Korem and his program are being blamed for the locker room issues? Lol. Lol.
Amazing.

The guy who up until last night was built up that UK fans should be in fear of an NFL team snatching him away any second, much less another more serious football program. And the $45M practice/training facility is being built with a lot of his specific wants and needs.

No offense to JRowland, but if you are gonna lay out a hitpiece like that at least have one of your damn sources give SOMETHING specific that Korem is doing/asking that has everyone so unhappy.

"Sources say the team is very unhappy with the high performance program. The unhappiness is widespread. The unhappiness has been going on for some time. Unhappiness. Stoops is aware of the Unhappiness."

There's about a million times more likelihood that the alleged problems within the team stem from the QB situation than the damned strength coach. If you're splitting the reps with the 1's 50% to each guy and have been wishy washy publicly about the starting QB, then you're cultivating an environment for guys on the team to 'choose sides' so to speak. Blaming the strength coach for locker room issues is laughable. The guy has been here the whole time and suddenly he's the problem. Uh huh.

UK players looking for excuses/pointing fingers is all that is. Shocked Rowland doesn't see through that.

We legitimately have a team full of pussies. Disappointing.
Meh, he's got a source on the team, from his angles it seems like it's on the offensive side(may even be Dawson as he was pretty defensive about the issues on O not being he's fault), and I think a few people are in CYA mode.

You know, UK football fans - when it comes down to it - don't ask for much. Play to the best of your ability and don't embarrass yourselves (and us). In the past month, even those meager expectations haven't been met. And now we have this scapegoating horseshit when all we heard at the beginning of the year was how everyone could run 20 mph and were better conditioned and blah blah blah. Pure nonsense.

Hopefully this won't affect our plans for anti-gravity waterfalls and Gatorade whirlpools and all that other **** that's going into the new facility.

All these protests by liberal college students are just a ploy by Obama to distract from the War on Christmas. Wake up Sheeple!

Thursday Shorts:

- So, to watch Saturday's game on an AppleTV, I simply have to go to the Watch ESPN app and then plug in my Time Warner account info?

- Bill Simmons thinks Towns may be a Top 25 NBA player right now.

- Listened to Jon Rothstein on Rome yesterday. Dude cracks me up. He's like a Jewish college basketball version of Stephen A. Smith (minus the dumbassery). Same exact cadence.

- How good is Boston Market? I've never lived in a place where it was nearby so it's never been part of my fast food scene...but it intrigues me.

- ****, Fox announces today, right?

- I don't know why I was surprised- well, because I like both Amy Schumer and Bill Hader- but Trainwreck was pretty terrible, not even good as far as romantic comedies are concerned. They marketed it as a new kind of romantic comedy, but nope- same old ****. Disappointing.

- What a weekend shaping up. TWO UK basketball games. UK @ Vandy. Dinner at Virgil's tomorrow night postgame. Maybe a movie Saturday night.

-Well that's disappointing. I was planning on watching Trainwreck on the flight. Hader is really good in most stuff.

-Rothstein is great. That dude lives CBB. Knows more about obscure teams than anyone.

welp the dummy actually inked up with them. So monumentally unnecessary and stupid, was Rick gonna jerk his ride if he said he would wait until Spring?

But on the plus side, now Lloyd Gardner & the King of the Bluegrass can officially offer the kids high school a large amount of money to come play next month. Since the old fossil moron blatantly bragged about his payoff scam on Deener's show couple weeks ago without shame or irony, as he at the same time defended UL's NCAA cheating allegations.

-Actually really liked "Trainwreck". Then again, I don't watch many romantic comedies, and I love Hader.

-Georgia Tech/Virginia Tech is a terrible Thursday night game on paper, but I've always found GT's offense fascinating to watch, and the Hokies are usually good for at least WUT play.

-Please please please let Deron Davis pick Mississippi State today over IU. Him picking the Bulldogs, 24 hours after a nearly identical player picked the Bulldogs, would be such great kindle for an IU meltdown. Not like they have a legit shot at many top-50's anymore.

-Think Gonzaga will be better than expected. Josh Perkins slides right in at the point, and the McClellan kid who transferred from Vandy will play well too. Frontcourt strength goes without saying. Top 5 IMO. Feel much better about them than I do Maryland.

I wonder if these college folks decrying racism are aware of the enrollment quota's that essentially ensure underqualified minorities receive preferential treatment over whites and overqualified minority groups like Asians.

Oh, sorry, THAT sort of racism is ok? Got it.

-Blaming the S&T coach? That's a pretty bad sign. I bet Scott Holsopple could whip these guys into shape, just like he has the KU Jayhawks.

