knucklehead.

Regardless of him ever playing, he held that class together masterfully. Cut out the knucklehead BS and get focused. One snap from being a starter in the SEC, kid.

The great thing about North Lime's glazed donuts is they're actually thick and filling. I go maybe 1 Saturday a month if one of the specials catches my attention, the Maple Bacon is one of the best things I've ever had.
I'm all about saving money but if you like donuts and only go when they have specials seems odd. Hope you put that .50 or $1 you saved to good use.

Ennis is the worst person ever by far and it's not close.

He tries so hard to get people to think he's above the fray but he's so far below the fray he can't even see it LOL IMO.

What I don't get - There's a group of UK fans who buddy up to him on the twitter (btcoop, couchdad, and so forth) and go so far as to be openly hostile to the KSR guys, me, etc. Those self-loathing d-bags are the absolute worst. Plus, they all live in apartments. There's nothing wrong with living in an apartment with your kids but it should preclude you from acting superior.

We were saying the same thing about Towles this time last year.

Make us believe Drew.

Towles never had any off the field incidents, by all accounts he's a great kid, he just wasn't pushing himself 100%.

It was tough to hate on Newton early on. The guy(with the help of Pa-Paw, Cobb and Locke) went into Athens and Auburn, as a freshman, and won.

I rarely if ever get on Twitter, but every time I do I see that GregNJ and CMD guy sucking each other off about something, prime example Murray. Apparently, they predicted great things for Murray just weeks before Pan-Am. No ****??? How could they have foreseen such greatness?

I go when there's a specialty donut I think sounds good, not when they have a special price. Thanks for concern though.

Yeah Towles wasn't a PR disaster, he was a 4* recruit that wasn't living up to the billing. But he fixed it, hopefully Drew will too.

Don't forget @tgh3316

Greg still brags almost daily about being "all over Towns." Never mind that he was #2 on virtually EVERY draft board before the season even started. He's awful.

the entire #BBN was in a funk for months after the Wisconsin game. Then, Kash Daniels happens at the beginning of July. He started a big boost for all UK sports, coaches, fans IMO. Cal seemingly regained his swagger right around that time.

kid's always going to hold a special place in my heart for turning around the 2015 fan mindset

Re: UNC vs ??? Your single most memorable play by a Tar Heel
Yesterday at 2:21 PM

The David Noel dunk against UK at Rupp. That win against a top ten team w/ the group we had....wow.

[laughing]
David Noel in a December game at Rupp.

Of course, everyone else is MJ, Phil Ford, Perkins, Tyler, Donald Williams, NCAAT plays, etc.

He really is pathetic in every aspect...
