Pretty cool how we snatched up a five star PF we weren't necessarily expecting.

Wonder what's going on on Floyd Street?

Oh....

@LaurenWAVE3TV: UofL Alum Director on leave accused of misusing money at her last job. https://t.co/cedHR6IVm4
Amazing, a story that combines the typical skeeziness of a UL employee along with the insufferable douchebaginess of a long distance runner

An internal audit from UGA found Dietzler was using her position as head of the Alumni Association to take taxpayer-funded trips to run marathons in Chicago, Washington D.C., and Monterey, Calif.

After signing up for the races, Dietzler would "request her staff to set up meetings or events in the area" so she could get the university to reimburse her airfare and in some cases, pay for the hotel, too, auditors said.

"Anyone to justify the reason that she is staying in these cities," said Scott Kinney, Dietzler's assistant at UGA. Kinney was the one in charge of setting up the meetings at marathon sites.

drake is NOT a kentucky fan. he's a self promoter. just pointing that out. no different than mid-aughts kenny chesney being a "diehard" tennessee/red sox/florida/tebow/heat fan.

that uofl alumni director was mingling school expense money with personal trips, using her university issued card to pick up the tab for bs trips......to run marathons. i like it.

most athletic calipari class ever?? bam and fox in particular. mercy.

What are you thoughts on "Price Hill Girls" ?

Love that video.

I've mentored in Lower Price Hill. It's a depressing place. My mentee's life goal was to become an MMA fighter. His fallback was to work on the Ohio on a tugboat.

That incline area up in Price Hill where Incline Public House and Primavista are is one of the more interesting neighborhoods in Cincy, though. It's basically one block and it's awesome, but tucked in, surrounded by ****. I wouldn't want to live there but was impressed.

What were you AND BBdK doing for work on a Sunday night in Nashville exactly?

Considering almost everything he puts out is a hit, not sure what you're really trying to say.

You comb through his albums? Doubt that.

-Lol at Kenny Chesney/UT compared to Drake/UK. Good call. If only we were recruiting 13 year old girls or 45 year old cougars.

Jerry Meyer:

Five-star big man Edrice Adebayo had been long considered a lock for N.C. State. He is from the area. Played on an adidas sponsored travel team (N.C. State is an adidas school). And his teammate Dennis Smith committed to N.C. State. But John Calipari raised eyebrows with his late summer pursuit of Adebayo. Perhaps he wasn't such a N.C. State lock after all. And indeed that is the case as the five-star power forward announced his intentions to be a Wildcat this morning.

Word began to spread yesterday that Kentucky appeared to be the choice for Adebayo. Here is the reasoning behind that sentiment. One, Adebayo has always personally favored Kentucky. He loves the style of play, player development, environment and coaching staff. Two, Coach Calipari convinced Adebayo to make his own decision and do what he felt he should do. Three, the adidas, AAU team, N.C. State connection wasn't strong enough to persuade Adebayo not to go with Kentucky.

So now Kentucky has a physical, athletic, high motor big man who will do immediate damage in the SEC. Think Kenneth Faried. And as Faried has continued to become more skilled with the basketball, I expect Adebayo to do the same. It's not that he isn't skilled. His scoring skills are just raw and in need of refinement.

Doing our traditional "order every single beer at Tootsies" game.

Miller High Life, Pabst, MGD, Icehouse, Busch....all of them. Weren't allowed to order the same beer twice. This was wayyy before craft beer was a thing [cheers]

...had completely forgotten about that. Don't even remember why we were there.

-First UK basketball memory is my buying a commemorative mug from the Herald-Leader after the '78 title. He displayed it in his office until retirement. It's the mug in my avatar.

First UK game I remember watching on TV was UK-UNC, 1 vs. 2, the day after Christmas in 1981. Watched it at the home of a prominent booster and Cal buddy.

First UK game I remember attending....'84 vs. Tennessee.

-Primavista was a nice meal with a great view, but Chad's right.....10 steps out of the parking lot and you're clutching your wallet. Just drops off considerably. Reminiscent of the zoo neighborhood.

-Wasn't thrilled about Bolden or Allen, so this is also a relief in addition to just being great news in general.

-How about Sean Miller throwing shade at UCLA for its lack of fan support? He's right though. For UCLA to have a less-than-half-packed house on a Sunday night(when traffic is easier) is pretty weak. I'm sure T.J. Leaf's switch from Zona to UCLA had nothing to do with that comment.

bwahaha.

first job out of college. boss sends me to bowling green to step in for the manager while he was on vacation, then asks bbdk to come along. keep me company or something i guess. we were like 24 years old.

absolutely got housed in nashville every single day that week. company dime.

my expense report was like 2 grand for food/booze. old boy about **** when i sent that in, then again twice as hard when he realized i hadn't even included the hotel. another g. oops.

takes a strong combination of youthful stupidity and hubris to pull off that nonsense.

Yep. Can't believe the turn here. I wasn't excited about either guy at all, and to be honest, was a tad concerned about our post play (although I was optimistic Humphries would improve a bunch). Now we add a lottery pick.[laughing]
