GYERO has a really good % of people I consider friends. I can't think of many I've met from here I don't, actually.

Pssshht... PTI hadn't slept in 48 hours and couldn't speak. Anth was the hottest name around these parts in 2005.

NKYers,

Next time you're dragged to Northside. Check out my buddy's new bar, Northside Yacht Club. They did a nice job sprucing it up and I designed all of the new stuff.

It's Nautical-Steampunk-Tiki-Hispter-Chic. You will love it, Richie.

Joey,

We down here in Louisville are busting with the seems on the whole Whiskey Chic movement. Talking hipsters dressed as railroad conductors during the Gold Rush, arm sleeved mixologists muddling away, and a honky tonk buzz meets Tex Mex So Cal cool combined with a Whiskey Gentry revival.

Can only handle so much Hipster Chic. Don't know if I'm ready for Nautical Chic.

OK, I saw a jeep with a YETI sticker on it yesterday. Someone on here had made a comment about a YETI bumper sticker one time and I thought they were joking.

I understand the appeal of YETI coolers. If I had more expendable income, or went on more multi-day hunting or fishing trips I'd buy one. Hell, I'm ordering a custom YETI tumbler.

But what kind of douchebag needs to announce to the world that he owns a YETI cooler by placing a sticker on his touching car?

I don't get it.

Same type of douche bag that puts "SALT LIFE!!!" on his daggum F150 that resides in landlocked KY. Drives me up a damn wall. And take your f'n Costa sticker off, too, loser.

The worst thing about the YETI craze is that now I can't wear any of my gear celebrating the beauty and majesty of the real Yeti without looking like a sellout. Guess it's NESS LIFE only from now on. :(

"Yes, I believe these fellow motorists will appreciate my cooler endorsement. Also my intense hatred of Fords, which is symbolized by a beloved cartoon character urinating on the Ford corporate logo. That one's a bit subtle, but I'm betting there will be a few appreciative nods here and there."

UK turned Ovids into the largest Starbucks in the state, and largest campus Starbucks in all the land.

1. Spicy
2. Beef
3. Wrap

Where it at?

Back in '37, you parked it outside of the second story window.

I'd say the kitsch is pretty demure - all things considered. (Although, there is a pile of sand and a lifeguard chair set up in front of their signage mural on the corner.)

Per my suggestion, they are also painting a helipad symbol on the rooftop patio. But, to me, that to falls under "whimsy," not "kitsch."

The soft open clientele were definitely on the hipster side, so it was fun to pop in after a day at the office and be regarded as the adult in the room.

Northside is where the real artsy weirdos (which is fine) hang out in Cincinnati. The people in OTR are just trendy posers.

Spicy Beef Wrap was the lifeblood of GDI's. An endorsement pretty much told me all I needed to know.

No thanks, bro.

Love that little synth that creeps in, then rides out at the end on "For the Love of Money". Those kinds of little surprises are what separates the man.

Wish he'd shown off more by letting the instrumentals ride out on more songs rather than bringing in dialogue/skits/etc...but he pretty much invented that, too, so I guess I get it.

Was Fall '98, and had my choice among several bids, as did any other cool cat.

Probably worth noting that SAE was kicked off campus at the time, and justifiably so. Still went to their "underground" rush or whatever. LOL.

Aside from that, I'll leave the Greek humping to the 30 something poster with his fraternity in his handle.
