I can't wear Banana Republic. It's made for people who are built like they live in an actual banana republic and don't have access to proper nutrition.

Banana works fine for me for chinos and slim fit dress shirts, polos, boxers, etc. I steer clear of the "suits" b/c I'm a grown man, and that means my suit pants should be tailored. Of course, at 6'3' and 165, I fit their third-world target demographic perfectly.

Figured ukguy78 or Nelson can come by and explain the impact, if any. Email from Starwood basically said "no changes to your SPG account", but that's pretty much never the case...

The next merger that actually benefits points-centric people will be the first. Disappointed to see SPG get folded into Marriott, but it makes good sense from the business perspective. I like/use both programs for different reasons. SPG's sweet spot is/are their mid-tier (cat 4 and 5) hotels, which can often be a good value, while the higher categories (6&7) are overpriced IMO.

Marriott often has good value at the lower end with their limited service properties (Courtyard's, Fairfield Inn, etc.) and the travel package redemptions.

No idea how they plan to convert SPG points into Marriott, but anything less than 1:3 is a bad deal. Of course, it'll be months before any of these things are announced.

I used to hit BR all the time. I just thought it was in that Express category and went away after around 25. Aren't their shirt and pants in the 60-70 range? Just think you can do better at that range.

dude. your knees and joints don't exactly wake up every morning all fresh, energized, and happy to be lugging your fat *** around.

i ran my skinny self around town for 46 miles last week, but that's a sigh of relief compared to your 300 pounds walking down the street. ts.

Because you never see people in their 50's and 60's running. Their joints are worn out.

And Ben Howland manages to lose to Southern University already. Why is Malik Newman not playing yet?

race i volunteered this weekend = #6 finisher ran a 17:50 5k. that's a 5:45/minute pace. he's 59.

ill take my chances with joints over doxmans liver, cardiovascular system, and whatever breaks down when your fat *** neglects your type two diabetes.

it's actually pretty amazing how competitive the 50-59 age group is at local races.

huge runner pet peeve (in case you couldn't tell) = when a fat lazy sack of s*** criticizes you and preaches about long term health concerns. my dad has tried this nonsense before. he's 67 and can barely walk. DEFINITELY a non runner.

Rack, Coolcat. Nothing gives some of these ******** a diamond-cutter like a 54-51 rock fight and future NBA all-stars averaging 14 ppg. Time to show them what actual basketball looks like. (I hope...)
It feels like in the last 8-10 years or so, the guys who have gotten a ton of love from the media as the best strategists are the ones whose teams win the most 48-46 games, like it takes less coaching to have a good offensive team. "Look at how well coached these guys are. Look at how much control this coach has over his team."

If they have balls enough to stick with the suggested enforcement of the rules, this script is going to get flipped and people are going to start appreciating dudes like Dave Rose from BYU, whose team gives negative f's on defense and averages 92 ppg, and he's a GREAT coach, just like Tony Bennett is.

So yeah, rack this, rack Mattox, rack offense. 78 ppg or bust, just like always.

Big Blue Nation is a monster, and it’s feeding time again. If our rivals say we are delusional, then so be it. What some call delusion, we call joy. If they say we are setting ourselves up for more heartbreak, then fine — we weren’t doing anything with our heart in the off season anyway. If our rivals say we are taking this game way too seriously and we need to get a grip on our priorities, we can only offer the humble rejoinder that we never used prostitutes to get a recruit to commit, but please, remind us about our priorities.

God, yourself, and the Kentucky Wildcats: Big Blue Nation and the search for an ending

Virginia and Bennett have been media darlings for the last few years and I just found that particularly funny that a talking head was already whining at how actually enforcing the rules has seemingly hurt their boring *** program.

You know the Final Four everyone wants? Kentucky v. Kansas & UNC v. Duke with UNC or Duke & Kentucky in the finals. No one gives a **** about these other crappy little programs after the first weekend. The more talent is allowed to play basketball, the more likely you will end up with that kind of Final Four.

I've yet to read a definitive article linking running with arthritis or joint problems. On the other hand, I've read plenty saying that osteoarthritis is going to happen if it's in your genes, and that running and exercise can help ease symptoms. The idea of "resting your joints" is archaic.

Not back tracking. I'm being serious. I haven't bought anything from there in 10 years. Last I remember it was an upscale express. Trust me, I'm not stealing your styles.

PTI, you need to go run the Athens Authentic Marathon in Greece. Supposedly traces the original route from 490 B.C. Hard as hell, but fun and you get to finish in the 1896 Olympic Stadium. It's a must for anyone who appreciates the marathon.

Could've happened last year, may happen this year, but next year UK and Duke will play in the championship game. Write that down.

Watching Siena/Duke now... Not sure how much you can really learn from a game like this, but here's what I've got...

--Grayson Allen is playing with a ton of confidence. He's strong and fast. Reminds me of a smaller version of what we want Alex Poythress to be. Constantly aggressive, but under control. Attacks the rim from the perimeter looking to dunk everything. Not sure who we put on him. Ulis can't guard him and Murray can't guard him. Matthews? Poythress? The problem is I don't think anyone else can really guard Ingram either. He's bringing the ball up some and is Duke's most talented player and it's not close.

--Speaking of who Ulis guards, I really don't know. They don't start anyone under 6'5. That said, I don't really know who guards him either. Ulis could carve up the Duke defense the same way we remember Shabazz Napier and Boatright causing problems for our bigger wings. That will be interesting to watch.

--Offensively I think we get ours. They have no answer for Skal at the high post. He would eat Plumlee alive, they'll have to double him. Ingram may do a good job on Murray, but I think he's always gonna get his. They probably can't contain Ulis. We're gonna score points.

--Amile Jefferson is crashing the boards hard. Seems to be an emphasis for him to get to every missed shot. Think inside you'll see Poythress and/or Lee on him and Skal on Plumlee. They'll try to drive in on Skal and get him in foul trouble if they can.

--Kennard is a spot-up three point shooter at this point in his career and I don't think Jeter will see the court much.

I think the key will be shutting down Ingram and Allen. Nobody else can really burn you. Get out on shooters, do your best to keep them off the boards, but really just slow down Allen and Ingram. Put Poythress on one of them. Not sure what you do with the other. Maybe challenge Murray, Briscoe, or Matthews to step up to that challenge. Figure that out and I think we win a close one.