-Boston Market? Isn't it like $6 for a whole chicken plus 2-3 sides? So, yeah. It was an occasional trip for us in college due to the volume of food, but don't think I've even considered going to one since then.

- Maybe I'm being too hard on it. I was just expecting a little more than the typical billshit romcom.

- Yeah, he's one of the best in the business right. Speaking of which- now with Grantland down, I wonder what Titus is going to do...?

* Trainwreck was pretty good for that genre, I thought. Chad is just afraid of confident women.

* Does anyone here actually think UK's players seem stronger and faster than their opponents? Is this the 2nd year in a row our players are wearing down much more than usual halfway through the season?

Korem = a bunch of liberal mumbo jumbo. Watch Rocky IV and tell me which way works better.

Make those boys grow beards and send them to some snowy mountains with guys that look like they are related to KGar following them around with chains on their tires. THEN we can talk high performance strength & conditioning.

* The radiation treatment my vet looked into for my cat? $8,200 a pop. Who would actually pay that?

Well, they're consensus Top 10- right? Agree, though, this may FINALLY be their year, considering they're about the only team in the country with a legit postgame...and they have TWO of them. Plus Wiltjer.

I don't know! That's my point. I see the commercials, but I don't think I've ever eaten at one.

Mid-day break on the final day in Paris... been a whirlwind last 9 days or so and I'm running on empty. Even cancelled the two day stop in NYC on the way home bc we'll probably need that time to do nothing but sleep, so it would have been a wasted effort.

London was alright- but I've spent a lot of time there previously and was more looking forward to the Paris leg... which has been pretty awesome. 1st time here for both of us and we've crammed a lot into the time we had. The people we have met have been very genuine... i really didnt know what to expect. My french is limited to the most basic phrases, but we have gotten by pretty well, and most speak english anyway.

The common theme from both cities from locals is, and i quote multiple people, "I wish you couldve visited before the muslims showed up." And thats all they really have in common.

Have you met Sloot? Sorry bout your pussycat.

Boston Market was great for what it was. Actually miss having one around. The creamed spinach and macncheese were phenom.

Yeah for all the hype, can't say we look turbo boosted on the field. Blame the strength coach.

My top 5 favorite college basketball writers

1. Mark Titus
2. Jason King
3. Mike DeCourcy
4. Jon Rothstein
5. Luke Winn

Rothstein could climb to as high as #2 if he shored up those player comps.

And there are quite a few other good ones as well. I gave Winn the nod because I love the advanced metrics stuff he does. Brian Hamilton at SI does a really good job and nailed the post-UCLA game article as well as it could have been done. Reid Forgrave at Fox must be good because Cal lets him in on a ton of stuff. SL Price is good. One would think this would cause fellas like Jeff Goodman, Dana O'Neill et al to step up their game. Or not.

Back in my early 2nd shift Enquirer days, one of the hens would occasionally run to Boston Market. Early 20's Willy would eat that **** up.

Then early 20's Willy ate some rotten gravy from Boston Market. Early 20's Willy has turned into early 40's Willy and he has still not eaten Boston Market again.

But, enjoy your rotten gravy and enjoy taking your classy woman to dinner in touching Bellevue. Loser.

This is a SOLID Top 5. With that said, King pisses me off. He hardly ever writes about CBB anymore and when he does, it's ******** columns about stuff I don't care about.

Titus is the best and most entertaining. DeCourcy is probably the guy I most respect now that Wetzel has moved onto sports in general. Love Rothstein.

Besides Rothstein, I think the CBS and SI guys are all just blah. I read them, but they don't do much for me. They're okay.

Brennan and Metcalf are all right. Aaron Torres really isn't a CBB guy totally, but I like him.

i would pay a pretty silly amount, if it actually guaranteed the health/life of my pet.

boston market is terrible. kenny rogers roasters, on the other hand =

speaking of roasters, that place was the anchor store at turfland mall. pretty much the beginning of the end, imo.

for you chris stapleton fans -- what are your favorite handful of songs? still efforting fandom. sounds awfully bluesy to me.

lord help us if the gd strength and conditioning coach ever has a major impact on ANY sports program. good or bad. literally, they could hire a 12 year old to do that job and it wouldn't bother me.

-I think early on the past 2 years we looked faster than we're used to. Without a doubt. So I don't know if it's injuries or fundamentals later in the season but especially early last year it seemed like we were flying around on D.

-Chase wouldn't, we know that much.

Agree on Jason King. His "King's Court" column was the best weekly read in college hoops. Sucks that he's dropped that.

I did the radiation for my dog a couple times (up near cincy actually) but maybe for both times it approached that amount in total. My dog was still 9.5 and i had more hope than your pussycat seems to in age.I thought it was the right decision at that time for that dog but after time away from it i wouldn't do it again.
