In other news, I had no idea families took as many trips as I am seeing on facebook.

FALL BREAK --> OFF TO NEW YORK WITH THE KIDS
THANKSGIVING --> WATERCOLOR WITH THE KIDS
CHRISTMAS --> KID FIRST TRIP TO THE BAHAMAS
JANUARY-FEBRUARY --> IS IT SPRING BREAK YET LOL

Is this the new expectation amongst the affluent? Honest question. I mean, I had a nice childhood and all but Spring Break at the Gulf was all we knew/got, and I feel #blessed for that.

You talking about Sports guy in Indy?

Facebook has really escalated - and may have even created- the Hen Oneupmanship Collision Course with Armageddon. It's a constant state of comparing oneself to other hens and their hen antics and then trying to top them. Critical mass is inevitable and will prove to be the downfall of us all.

I don't have kids lol, but traveling with them as infants just seems miserable.

Always amazed how many families I see of this type on our vacations. I mean, taking your 8 month old to Aruba just seems like a waste of money (and hassle) IMO

It's been a boon for the "family pictures outside in the fall because LEAVES" and artisan cupcake industries though.

There's been talk of possibly planning a vacation WITHOUT kids. Just talk right now but that's the scuttlebutt...

If you're in the women's knee-high leather boots business you're probably taking quarterly family vacations. Because LEAVES AND HORSES.

Did you know that if you don't prepare your child an artistically-inspired bento box for lunch every day, you're failing as a parent? Well, you are. Enjoy community college, PB&J-eatin' poors.

Once a year to the gulf. Disneyworld when I was 8. That's it. You know why? Vacationing with kids sucks balls. We've been on 3 vacations with the kids so far, increasing the number of children every time, and every time is harder than the last. It's like taking kids to a restaurant except for a week, there's no escape, and you're constantly being reminded that you COULD be relaxing but you're not. Kids are the best but man are they awful sometimes!!! !

Meeting up with SAE and UCL later to create a passive aggressive but hilarious music parody video about goddamned kids and wives if anyone is interested.

Also got a little pissed when he went psycho on Matthews, screaming "THAT WAS A ******** MOVE" after the kid made a great steal and was just trying to bullet straight to the basket....he lost the ball out of bounds, big deal.

He was mad because Matthews was crying for a foul after he lost it OB and was screaming at him to just PLAYYYYY. Wasn't mad he lost it out of bounds, but moreso his reaction to the official.

I think I went on two vacations total as a kid. I usually just stayed home and worked. It beat having to spend a week with my mother and sister while they fought the whole time.

If your idea of a "stressful day" is shoppin' for yoga pants at 11:00, yoga at 1:00, and orderin' a pizza for dinner at 5:00, you might be takin' quarterly family vacations.

- Zags-Washington on the Deuce- how can any sports fan hate this week?

- Probably not surprising considering my 12 years if GYERO takes but I want nothing to do with tropical holiday trips. I want my Thanksgivings in the 40s/50s and Christmas cold.

I am a much better cook than my wife. Not even close. Not only am I a better cook, but I am also a much more efficient cook. I can go to the grocery, have dinner prepared, and the kitchen clean with the dishwasher running in less than an hour for $15 or so.

By contrast, if my wife were to "make dinner," that would entail her leaving work early, spending $125 at the grocery, 1.5 hours of prep/cooking, an erratic meal pace (veggies are ready but it'll be another 20 minutes for the chicken!), a warzone of pans, dishes, and discarded ingredients, and me being an unappreciative *******.

That's just reality.

It's remarkable how much hens spend on groceries.

Her: "That whole meal only cost $40."

Me: "Then why the hell didn't we just pick up some takeout."

We usually do one Florida type vacation a year, and then a bunch of weekends here and there...Chicago, St. Louis, etc. I'm just way too busy right now to take off for a week several times a year.

-I gave up on the grocery argument years ago. No sense fighting it. Upside, if the world ends and we need to survive for a long period of time we have enough food to last at least 4 years.

Lol at taking a vacation somewhere cold during the holidays. Psst. Only exception would be skiing.

I forgot the NCAA vacated 100+ wins from Syracuse and Jimmy. Well they just lost the appeal and the Ws will remain vacated. That's what I want more than anything for UL. Honestly don't see how they'll get around it. Multiple players during that 4 year run weren't eligible.

No, there is $100 off the Food Scientist Package, which is still $395, but includes the wifi model.

Learn reading, counselor.

http://anovaculinary.com/2015-holiday-sale/

K. Well, this is your first post about the entire thing, which specifically references the bluetooth version not really being on sale at Amazon.

Amazon prime slashed price on Anova. Was $179.00, now $178.75. May have to pull the trigger.

Bluetooth model

I then sent you a link indicating that yes, the bluetooth model is on sale.

You then changed what you originally referenced and said you were looking for the wifi model. You did this in order to avoid looking like an incompetent boob. You failed. You were wrong, and you still are. The Food Scientist Package, which DOES contain the wifi model, which you weren't even talking about to begin with, IS on sale.

No, the wifi model by itself isn't on sale, but you weren't actually looking for that one until you were confirmed wrong about the bluetooth model.

Get pumped, Doc.
