What Louisville fans never understood is just playing GOOD or at least decent/capable teams week in and week out is a grind, never mind an SEC schedule.

Petrino is 9-7 this time around, and inherited a pretty loaded roster. Funny what happens when you aren't favored by 27 in 80% of your games.

Ugh, so Jason Day was -10 on Thursday, with a hole to play still this morning for a shot at 59? (Edit: He parred for a smooth 61, sigh)

You don't have to take anything away from Spieth's amazing year to conclude that Day is the best player in the world right NOW. Is it close? Good grief. I still doubt it happens, but the fact that he's now in the conversation for POY with what Spieth did is pretty damn incredible.
Yep. He has been since May. If he isn't falling down and struggling in the USOpen he very well could have 2 majors this year. He's a lock for 16 majors, right?

Quick has an ankle injury. I'm still hopeful for Hatcher. Guy has all of the ability in the world. Of course I would love to see Lloyd Tubman coming off the end to rip someone's head off tomorrow, but I digress.

He was retweeting a bunch of tweets saying that he should have been QB1 and playing rather than Bolin. Which is BS. They weren't running on Clemson.
Hacked, per Jody Demling, per Jurich. Really are some cyber security issues with UofL and its athletes.

Petrino - by his own admission - used to spend all spring, summer, and fall gameplanning for UK. Must be a ***** to not have that luxury anymore.

-Ha. Of course. Even though a beat writer was posting about Jackson playing on his phone during the post game. So he got hacked and just retweeted stuff. No crazy statements? Just some retweets and favorites. Gotcha. Puppets.

-Boils down to Petrino having a capable QB and that QB having a little, not much, time. Nice young skill players but they still need someone to toss the ball and they don't get to rest their legs for 40% of the season. @NCST @FSU BC and @UK still on tap.

I don't see how a running QB works in Petrino's system. Really no idea why that guy would even go to UL. I know he's got a cannon but for Petrino ball accuracy is way more important.

Will be interesting to see how they handle Petrino when he's not clubbing baby seals. Grantham will probably take most of the heat.

Also interesting that Tomma sidestepped the Texas question. IIRC in the past he's flat out made a spectacle of turning jobs down. Q: "Are you interested in Texas?" A:"The grass is pretty green here in Louisville."
^That wouldn't have me feeling warm and fuzzy if I was a mock neck disciple.

-UK was in a pretty tough situation. 5 years ago Tubman probably gets back on the team but with the recent athletes vs domestic abuse, rape, etc they probably did the correct thing. Sucks, for Tubman for sure as it sounds like he got the wrath of a crazy *****.

- Think I've said this before- am I drunk or does Dabo and Sloot's cousin Travis look alike?

- I hear all the time from national media how underrated Pat Towles is, and I just don't get it. Love the kid but I don't see it. Is it because he looks the part of a bigtime QB?

Dabo may actually BE Travis. As many places as he is at one time seemingly, don't see why he couldn't pull off the HC at Clemson as well?

The current creepiest doppelganger out there is The Points Guy. Seems like just yesterday he was asking if Shaving Cream Really worked, and now he travels the world 340 days per year for free. Happy for you, Will!

* Saw some pre-Auburn articles implying that BOBBY started prepping for the Auburn game in spring practice and "BOBBY never loses when he has that much time to prepare..." That probably led in some part to the Houston loss.

* Hadn't seen that quote from TOMMY. Sounds a bit like he's leveraging UofL for more money. Isn't he already one of, if not the highest-paid AD? Though, if he is ever going to leave UofL, now makes the most sense - RICKY doesn't have many years left and can't beat UK, BOBBY may not be what he once was, and UT has limitless resources.

Well, if it's any consolation I had a dream last night that during the Florida game Towles pulls it down and runs only to get his left leg nearly snapped off in an injury so gruesome the camera immediately cut away.

-Yeah, Towles will float those deep balls. Flacco can throw the ball a mile on a rope. Great kid but I have a feeling Barker will be giving him everything he can handle next off-season.

-Final day to donate to Wildcat Willy for B2BC.

-Funny I don't hear the Clempson faithful that attended the game raving about how beautiful it is over on Floyd St and how amazing the atmosphere for Gameday.

Clemson is a great southern university and has a really nice campus but it's no different than the countless other non-city school southern Universities that care about football. Last season Card fans acted like they just found Utopia and were the first ones to see it.

I'm not really sure the arm's there. Flacco has a cannon.
[laughing]

Lorenzen has said Towles has as much arm strength or more than himself during college.

Check out his 40 + yard deep ball to Badet off his back foot under pressure last week for EX.

Arm strength is not what is keeping Towles from Elite.

Guys, I'll try to teach wcc a few things on the way down next week so he doesn't embarrass any of us.

I'll also try not to drink a handle of Fireball mixed with a sixer of Angry Orchard so I don't embarrass any of us.

Yeah, no Fireball this year, William. Your puking made the drive an extra half hour.

* Well he is 6'5", tough, and by all reports, a good guy... but he isn't accurate and his deep ball tends to flutter past 30 yards.

* PJCS Sites and Sounds...
Clemson fans were really mesmerized by the selection of alcohol
Louisville fans got very offended by mentions of the late arriving crowd... also weird that the stadium was never 100% full
Place has really aged poorly over the last several years. I can remember how new everything looked there when I was in high school and how out-dated everything looks now
Huge contrast in vibe comparing to a UK game... not that they were friendly to anyone, more that they really didn't pay much attention to Clemson fans

How weird is it going to be in 5 or 6 years to watch clips from that game and see a #1 next to Mississippi State.

I can't live in a world that Geese takes up for and likes our players. Just not going to work for me.

I like Towles a lot. I think he's a leader. Plays damn hard. Has a ton of talent. It's easy for me to live with his mistakes and slight inadequacies as a result.

However, I am curious about Barker in a "wonder what the fuss is about" kind of way. Towles is still the clear choice, but I'd like to at least see Drew play a bit.
