I actually enjoy Skyline Chili, Larosa's and Montgomery Inn but you Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky folks can stick that Goetta up your asss.

No clue to what expect on Saturday. Need to get a little more creative to help Towles out early so he can gain confidence. Rollouts, quick outs, etc. People are down on Dawson but I thought his game planning & calls in the 1st half against Louisiana and S Carolina were awesome. He saw the weaknesses and took advantage.

Surely to goodness we can get some picks on Matty Mauk. Some defensive points would go a long way.

Thursday Shorts (Non-Longform):

- Damn, so no Richie and no SAE this weekend.

- Needed a new show so finally got around to starting "Freaks And Geeks" (16 years later)- damn, how many of today's actors got their start on that show? James Franco, Linda Cardinelli, Seth Rogen, Jason Segel, numerous That Guys, Busy Phillips, etc. Anyway, so far, I really dig it.

- Boat, Willy and wcc sans female companions Saturday...:pimp:

- Was thinking about it...I now believe Sloot's first week post-game ***** OUT was wisely by design. By blowing up on a crew of close friends, including loudmouth BBdK, she knew that a) it wouldn't amount to any permanent damage and b) BBdK would report it to GYERO on Monday. This would send a message and thus set the tone for the rest of the season regarding postgame activities.

- The awesome thing about me- I don't give a **** about the Joneses, let alone keeping up with them.

- I really wasn't a fan 15ish years ago, but the fleece vest has become a staple of my Fall/Winter drobe over the last few years. Very comfortable.

- I'm not conceding on Bridges yet, but not looking good. At least we have that Matthews/Mulder cushion. Still, why is it so hard for Cal to land elite SFs?

- Some Current Athletes I Like (seem cool): Bryce Harper, Aaron Rodgers, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Andy Luck, Richard Sherman

- Some Current Athletes I Dislike (seem like bags): Russell Wilson, Chris Paul, Gronk, Phillip Rivers

- If I'm ranking the women on Mr. Robot, the easy #1 EVEN WHILE PREGNANT is Tyrell's wife. Not even close.

- Not sure what to think regarding this Toby Keith concert. He has some decent songs. The seats are free and 8 rows from the stage. Curious about the crowd.

The bar for the drunk *** award was set rather high last weekend. Hopefully nobody comes close this weekend.

Kenji's 'The Food Lab' book arrived yesterday, damn.

Not sure what I was expecting, but not a 960 page Hard Cover book with dimensions the size of a closed laptop. Thing is incredible. Guy is about to be *really* rich...

BBdK: Fall is so awesome
DBags: Mid January sucks

K, great stuff, thanks. [sick]

"kentucky struggles against the dual threat quarterback" has been repeated so many times over the years that it's universally accepted. other than anecdotal, is there any actual evidence of this??

our defense sucks. our team sucks. we pretty much struggle against EVERY quarterback.

Yeah, last year's UL game should have poked a giant hole in this theory.

Nope, only dual threats. We pretty much owned Peyton Manning, Terry Dean, Eric Zeier, Danny Wuerffel, David Greene, etc.

One of the great mysteries of UK football is that Mike Major - easily the shittiest defensive coordinator we've ever had - did as good a job as anyone in keeping Antwaan Randel-El under wraps when he was at IU. Maybe we can bring him in as a consultant.

Getting Rubio on KSR was impressive and Rubio himself was impressive in the interview. Without getting into specifics, because that will lead down a political rabbit hole no one wants to read, I don't think Rubio sidestepped or talked around any issues. It will be interesting if any of his Trump comments make the national news cycle. He crushed him.

Uppity XU fan not happy that XU alum Boehner invites Cal to hear the pope speak instead of XU coach and alum Chris Mack.

Know your role, I guess.

WTF? Your yard is a postage stamp and can be cut in 20 minutes. Probably why you're starting to look like Tim Herron.
Would take about an hour and 20 minutes as I used to mow it. Too much stress on this old man's back now tho.

UK fan is done with football season. I guess the prospects of sleeping on Euclid Avenue for a ticket to the Matthew Mitchell variety show was too much to handle.

Going to be a **** crowd Saturday. Won't blame Stoops a bit when he bounces.

? I think it will be a great & near-full crowd by kickoff...

**** crowd, really?

You've actually lasted about a week longer than usual yourself, so congrats on that...although I sense you're maybe 1 game away based on that post.

I've got my parking pass as a bellwether. Sold it last week online for $150 within an hour. I've had it on there since Tuesday morning for $90 and haven't gotten a single bite.

HOOPS.

Last week was as big of a buildup as we've had in quite awhile for a home game.

The crowd will be fine. We're 2-1, playing a ranked team at night. The parking troubles/nightmares may have something to do with that as well...

Hope nobody buys it though.

This is a top 25 team visiting. In many ways it's a bigger game considering what's at stake.

Still, folks have Champions Classic flights/hotel rooms to pay for. Finishing the season 2-1 isn't bad.

To Billy Joe Wildcat it sure is. Yep.

Top 25 team and back to back SEC East champ, to the learned fan, is much bigger.

Enjoy.
