* Doc, glad everything turned out ok. Scary, man.

* Pretty perfect non-sports day yesterday...

Church, Frisch's breakfast bar, the biggest & best outdoor pond store in the area, 30 mile bike ride, grilled myself a steak and played with the kids.

* You koi pond haters will be happy to know that I added some blue shade to the water to help stunt the algae growth and accidentally turned it into the Blue Lagoon. However it looks very pretty with the fuscia blooms on the water lilly and the bright blue flowers of the forget-me-nots in the shallow end.

* Bummed we didn't have a Spring Game this year with all of the other SEC teams being shown on SECN all week. Ready for the season to kick off.

* Ava's first day of kindergarten tomorrow. Time flies, kiddos. It seems like just yesterday I was deciding if I should drop Dr. Hotbody for Marge. Best decision I ever made.

* I'm not BBdKrazy for Compton, but I've listened to it 3 or 4 times. I dig it. The Diary song is my favorite.

Stick with Ben Revere & the DLeague, Will.

Brian Bosworth once filed a restraining order against the NFL in an attempt to wear the No. 44 as a rookie with the Seattle Seahawks in 1987. Bosworth eventually lost the fight and had to switch numbers to No. 55 for the remainder of his NFL career.

If Bosworth was playing in the NFL in 2015, he would have been allowed to keep his coveted No. 44.

The NFL Competition Committee passed a rule at the league meetings allowing linebackers to wear jersey numbers in the 40s for the first time. The reason given for the change was the shortage of available numbers for linebackers.

Not sure why Naked and Afraid needs to be scripted...

- You have one hot person and one ugly person, naked, for 28 days.

- One is a psycho survivalist conservative like Adam, the other is a psycho liberal hippy.

- You put them in the harshest climates on Earth.

- You basically take away everything except a machete and a fire starter (except that one idiot who brought a magnifying glass).

- They starve and dehydrate e very second.

I mean, the fireworks should come pretty organically.

Nope, NFL and college are exactly the same thing actually. Same teams, same players, same rules & governing body, same everything.

Reason #874 I hate Sportswriters:

Was watching ATH last week talking about Aldon Smith being released by the Niners for his- what- 10th arrest/issue? And these a-holes are speaking in almost hushed tones about how horrible this is and how Smith needs to get help and all this other PC mumbojumbo.

Umm, no. Smith doesn't need to get help. He needs to stop being a loser POS. Since when can you not just call someone out for being a privileged F-up? You need help to NOT get DUIs?

Glad to be of help, Chad.

NFL must be different than college. We've had LB here with goofy numbers back to Snedegar.

No ****, Will. How have you not picked this up by now?

In college, you can wear ANY number. QBs can wear #s in the 20s. DEs can wear single-digits. Anything goes.

BUT in the NFL FOREVER, it's not like that.

Learn NFL.

- Those sportswriters are going to need some serious PT after patting themselves on the back for doing the Lord's work and calling out that AD. Great effort guys.

- 3-11 shift on OB this week

PRO: less work, more independence, sleep in, get real world ish done, hit gym at 11:15, maybe even get a little studying done at night, more GYEROing

CON: won't see the wife much.

- Got accepted to present a couple cases at our national conference in San MF'N Diego in October. Woot. It's the week after Auburn-MM weekend, so if I can somehow swing both of those. Eeeek.

- Hazelnut is the only "flavor" of coffee I respect. Otherwise, just black please.

- Has never had a cake pop.

- I actually like Ballers, probably because I only started it after hearing how awful it was. Zero expectations.

- Last night threw a nice 1.2 lb, 1.5" ribeye on the grill with three skewers of gorgeous shrimp. Had a Knob Creek in hand, sitting outside with the pup enjoying the sweet sounds of Outkast. Perfection.

- the Serious Eats site is the tits. Fo real.

Love Dre's beats and original sounds, but he's always had great rappers with him to do the vocal work. Eazy E, Ice Cube, and Snoop are 3 of the best rappers ever. Doesn't bother me at all that Dre's vocals aren't featured much in the new work...his vocals never have been featured. Not his thing.

Bored after golf on Saturday (42/35), so we went down and did the tour at Copper & Kings. Really cool place & project going on down there.

