What's crazy is Cal has a 5 star in Simmons holding his dick waiting for our call if Monk doesn't commit.

-More more versatile and mobile but I love that he has that tear the rim off dunking style like Mega. Dude is a freak.

So Cal requested a meeting with the Kid and without the AAU coach. Seals the deal and we take another 5* out of NC. Lol. Sit back enjoy a shocktop and nice buzzcut.

So what exactly happened to flip the kid? He was a virtual 100% NCState lock until literally late last night. Tommy?

There's this AAU-connected dude from Texas on Rafters who is not a UK fan but posts quite a bit. He was the guy saying long before UK was even going hard at Fox (and before Fox exploded) that he was waiting on a UK offer. Dude also had been saying that UK had a really good shot at Bam, that the kid wanted to to come to UK. His handlers obviously wanted NC State.

You have to think getting Bam instead of Giles who will be coming off an ACL might be the better get. We're only getting either 1 for a year so I think Bam will give us the better mileage.

- [laughing] @ Bengal Fan booing his undefeated team last night.
Ridiculous. A lotta Chumps at PBS last night. Crowd was getting real salty towards the end last night- I blame these nouveau riche Bengals fans that didn't suffer through the 90s like we did.

In other words, as always, I blame these millennial hipster college kids.

Jones said last night that Cal had been pushing for a meeting with Bam without the AAU coach present. The AAU coach was apparently the big NC State pusher. He said he assumed Cal had gotten that meeting and that he had apparently gotten it done.

This may be a stupid question, but does this mean for sure no Jarrett Allen? I assume that was his position and scholarship so he's out.

Kramer, I absolutely consider Bam a better get than Giles at this point. He'll still be recovering by the start of next year, conditioning will be an issue, and I'd rather not be holding my breath every game. Not saying Giles is overrated because he didn't pick us, obviously he's a monster, but the top 10 in this class are all elite. Give me the guy with the clean bill of health.

I am able to use credit cards reward points through 5/3rd to get Bengals tickets, between that and the booing it appears that Cincy is really behind this team.

It isn't the millennials. It's Price Hill Guy. Works all year to attend to get all beered up 8x every fall, watch the Bengals play and maybe get into a fracas or two. Because he's been a Bengals fan is entire life, he's extremely bitter. Because he's from the West Side, he's red as hell. He has no time for nonsense- especially not from Andy Dalton and Hue Jackson. Doesn't trust either one of them. He comes into the stadium half-cocked.

Can one of you college basketballs give me a good comp for our incoming players? Fox is basically Wall with a jump shot? I just saw a Big Dog Robinson comp to Adebayo on Twitter. Let's hear it.

Adebayo isn't Glenn Robinson. Christ. Robinson was a turbo SF. Adebayo is a big strong athletic dunking machine 4-man.

I think it is safe to say Skal and Murray are gone after this year. Poythress graduates.

But…

Coming Back - Matthews, Mulder, Hawkins, Willis, Humphries, Wynard

Maybe? Briscoe, Ulis, Lee

Frosh - SKJ, Fox, Bam, Gabriel

Maybe? Monk or Simmons

Walk ons - David, Floreal

What a roster.

I know we expect Ulis and Lee to bolt, but we might need to do a little organizational adjustment to free up a scholly for Monk.

-If Giles is healthy he's better than Bam, no question.

-Allen is out, we don't need another 6'9 PF type. Assume he'll land at Texas.

-Peavey is awesome and I hope he's our next AD. He's that dude that can rival Jurich in his bravado or whatever you would call that. I love Mitch but obviously he's a conservative dude. Thankfully he's smart enough to bring in guys that counter that mindset though. Yesterday I wasn't selling him short, I just don't think it has a huge bearing on Cal's decision to stay/go. I think it's pretty obvious Cal intends on staying or at least as obvious as its going to get.

-Sad that in 4-5th grades I knew way more about current foreign affairs than I do now. I was a beast in our Current Events weekly post video(what were those damn things called?) quiz and quick recall.

It's impossible for Joe Gucci Loafers to have a grasp on foreign policy with regards to the Middle East these days.

Pretty cool how we snatched up a five star PF we weren't necessarily expecting.

Wonder what's going on on Floyd Street?

Big Dog could shoot lights out and was a stretch 4 or wing in college also much shorter. Bam is going to be a turbo rebounder rim assualter. I don't think he'll be hanging around the perimeter much.

Fox- BIG, long PG who can get to the rim and distribute, not John Wall but athletic, great defender, good outside shooter as well

Monk- electric SG with deep range, freaky athlete

Adebayo- see above

SKJ- good not great athlete, smooth skilled 6'10" stretch big with polished J

Gabriel- loooooong, athletic combo forward with potential to be a good 3-pt shooter, known for his motor

Is Casey's PTI(pti) hate and complete ignorant dismissal of Drake actually the worst take in the history of the thread? When it comes down to I think it may be.

How awesome is it that pretty much every year before the season even starts...we already know we're going to be awesome again the following year.

[cheers]

What a fun time to be a Wildcat.
Yep. Im extremely excited about our chances this year but next year imo will be Cal's best team at Kentucky minus 12. Our best teams though seem to fall in line when other teams in the country have really great teams. For example, next years team would roll through this years college basketball. 2012 was a good year and last year was pretty damn solid.

Michigan State may have something to say next year but it will be a Duke/UK pick your side type of year. I fully expect the game of the century in the championship game. If i had a bracket id fill it in now.

-Willis will be an interesting one to watch. He could absolutely blow up if he continues this trajectory. I'd love nothing more than for that dude to get drafted. Tomlin and UL fans have used him as their one -> "Heeheheheh what about Willis, he's awful. Lol."

-
As of today Ulis, Lee, Murray, Poythress, Skal are gone.

Like this front court though... and backcourt STACKED:
Wynrad, Humphries, Bam, Killer-Jones, Gabriel, Willis, Briscoe, Fox, Hawkins, Mulder, Monk