Sampled a few Brandys & Absinthes (130 Proof). Pretty much hate absinthe, and the mature Brandy wasn't for me either. But they have an 'Immature' clear Brandy that come in at about 90 proof and is perfect with Tonic & other cocktails.

They age their product in local barrels from Woodford, Knob Creek, and several others.

Have a special Gin coming out in a few weeks. Decent way to spend a random hour...

http://www.copperandkings.com/

Hit up Clifton Pizza after that...first time in maybe 14-15 years when I first got here. Place is dope.

*Almost* stopped by the St. Joe's picnic after that, but got irritated with the traffic zoo on Frankfort. Never been, place looks huge though. Can you gambol and win actual money, or just silly prizes or whatever? I'd guess that one has to be the biggest Catholic Picnic in the state, no?

-Club Championship this weekend. Game is seeming to expire for the year...plan is to shoot my usual 155-160 and put the clubs up for the year per usual (except for the random scramble).

Speaking of that, KSR scramble coming up in a few weeks. May need 1 more ringer to fill out my squad, who should have as good of a chance as anyone to win this thing....any out there lurking?

VIP Tom (+2 ghin), ABH, and I.

Exactly, but Dre rapped as much/more on this one as he has any of them...

...half the time you don't even know it's him at first. May need to listen closer. I guess dropping all that weight has changed his voice significantly, b/c he hardly even sounds like Dre on most of them.

Thing is just so nice, though. Pretty much all the way through...which never happens anymore. It's a gift, enjoy it. :sunglasses:

Dre definitely picked up some new flows the last 16 years.

The best is The Game. That psycho flipped it and ripped it.

Not sure I've ever heard a first season of any show hyped more than True Detective.

Not sure I've ever heard a 2nd season of a show ripped more than True Detective.

Never seen, but it's gone from topping my 'must see' list to 'meh' based on the outrage. Wonder if it will be addressed at the next Political Debate?

Watch the first season, don't watch the second. Pretty simple.

Totally different cast, totally different stories. The second season had 14 minutes an episode of overhead landscape transitions and at least 30 minutes of two people sitting silently beside each other, fingering a cigarette, looking distantly at something else, with a slight grimace on their faces.

St Joes picnic is a complete disaster. WAYYY too many people. Took nearly thirty min to get beer tickets then you have to go stand in the beer line that was probably 40 people deep.

You would have to get there at 6pm to even get a spot on any of the gambol tables(yes you can win money).

The parking is another animal .....had to park probably half mile away.

Yeah, those are the exact visions I had of the place when passing by, sounds like I made the correct call.

The promos for season 2 always showed the main characters standing in a circle brooding and staring at each other pensively while dark music played. What they didn't tell you is that all eight episodes would basically just be that as well. The first season though, while not perfect, was definitely a masterpiece.

[laughing] at Anth testing out his new Vacuum sealer this weekend on a bag of chips...how'd that work out?

...just use the regular 'seal' button next time on something like that bub.

Maybe you can use the finished product to coat a Turbot or something.

That was holarius, bbdk. I think I even said, should we just use the seal and he kept letting it squish the chips. We used it on a bunch of stuff yesterday. Do you all have the wine attachment?

Lol, I almost had to pull over I was laughing so hard...an hour before she got the text she completely smashed/ruined two fresh Potato Buns I'd gotten that morning from Lucky's Bakery for this weeks bison burgers. [eyeroll] Looked like stale pancakes after she was through smashing & sucking the air out of them, hard as a rock.

Thing is awesome, though. I pretty much look for things to seal/vacuum now. :)

Ours came with the vacuum tube that can be used with their Canister/Bottle/and other products they offer, is that what you mean? You could probably feeze your milk doggy.

My little cousin just had 15 strikeouts in Kentucky's first game of the Great Lakes Regional for the LLWS. Seems like its been a while since the Kentucky team made it to Williamsport.

Just when I begin to get excited about Fall Sports the NFL comes along, takes over, and kills my vibe.

According to Wikipedia the Great Lakes Regional started in 2001 and Kentucky has won 5. Kentucky does have the most though so you at least got that part right.
